Barton Harvey "Bart" Caudill, 70, of McKeesport, died Monday, August 27, 2018. He was born August 18, 1948 in McKeesport and was the son of the late William Porterfield and Belva Frances Kauffman Caudill. Bart worked as a scheduler for Bechtel Bettis 40 plus years, and also owned and operated his own painting business, Bart's Quality Painting. He was a member of Park Baptist Church. He was a board member of The White Oak Athletic Association and went on to organize and coach basketball, softball and baseball. He ran the winter basketball program for 15 plus years, as well as officiated many high school basketball games in the area.

He was a founding member of The Romeo Club of McKeesport High School, where he worked tirelessly to raise dollars for the club's activity fund. He was also very instrumental of establishing the Best Man Scholarship of McKeesport Area School District. He co-founded the Chrissy Davis Softball Tournament in White Oak and was involved in naming the field after her at The White Oak Athletic Association. Through his painting business he painted numerous places and homes, most notably and proudly was the Cannon in McKeesport-Versailles Cemetery. In his spare time, Bart was an avid runner and enjoyed Ballroom Dancing. He also was an avid reader and movie goer, he liked to share his reviews of both books and movies. In his younger days he raised prized pigeons and won multiple awards and collected marbles. Bart was a humble and honest man who will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Marlu Ann (Bova) Caudill of McKeesport, daughter, Caroline Marie Caudill of Sewickley, sons, David Anthony Caudill of McKeesport and Michael Francis David (Linda Graham) Caudill of Amsterdam, six grandchildren, Michael, Alexis, Zachary and Sebastian Caudill and Amber and Melissa Bradley, brothers, Braxton (Lazann) Caudill of Sioux Falls, SD, Billy Caudill of Liberty Boro, sister, Christine Peters of Hereford, companion, Linda J. Ondrey of White Oak, nieces, Shiloh Jones and Shalaine Rostomily, nephews, Jason and Brian Caudill, cousins and many friends.

Friends are welcome Friday, August 31, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, director. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Gilbert Funeral Home on Saturday, September 1, at 10:00 am with The Rev. Dr. Rudy Mayak, officiating.
