John W. Bahr, age 83, of North Versailles, died August 2, 2018, at LGAR Hospital & Medical Center. Born August 15, 1934, in Carrick, PA, he was the son of the late Arthur and Anna (Stuffle) Bahr and the husband of Katherine (Oskin) Bahr.

John was a retired insurance salesman, with the Prudential Insurance Co. He was a member of the Linway United Presbyterian Church, in North Versailles, where he was a former Deacon. John was a US Army veteran, serving during peacetime. He enjoyed skiing and golfing in his early years and playing cards as of late. John's greatest joy was spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, John E. of Texas, Laurie J. of Somers Point, NJ, Julie of FL and Jennifer of FL; step-sons, David B. (Lynn) Forsythe of Bethel Park and Jeff S. (Sarah) Forsythe of White Oak; 9 grandchildren, great granddaughters, Taryn and Emma Wells; sister, Anna "Kiki" (William) McConnel of Fox Chapel; also nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by son, Michael E. Bahr; step-son, Richard Forsythe. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, August 5, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, 10 a.m., in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Jody Dausey will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to LGAR Hospital & Medical Center, 800 Elsie St., Turtle Creek, PA 15145.
