Elaine (Mimi) Valecko, age 89, of Port Vue, died November 17, 2019. She was born on October 18, 1930, in Uniontown, PA. She was the daughter of the late John and Mollie (Marva) Putanko. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter P. Valecko and her brother, John R. Putanko.
Elaine graduated from South Union High School in Uniontown. Elaine was a member of St. Mark Parish, where she retired after serving over 30 years as housekeeper.

Robert D. Bailey, age 74, of McKeesport, formerly from the state of California, died Sunday, November 17, 2019. He was born in Ontario, Oregon on March 15, 1945 and is the son of the late Leon Odell and Reta Mae Johnson Bailey. He served in the US Airforce and was a retired building state Inspector for education in the State of California.

Theresa DeMarino, age 95 of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, entered Heaven’s gates on Saturday, November 9, 2019. She was born in McKeesport on April 4, 1924 to the late Frank and Nancy (Veltri) Elia. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker, Theresa also worked at McKeesport Hospital. She had been living with her daughters, spending her time between Orlando, Florida and Winder, Georgia. She really loved spending time with all of her family and gave us all many wonderful memories. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Nicholas DeMarino and two sisters, Angelina Cherpak and Rose Vito.

Dale S. Welsch, 65 of Duquesne died unexpectantly at home on Sunday, November 17, 2019. Born in McKeesport on September 3, 1954, he was the son of Braun and Betty (Tietze) Welsch. Mr. Welsch was a self-employed contractor and the Proprietor of Welsch's Exterior Cleaning and Home Renovation Company. Beloved husband of Roberta (Yerecic) Welsch.
He is also survived by a loving daughter Kristen (Scott) Parnell, a sister Roxanne Anson, a grandson, Tyler Parnell and a great niece, Emma Yerecic. Also survived by his best four-legged pet dogs Hailey and Polly and granddog Daisy. He also was preceded in death by a loving nephew Matthew Yerecic.

Larry R. “Brownie” Brown, 89, of Dravosburg, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, November 14th, 2019. He was born in McKeesport Hospital on June 1st, 1930 to the late Martin and Mary Marie Kent Brown. Larry is survived by his son, Roy E. (Diana) Brown, of Palm Coast, FL, sister, Inez Schroeder, of Monongahela, grandchildren, Jennifer (Anthony) Brown-Keane, of Holyoke, Massachusetts, great-grandchildren, Saoirse and Eamonn, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister, Jean Pulley, and brother, Jack Brown. Larry proudly served his country as a member of the Army National Guard, and served as a cook while stationed in post-WWII Germany in Berchtesgaden. He was a member of the American Legion, and the First Christian Church, in Dravosburg. Larry was formerly employed as an engineer for the Union Rail Road for 35 years, as well as U.S. Steel. He enjoyed gardening, and also loved to travel. Arrangements have been entrusted to I.M FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 4th St, Dravosburg, PA 15034. Angelo Guiseppe "Shoes" Schinosi passed peacefully at the Southwestern Veterans Center, on Monday, November 18, at age 88, of Glassport. Husband of Arlene (Shuster) Schinosi, father of Joe (Odile) Schinosi and Jodi (Jerry) Tyskiewicz. Grandfather to Kayla, Jake, Madeleine, Noelle, and Jean Luc. As well as an adoring uncle to many loving nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law to Donna Titus, Dee Schinosi, and Hank Bonadio. Preceded in death by his parents Luigi & Angelica (Pezzano) Schinosi, his brother Louis Schinosi, sisters Louise (Corky) Tacik, Viola (Robert) Lusa, and Josephine (Tony) Rondinelli. Angelo was a United States Marine and combat Korean War Veteran. Retired from the Copperweld Corp. and Allegheny County. During his time at the Copperweld he served as a union steward and president of his local union. He also served the Glassport community as a councilman. Angelo was an usher at St. Cecilia, a member of the Sons of Italy, and the American Legion. He will be remembered most by his love, kindness and generosity to family, friends, acquaintances, and animals. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the entire staff at the Southwestern Veterans Center for the past years. Mass of Christian Burial will be at the Queen of the Rosary on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11am. A celebration of his life will follow at the Sons of Italy, Glassport.

Alan W. “Skip” Hornbake Jr., 69, of North Huntingdon died Sunday November 17, 2019 at his home. He was born May 2, 1950, in Charleroi a son of the late Alan W. Sr. and Vi (Rice) Hornbake. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a senior field inspector for Bechtel Betis of West Mifflin. He was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, in North Huntingdon. Veteran of the Marine Corp serving during Vietnam War where he served as a “Tunnel Rat” with the First Battalion Hotel Company 226. He was a member of the Marine Corps Veterans Association and it’s Honor Guard; also a member of the White Oak VFW. Skip was an avid Penn State fan. He was a true American Patriot with a fondness for History. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Maryann Peterson. Surviving are his wife of 36 years Teresa (Garner) Hornbake; three sons Brian Smith, of San Diego, CA, Thomas Gauthier and his wife, Susan, of Gibson, Corey Hornbake and his wife Jansen, of Layfayette Hill: six grandchildren Kasie Hickman, Daniel and William Gauthier, Dillon Smith, Brantley and Jaxton Hornbake; a niece Tracie Powell and a cousin Judie White and her family. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Ott funeral Home Inc. 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin. Parting prayers will be held 9:00 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Interment will follow in the Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon.
