Kenneth A. Zirkle Sr., age 79, of Port Vue, died October 2, 2025, at his home. Born February 9, 1946, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Haskell and Mary Ann (Cosanella) Zirkle and husband of the late Marlene (Geary) Zirkle.

Kenneth was a dedicated Journeyman painter for UPMC, contributing his skills and craftsmanship. Outside of his work, he possessed a creative spirit, finding fulfillment in painting and drawing, activities that brought him great joy and allowed him to express his artistic talents. He also cherished tending to his home and lawn, ensuring his surroundings reflected the care he poured into them. A devoted member of St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, Kenneth found solace and community in his faith. His love for his family was a cornerstone of his existence. Kenneth treasured moments spent with children, sharing laughter, stories, and a sense of wonder that will be dearly remembered by all who knew him.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Kenneth Zirkle, Jr. of Erie, Kimberly (Vincent) Andognozzi of North Huntingdon, and Kristen (David) Fricke of Port Vue; grandchildren, Angel, Kristina, Alice, and Freya; sisters-in-law, Patricia Geary, and Alicia (Russell) Brown; and brother-in law, Allen (Barbara) Geary. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his brother Larry Zirkle.

Kenneth's life was one of dedication, creativity, and love, leaving a legacy that will be cherished by family and friends alike.

Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, October 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with prayers at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, October 10, at St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date in New St. Joseph's Cemetery.
