Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory

Obituaries | The Tube City Almanac | December 10, 2025

Shirley A. Maurin, age 94, of North Huntingdon, died December 9, 2025, at UPMC East. Born July 10, 1931, in White Oak, she was the daughter of the late William and Evelyn (Milligan) Little and the beloved wife of the late Woodrow Maurin.

Shirley was a devoted member of the Christian Missionary Alliance. She was not just a participant in her community; she was an integral part of it, touching the lives of many with her warmth and compassion. Shirley's passions were as diverse as her spirit. A creative soul, she found joy in crafts, crocheting, and knitting, often sharing her handmade treasures with loved ones. Her skilled, nimble hands brought comfort and beauty to those around her. She held a special place in her heart for the two beloved horses she had as a child. Many fond memories were created in her youth as she rode with exuberance, and she loved recounting the stories of those days even in her later years. She also enjoyed her quiet moments playing pogo games on her computer, smiling as she welcomed a little friendly competition into her life.  She is survived by a son, John (Milene) Maurin. She was also preceded in death by siblings William Little and Betty Stear.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The burial will be private. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com.
