SueEllen Nangle, 72, of Elizabeth Township, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025. She was born on June 4, 1953, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late William and Doris Ann (Mital) Plavchak. She was a proud graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College. A lifelong educator at heart, SueEllen devoted many years to teaching home economics in the Elizabeth Forward School District. Her classroom was a place of patience, creativity, and encouragement, and she touched countless lives through her gentle guidance and genuine care for her students. SueEllen was a loving wife and aunt, a devoted friend, and the kind of neighbor everyone hopes to have. SueEllen was an avid bowler and was a member of The Lucky Strikes league at the former Brunswick Bowl in Rostraver. She was also a member of numerous other organizations and women's clubs. She was a familiar and beloved presence at Friday night football games, with her husband, Coach “Big Frank” Nangle, as they supported teams across Elizabeth Forward, Belle Vernon, Charleroi, and Ringgold. She was Frank’s greatest supporter, both in his coaching career and in his BBQ business. A gifted cook, crafter, and talented seamstress, SueEllen poured creativity into everything she touched. Whether stitching something by hand, preparing a favorite dish, or crafting a thoughtful gift, she expressed her love through her talents. Her warmth, generosity, and steady kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
SueEllen is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, Frank J. Nangle; her brother, Richard (Linda) Plavchak; brothers-in-law, Chuck (Lisa) Nangle, and Dominic and Albert DelGaicco; special nieces and nephews, Jacob, Ashley, Josh, Janie, Allison, Seth and Jahne; and her best friend, Carole Schiffman, along with Carole’s sons, Chad and Ross. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Danny Nangle. In accordance with SueEllen’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services at this time.
