John E. Lacock, Jr., also known as "Father Time" by those that knew him, age 70, of White Oak, died August 27, 2018, in the comfort of his brother's home. Born July 5, 1948, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late John E. and Mary "Jill" (Meininger) Lacock, Sr.

John was retired from the PA State Liquor Control Board, where he was a clerk in the Brentwood location. He served our country with the United States Marine Corps., during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the White Oak Rod and Gun Club and the Library Sportsman's Association. He enjoyed walking, bicycling, hunting, fishing and target shooting. John also enjoyed his music and watching a good movie. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. John is survived by his loving siblings, Margaret (Peggy) Bennett of Orange, CA and Todd Lacock of White Oak; nephew, James Bennett of Anaheim, CA; aunts, Irene Meininger of Elizabeth and Betty Lacock of Baltimore, MD; also many cousins and friends, especially Steve "Skeets" Levandosky of Finleyville and John Hernandez of White Oak. In addition to his parents, John was also preceded in death by his brother James "Red" Lacock. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, September 15, 2018, from 10 a..m. to 1 p.m., with a celebration of life memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the UPMC Family Hospice & Palliative Care Team, 200 Lothrop St., Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
