Richard “Dick” J. Lewis, 78, of Irwin, passed away peacefully at home Monday, July 22, 2019. He was born February 18, 1941 in Braddock, a son of the late Thomas J. Lewis Jr. and Virginia L. (Wescott) Lewis. He was a 1959 graduate of Jeannette High School, and a long time member of First Presbyterian Church, Greensburg . Prior to his retirement, Dick was a plant manager of Latrobe Foundry, Whitney and served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was an avid Steeler fan, loved hunting and fishing with his dad, cousins, and nephews. Dick was an animal lover and will be missed by his “grand –dogs” Zuzu , Lucy, Stella, and Stanley. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved nephew Kevin Thomas Pushic. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Arlene (Gallaway) Lewis, his children Pam (Alex) Cotter of Irwin and Kelly (Glenn) Stants of Smithton; grandchildren Tara, Brandon, Cameron, Kayleigh, Kaine, and Gavin; his siblings Ronald (Jan) Lewis of N.C. and Linda Lewis Frye of Greensburg; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Steve G. Gasparovic, 95, of Ardara, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019. He was born Feb. 1, 1924, in McKeesport, a son of the late Mark and Mary (Blazik) Gasparovic. Steve was a longtime member of Ardara United Presbyterian Church, a proud World War II Air Force veteran, and prior to retirement, he worked as a crane operator at Josh Steel Co., Braddock. He was member of American Legion Post 359, Irwin, and VFW Post 5008, Braddock. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Harold “Archie” Lauterbach

Harold “Archie” Lauterbach, 90, a lifetime resident of Clairton, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Ashbury Heights Nursing Home. He was born in Clairton on March 3, 1929 to the late Peter Joseph and Caroline DeBor Lauterbach. Harold was a well-known figure in the community of Clairton. As a young man he played baseball for United States Steel, Clairton Works. His participation in a “mill team” was a significant part of Pittsburgh history, as noted in an exhibit at the Heinz History Center. He went on to become Facility Manager of Calgon’s packing & shipping facility in the Robinson area of Pittsburgh, a company where he worked for 30 years. Harold drove and helped deliver Meals on Wheels for many years in the Clairton community. Harold volunteered his time at St. Clare of Assisi, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved classical music and the symphony. He is survived by his sister, Doris Mae Manns of Scottdale, nieces and nephews; Michele Bamburak, Eric Manns, Mark Manns, Amy (Joseph) Eichenlaub, Paul (Melissa) Manns, Russ (Colleen) Halt, Beth Mellott, and Carol (Alan) Schriber, Great nieces and nephews; Laura (Josh Warner Burke) Bamburak, Aaron Bamburak, Noah Manns, Savanah Manns, Chloe Eichenlaub, Logan Eichenlaub, Jeremy Halt, Caitlyn Halt, Mikayla Halt, Nathan Mellott, Lily Mellott, Ricky Mellott, Mark Schriber, Leighann Washburns, Great-great nieces and nephews; Quinn Warner Burke, Jake Washburns, and Kaylee Washburns. Archie joins his siblings in everlasting peace and joy; Mary Margaret Lauterbach, Isabel Lauterbach, Helen Halt, and Clifford Lauterbach. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 25th from 2-4 and 6-8 at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. A mass will take place at St. Clare of Assisi Church on Friday at 10, followed by interment at St. Clare of Assisi Cemetery in Clairton. Richard “Rich” Craig Pasqualle, 74, of Clairton, Pa. passed away on Friday July 19, 2019. He is survived by his sons; Richard B (Ruth) Pasqualle, of Monesson, Pa., Justin C. Ostrander, of Finelyville, Pa., and daughters; Amber L. (Jeffery) Bushnell of Butler, Pa., Angela (Scott) Benack of Rostraver, Pa.  His brother, Phillip aka Skip (Elaine) Pasqualle, of Waldorf, MD., and sisters, Marcia Wagner, of Mount Pleasant, Pa., Marjorie Pasqualle, of Deerborn,MI and Marian (Gene) Fine, of Prince Georges County, MD.  As well as 7 grandchildren whom he loved. Rich was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward Highschool class of 1961. He spent his early adulthood serving as a United States Marine. He later earned his Associate Degree in Maintenance Engineering at Triangle Tech. Rich enjoyed spending time listening to oldies and soaking up the sun. Robert “Bob” Anthony Macioce, 86, formerly of Clairton and Forward Twp., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 21, 2019. Born September 22, 1932, he was the son of the late Pasquale “Patsy” and Freda (Russo) Macioce and beloved husband of 50 years to the late Janice (Cochran) Macioce. He was the loving father of Gary J. (Sandra) Macioce of DuBois, Darren P. (Mary Ann) Macioce of Pine Township, Judy A. (Thomas) Wolfgang of Elizabeth and Robert M. (Francine) Macioce of Moon Township; grandfather of eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; and brother of Patricia (Robert) King of Verona and her twin sister, the late Dolores Ann Macioce. Josephine J. Wichman, 97, of Glassport died July 21, 2019.  She is the daughter of the late Peter and Appolonia (Bieniek) Wiktorowski.  Beloved wife of the late Edwin Wichman. She is survived by her sons Father Ed Wichman and David Wichman.  She was preceded in death by brothers Ted, Walter, John and sisters Genevieve and Sister Celestine, SHS. Josephine was retired from Jefferson Hospital, Medical Records.  She was a member of Queen of the Rosary Parish, Ladies Guild and the Rosary Society.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport Wed. from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8.  A funeral mass will be held  Thurs. 10:00 am at Queen of the Rosary Parish with Father Ed Wichman officiating.  Interment following Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Sisters of the Holy Spirit or Sisters of the Divine Redeemer or St. Joseph School, Verona.

Jean Greaves, age 89, of Point Pleasant Retirement Community, formerly of White Oak, died, Saturday, July 20, 2019. She is the daughter of the late Robert Ellsworth and Olive Sigler Shallenberger and was born in McKeesport, PA on Feb. 10, 1930. She is the wife of the late Robert E. “Bob” Greaves who died Jan. 13, 2013.

Jean was the secretary for the former Mayor of McKeesport, Jack Pribanic, and was also a legal secretary for various attorneys and judges in the Mon Valley. She was a former Deacon for Central Presbyterian Church, and a current member of Sampson’s Mills Presbyterian Church. She was formerly a member of the McKeesport Hospital Junior Women’s Committee and a former member of the Board of Directors of the McKeesport Hospital Foundation. She loved the holidays, playing bingo and cards, cruising, and having fun with family and friends.

Jean is survived by her daughters; Sandy (Dennis) Liberatore of Worcester, Mass, Debbie (Mark) Sherer of Penn Twp., Donna (Craig) Curran of Pittsford, NY and Bobbi (Tim) Dunn of White Oak, grandchildren; Dennis (Lynne) Liberatore, Melissa (Mike) Butler, Ryan (Rachel) Mitchell, Ashley (Ryan) Quinton, Natalie (Thomas Pohmer) Curran, Christopher Curran and Brandon Dunn, great grandchildren; Ethan and Ben Butler and Sarah and Danielle Liberatore, Abigail and Olivia Mitchell and Corbin Quinton.

Richard Rates, 77, of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019 at UPMC East.  He was born, June 19, 1942 in Herbert, Pa., a son of the late John and Mary (Kasun) Rates.  Prior to his retirement, Richard was an autoworker for General Motors.  He was a member of St. Agnes Parish, Italian Brotherhood of Guffey, social member of Hahntown Fire Dept., Hartford Heights Fire Dept., Larimer Fire Dept and Lowber Fire Dept.  He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jayne Panesky Rates; and brother, Ronald Rates.  He is survived by his sons, Todd Rates and his wife, Kimberly, Donald Rates and his wife, Dawn; daughter, Susan Cable; sister, Micheline Vargo; and six grandchildren.  Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the James W.
