Gloria M. (Tait) Cade, 92, of North Huntingdon, died Monday June 3, 2019. She was born May 11, 1927 in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Charles and Mathilda F. (Kasparek) Tait and was also preceded in death by her husband John E. Cade Jr., a brother Charles Tait, and a sister Mary Jane Dingfelder. She was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict serving as a nurse and attaining the rank of Captain. She was certified as a registered nurse and had worked at Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. Gloria was a longtime active member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Larimer, the Larimer VFD Auxiliary, and the McKeesport Nurses Alumni. She is survived by her children Dr. John E. “Jack” Cade III and his wife Samantha and Patricia L. Young and her husband Chip; her grandchildren Caitlin C. Young and Robert (Tracy) Futon; also nieces and nephews.

Ciquann Eldavon Dudley, Jr., 17, of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019, in McKeesport.

He was born August 2, 2001, in Pittsburgh, PA, son of Ciquann Dudley, Sr. and Ieesha Rajab; He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Brenda Dudley Murray.

He was a junior McKeesport Area High School and employed at Tillie’s Restaurant, McKeesport.  Ciquan enjoyed playing basketball and PlayStation 4.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Ieesha Rajab and father and step-mother, Ciquann (Dana) Dudley, Sr both of McKeesport; siblings, Trequann Dudley, Dazhia Clark, Dominique Clark, Damier Clark, Devine Clark all of McKeesport; grandparents, Franshawn  and Wayne Gordon of Daytona Beach, FL and Ivan Hale, Sr. of Philadelphia, PA, James McLean of McKeesport; great-grandparents, Edward, Sr. and Iris Dudley of McKeesport, Cheryl Phillips of Homewood, a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

James W. Thompson, 72, of Brentwood formerly of West Mifflin, died Friday May 31, 2019. He is the son of the late Adam and Catherine (McWilliams) Thompson. He is survived by his daughter Megan Thompson; brother A. Russell (Nancy) Thompson; nephews Sean (Kris) Thompson and Brian (Adrienne) Thompson; and 4 great-nephews Adam, Alexander, Maxwell, and Gavin. James was a member of the St. Andrew's Society of Pittsburgh. A memorial service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Park on Saturday June 29th at 11am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, and St. Jude's.

Robert Tracy Ziemke, age 93 of Versailles, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 5, 2019.  Born October 7, 1925 in Versailles, he was a son of the late Frank and Emma (Tracy) Ziemke.  A 1943 graduate of McKeesport High School, Robert was a World War II Veteran of the US Army, serving in D Company, 254th Infantry Regiment, 63rd Infantry Division "Blood and Fire."  Robert married the late Mary Lou (Feightner) Ziemke on January 15, 1947, and they stayed happily married for 57 years until her passing on February 15, 2004.  He worked for US Steel's National Tube Works from 1947 to 1960 and Equitable Gas from 1960 to 1991, joining their Equitable Gas Retirees' Club.

David Hubert Scott, age 67, of North Versailles, died Monday, June 3, 2019.  He was born in McKeesport on July 8, 1951 and is the son of the late Hubert W. and Dorothy Emma Prezel Scott.  He served in the Marines during the Vietnam war.  He was a chef at Robert Morris University and at Parkhurst Dining in Pittsburgh.

He is survived by his wife, Holly McFarland Scott of McKeesport; sisters, Dorothy “Dolly” (Rich) Loughner of Greensburg, Pat (Bill) Rugh of N. Versailles, Evelyn (George) Velardo of Versailles, Janet Kostic of Madison; also beloved nieces and nephews. 

Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131, Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, (412 678 6177) on Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 3:00 until 8:00 pm.  Services will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Noon in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Kirk Albrecht officiating.  Burial will follow. Kathleen (Rhodes) Rost, age 94 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away at home on Tuesday, June 4, 2019.  Born June 25, 1924 in Kittanning, she was a daughter of the late George and Carolyn (Flaherty) Rhodes.  A graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Kathleen also worked as a secretary for Rost Electric, her family's business.  She was a devout member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Twp. and kept her faith strong.  In her spare time, Kathleen loved to play bridge and golf with her Y.C.C. Women's Golf League.  She enjoyed travelling with her friends from N.E.C.A. and loved her family vacations to Stone Harbor, NJ and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, FL.  Most importantly, she was a loving and devoted wife to William F. Rost, who passed away August 14, 1992.

Michael J. Uhren, 92, of West Mifflin passed away into the arms of the Lord our God on May 31, 2018. Mike was born October 18, 1926 in Duquesne, PA to George and Elisabeth Uhren.

Mike served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater during World War II. When he came home he was a mill worker, house builder and butcher before becoming a mailman, which he did for over 40 years. More importantly, when he came home, he went to Kennywood one day and freeloaded some French Fries from a gorgeous woman from Homestead named Helen Bakota. They would spend the next 70 years virtually inseparable. Mike is survived by his wife Helen (Bakota) of West Mifflin, son Greg Uhrlen (Kara) of South Fayette and granddaughters Kayla and Juliana Uhrlen of South Fayette. Mike was fearless and absolutely adored his granddaughters Kayla and Juliana. They were his pride and joy!
