Richard Charles Miller, Sr., age 85, of Port Vue, died November 11, 2019, at home. Born November 22, 1933, in Frank, PA, he was the son of the late Robert and Eleanor "Alberta" (Brown) Miller and the husband of Donna L. (Bortak) Miller.
Richard was a retired truck driver. He drove for Westinghouse until they closed and then drove for St. Johnsbury Trucking until retirement. Soon after retiring, Richard began working at the New Colony Mobile Home Park and 51 Estates, in the maintenance department for over 12 years. He was a US Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. Richard was a member of St. Mark Parish of Port Vue. He was also a member of the 11th Ward Club, Croation Club Lodge #146, and the Frank Gun Club. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He loved his loyal dogs, Maxwell "Bubba" and Lizzy.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents Glenn & Bernadette Stinebaugh, Henry & Mary Long, and Godmother Barbara Long. Michael had many jobs, including Central Pizza, the Boston Diner, Cavanagh’s Restaurant, Walmart. Michael especially enjoyed driving for Black Eagle Company and S & S Transportation. Michael was also a Captain of the Boston Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Sons of American Legion Post 701 White Oak.

M. Dennis Legin, 76, of Duquesne, died peacefully at home on Thursday, November 7, 2019. Born in Braddock, October 5, 1943, he was the son of the Late John and Claire (Rodavich) Legin. Mr. Legin was a member of Christ, The Light of the World Parish, Duquesne; a retired Police Officer, with forty years of service to the City of Duquesne, and a Life Member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 91. Beloved husband of the Late Karen Surgent Legin, he is survived by two loving sons, Matthew J. Legin and John R. (Lori) Legin; a brother, Mark Legin, two sisters, Janine (Charles) Millirons and Rosemary (Al) Waldron, four grandchildren, Alexander Legin, Nathan Legin, Abigail Legin, and Nathan Stevens, and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sister Liguori Rossner 78, on November 7, 2019. Born Patricia Rossner on July 31, 1941 in Duquesne, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Genevieve (Pustelny) Rossner Sr. She attended St. Joseph Elementary School in Duquesne, Divine Redeemer Academy in Elizabeth and Duquesne University where she received a B.S. Ed. She later attended Carnegie Mellon University and received an M.A. in History. She entered the Community of the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer in 1959 and served as a teacher in several Pittsburgh area schools including St. Raphael Elementary, St. Bartholomew Elementary, Divine Redeemer Academy and Bishop Boyle High School. In 1979 she joined the order of the Sisters for Christian Community and that year became co-founder of the Jubilee Soup Kitchen, eventually becoming the Executive Director of the Jubilee Association, Inc. She was instrumental in expanding the work of Jubilee from a soup kitchen to a multi-service community center including a food pantry, employment and placement service, wellness center, health outreach and the John Heinz Family Center. Sister Liguori received several awards for her service including the Cardinal Wright Award from the Bishop’s Latin School in 2018, the Courageous Woman Award from Mom’s House in 2000, Caritas Award from Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Pittsburgh in 1993, the Catholic Youth Award from the Pittsburgh Catholic Youth Association in 1990, the “True Pittsburgher” award from Pittsburgh Magazine in 1986 and was inducted into the Century Club of Distinguished Duquesne Alumni in 1994. She also served as president of the Diocesan Sisters Council in the 1970’s.

Mary Jane Serra, age 84 of North Huntingdon and Greensburg died November 6, 2019 at Grandview Estates of Elizabeth. She was born July 22, 1935 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Jesse and Vanda Falkosky Deemer. Mary Jane enjoyed crafts, painting, arts, cruises and travel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Serra. She is survived by four daughters Adale Flores (Mike), Jessica Nigra (Paul), Natalie Smith, Charise Hess (Rob), one sister Donna Grifana (Phillip), 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. Clara B. Palumbo, 86 of Liberty Boro, died Nov. 7, 2019. She is the daughter of the late William and Blanche Borkowski and beloved wife of the late John Palumbo.
She is survived by her sister Genevieve Borkowksi; brother Edward Borkowski and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Benjamin, John and Joseph Borkowski and sisters Cecilia Borkowski, Laura Mihalovich and Gertrude Wojton.
Clara was a retired secretary for US Steel National Tube and was a member of Queen of the Rosary Parish.

Albert was a member of St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirate fan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, self employed as a Cryogenics Engineer and a graduate of Norwin Class of 1970. He is survived by his wife Beth Andolina Papula, two sons , Andrew (Jenna), Keith (Deanna) and one daughter Taylor Papula, brother, Gene (Christa) Papula, sister Marianne Papula, 4 grandchildren, Kane, Kora, Sylas and Jackson.
