Derek worked as a machinist for Vista Metals and loved his two precious fur babies, CiCi the cat and Maggie the dog.  In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by a sister, Kaylee (Luis) Eveler of Louisiana, brother, Joshua P. She also had a passion for cooking and baking as well as camping and fishing. She loved spending time with children and especially her grandchildren.

Kenneth Wayne Holmes, 88, of Dravosburg, passed away at home Wednesday, August 29, 2018.  He was born December 20, 1929 in McKeesport to the late Jerry and Mary Cigrand Holmes.  Kenny was a loving husband to his late wife, Iva Beitler Holmes for 38 years.  He is survived by nieces and nephews.  Along with his parents and wife, Kenny was preceded in death by his faithful companion of many years, Betty Hollenbeck; sisters, Mattie Econovich, Emmie Holmes; and brothers, William, Charles, John, Jerry, and Harry Holmes. He served in the US Army during WWII and also served during the Korean War, he was a retired employee of US Steel National Tube in McKeesport, was a member of Dravosburg United Methodist Church,  was an avid hunter, loved driving cars and golfing, but most of all loved his family.  Kenny was honored and delighted to receive his “60 year” pin as a member of the Duquesne/McKeesport Lodge #731 of the Free and Accepted Masons.  Arrangements have been entrusted to I. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 4th Street, Dravosburg,  PA   15034.  As per Kenny’s wishes, there will be no visitation; however, a graveside service will be conducted at Donegal Cemetery on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 am. Brenda “Tiny” Marie Hood

Brenda Marie Hood, 68, of McKeesport was called home to meet her heavenly father while in the loving care of her sister-law, Denine Hood on Sunday August 19, 2018. She was born on January 4, 1950 in Braddock, PA to the late Willie James and Josephine Rogers Hood at Braddock Hospital.

Tiny accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 17 at her home church, Jerusalem Baptist Church of Duquesne, PA. She was an active member of the Pulpit Guild at Jerusalem and taught Sunday school to the young children there. She was a warrior for Christ and continued to march and praise for the glory of her God throughout the rest of her life.

She graduated from Duquesne High School in 1968. Tiny attended Berkeley School of Business which is now Bradford School of Business and graduated in 1970 with an Associate’s Degree in Business.

Tiny worked for Alcoa and retired after 20 years. Once retired, the Lord’s work for her had just begun. Tiny’s love and compassion for people was so pure that she proceeded to become a foster parent and caregiver for the elderly at Mon Yough Community Services. She was a foster mother for several agencies over the years including Kadie Services, Allegheny East, Children Youth Services, Circle C and Auberle. Tiny also was a Girl Scout leader in 1997, a volunteer at The Creative Convention (Woodland Hills School District), and worked for the post office in Giant Eagle of White Oak, PA for 9 years.

Joseph Thomas “Tom” Orzulak, 67, of Lawrence, Kansas, died Aug. 6, 2018, at his home.

He was born July 14, 1951 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of Frank “Frosty” and Helen (Donnelly) Orzulak. Raised in Port Vue, PA, he was a 1969 graduate of South Allegheny High School and in 1974 earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Arts at California State College in California, Pa. He taught metal shop at Plum High School for 5 years and was a supervisor for PennDOT, Lovedale District, for a number of years. He was a proud member of the Port Vue Volunteer Fire Company.

After a move to Lawrence, Kansas, in 1985, Tom was the director of parking services at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, before landing his dream job as Street Division Manager for the City of Lawrence for 23 years, retiring in 2013.

He married Patricia Smith on May 17, 1975 in Versailles, Pa. She survives at home.

(Polivka) Segina. Mr. Segina was a retired employee of the former U. S. Steel Corp., Duquesne Works, and the McKees Rocks Forging Company. He proudly served his country in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. Beloved husband of the late Gloria (Stout) Segina, he is survived by three sons, Gregory (Lisa) Segina, Michael (Kathy) Segina, and Jason (Heather) Segina, a brother, Joseph (Nancy) Segina; eight grandchildren, Katie Bisuti, Felicia Saket, Dillon Boggs, Emily Saxon, Connor Segina, Tyler Axon, Gunner Segina, and Ares Segina; and one great grandson, Braden Bisuti.

Delbert “Pav” Ivan Pavlick, 90, of Clairton, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.  He was born March 29, 1928 in Duquesne to the late Samuel and Mary Hollish Pavlick.  Delbert was a loving husband for 43 years to the late Edith A. Azzari Pavlick.  He is survived, and will be greatly missed, by his adoring daughters, Valerie Pavlick-Gnazzo of Clairton, Adrianne (Curtis) Pavlick-Miller also of Clairton, Michele (Claude) Sims of Port Vue; grandchildren, Zachary, Athena (Nathan), Jared, Xavier, Lennox (Garrett), Santeaun, Hunter; and brother, Samuel (Mabel) Pavlick of Florida; nieces and nephews.  Along with his parents and wife, Delbert was preceded in death by granddaughter, BreAnne; and sisters, Margaret Pearson & Ethel Pavlick. He was a proud veteran having served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Delbert was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Duquesne, was employed by the US postal service for 56 years, was an avid golfer, enjoyed softball, bowling, played football in the army while he was stationed in Japan, and was the basketball coach at St. Clare of Assisi for 37 years. In 2005, he won “PA’s Outstanding Older Worker” award which is a prestigious national award given to elder workers (only 1 per state) to acknowledge their years in the workforce. He was a proud and loving man who would help anybody at any time, especially his family.  Visitation will take place Friday August 10, 2018 from 3 – 9 pm at S. M. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, collecting antique furniture, and driving fast cars. He was a caring, outgoing, and energetic man who was loved by many and will be missed by all. Michael Lee Nuttall, 45, of McKeesport, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at home.

He was born in Jeannette and was the son of George R. and Patricia Ann Bodnar Nuttall of McKeesport. Michael worked as a carpet cleaner and maintenance for Mark of Excellence. He was a die-hard Steelers fan, who had a Steelers museum. He enjoyed working on and fixing cars in his spare time. He would do anything for anyone and never expected anything in return. Michael prided himself in being a provider and his family always came first.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 23 years, Beth Ann (Forsythe) Nuttall, two sons, Mike J. (Fiancée, Kayla) Nuttall, and Shane M. Nuttall, both of Sutersville, granddaughter, Annabella Nuttall, brother George Nuttall of McKeesport, sisters, Janet Nuttall of Monroeville and Helen Nuttall of North Versailles, father-in-law, Glen Forsythe of McKeesport, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his dogs, Jojo and Jade and the late Bruno.
