Walter F. “Tut” Heid, age 89, of Belle Vernon, formerly of Elizabeth, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at home. He was a loving father, husband and a friend to all.
Walter was a graduate of Har-Brack High School and the University of Maryland. An Army veteran serving during the Korean War, he retired as a safety engineer for the steel industry.
He was a member of Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church in Elizabeth Twp., was a past president of the Central Lions Club, and a member of the Sutersville Moose. Born December 15, 1930 in Tarentum, he was a son of the late Walter F. and Caroline (Stem) Heid.
Walter is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beverly Heid; children, Sheryl (Jerry) Heid Lazar of Perryopolis and Bryan (Cindy) Heid of Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Anna and Joel Lazar; step-grandchildren, Holly (Dave) Croteau and Michael Scott; great-grandson, Alexander Croteau; nephews, Stephen and David Heid; nieces, Stacie Kennefick and Laura (Chip) Fohl; and great-niece, Olivia.

Sarah M. Blystone, 93, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Redstone Highlands, North Huntingdon. She was born July 7, 1927 in Turtle Creek, a daughter of the late Albert and Catherine (Urias) Lyons. Sarah was a circuit board operator for Switch & Signal Electronics and later retired from Femco. She enjoyed dancing and traveling with her husband, Bill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William H. Blystone; brothers, Melvin (Esther), Lauren (Emma), Lawrence (Dolores) Lyons; and sister, Myra (Paul) Weschitz.

She was a former member of the United Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, Irwin, where she taught Sunday School for 35 years.

Florence “Flo” Speidel, 90, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 6, 2020, 11 days after the passing of her beloved husband of nearly 70 years, Bill. Born Florence Kathryn Delo on November 12, 1929 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of Monroe M. Delo and Freda (Blend) Delo. Left to cherish her legacy is her sister, Ethel (Delo) Harris of Erie and her children Carol (James) Anderson of Mechanicsburg, William D. (Barbara) Speidel, III of Butler and David (Barbara) Speidel of South Fayette; 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was born April 24, 1948 in McKeesport, the son of the late Stanley Walter and Margaret Leona (Kachur) Czapor. He was a graduate of Slippery Rock College and retired from U.S. Steel, Clairton Works. He was an Army veteran and a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, (St. Jude the Apostle Church, Wilmerding). In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sons Daniel Anthony and David Anthony Czapor and a brother in law. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Patricia A.
