Jean Greaves, age 89, of Point Pleasant Retirement Community, formerly of White Oak, died, Saturday, July 20, 2019. She is the daughter of the late Robert Ellsworth and Olive Sigler Shallenberger and was born in McKeesport, PA on Feb. 10, 1930. She is the wife of the late Robert E. “Bob” Greaves who died Jan. 13, 2013.

Jean was the secretary for the former Mayor of McKeesport, Jack Pribanic, and was also a legal secretary for various attorneys and judges in the Mon Valley. She was a former Deacon for Central Presbyterian Church, and a current member of Sampson’s Mills Presbyterian Church. She was formerly a member of the McKeesport Hospital Junior Women’s Committee and a former member of the Board of Directors of the McKeesport Hospital Foundation. She loved the holidays, playing bingo and cards, cruising, and having fun with family and friends.

Jean is survived by her daughters; Sandy (Dennis) Liberatore of Worcester, Mass, Debbie (Mark) Sherer of Penn Twp., Donna (Craig) Curran of Pittsford, NY and Bobbi (Tim) Dunn of White Oak, grandchildren; Dennis (Lynne) Liberatore, Melissa (Mike) Butler, Ryan (Rachel) Mitchell, Ashley (Ryan) Quinton, Natalie (Thomas Pohmer) Curran, Christopher Curran and Brandon Dunn, great grandchildren; Ethan and Ben Butler and Sarah and Danielle Liberatore, Abigail and Olivia Mitchell and Corbin Quinton.

Richard Rates, 77, of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019 at UPMC East.  He was born, June 19, 1942 in Herbert, Pa., a son of the late John and Mary (Kasun) Rates.  Prior to his retirement, Richard was an autoworker for General Motors.  He was a member of St. Agnes Parish, Italian Brotherhood of Guffey, social member of Hahntown Fire Dept., Hartford Heights Fire Dept., Larimer Fire Dept and Lowber Fire Dept.  He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jayne Panesky Rates; and brother, Ronald Rates.  He is survived by his sons, Todd Rates and his wife, Kimberly, Donald Rates and his wife, Dawn; daughter, Susan Cable; sister, Micheline Vargo; and six grandchildren.  Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the James W. She was preceded in death by parents, Barbara and George Bonnet.  She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jack “Kep” Causer; sisters, Ann (Tim) Ginnevan of N. Huntingdon, Carol (Jayme) Burgman of White Oak; brother-in-law, Bob (Diane) Causer of Frederick, Maryland; 2 nieces, 3 nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews.

After graduation from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, Jean married her high school sweetheart. The couple moved to Maryland where Jean was a government contracts administrator and lovingly cared for many precious pets over the years.

He was born in Mckeesport on May 10th, 1960 to the late Barbara A Csorbaand Walter Everett McGee Jr.Wally is survived by his two sisters; Karen (Regis) Bryer, of Huntersville, NC, and Kimberly (Ken) Zera,of Orange, Va. Heis also survived by his Aunt Betty O’Shell of Pittsburgh and Aunt Janet (Tom) Brady of Boston, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friendsWally was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Andrew Walter McGee. He will be remembered as a "plumber, welder, landscaper, and a jack of all trades", and a man with a heart of gold. Wally’s kind soul will be missed by so many. He had a smilethat made the worst days better, eagerness to help his friends and family, and stories that you couldn’t wait to hear.Wally was always “busy doing nothing” or he“had nowhere to be ASAP”. Dale William Mays, 66, of White Oak, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, July 18, 2019.  He was born August 13, 1952 in McKeesport, loving son of William and Elaine (Ohs)  Mays.  Prior to his retirement, Dale was a brakeman for Union Railroad and a graduate of Norwin Senior High School Class of 1970.  He was an avid reader and loved art and music.  He is survived by his sister, Renee Martz and her husband, Bob; nephew, Brett Martz and his wife Addie, and their children, Emma and Mats; niece, Heather Johnson and her husband, Mike and their son, Baylor.  There will be no visitation.  A private family memorial will be held at a later date.  Arrangements made by the James W. Brian Lawrence Hetrick

Brian Lawrence Hetrick, 21, of North Huntingdon died at home on July 16, 2019. He was born February 28, 1998 in Greensburg, the loving son of Warren Hetrick and Marina Venturelli. In 2002, Brian became the older brother to his surviving sibling, Alex Hetrick. Brian was a 2016 graduate of Norwin High School. He was about to begin his Senior year at University of Pittsburgh, Greensburg, where he was a Dean’s List student after transferring from WCCC in 2018. He also worked at Kohl’s, North Huntingdon for the past few years.
 
Brian was a good kid. He didn’t do drugs, never got into trouble, and hardly drank. He went to pre-school at Calvary Preschool Center, attended first grade at West Hempfield Elementary before transferring to Sunset Valley Elementary, and continued his high school career at Norwin School District. He received First Communion and Confirmation at St. Agnes Church.
 
He played soccer for many years at the Norwin Soccer Club, playing for coach Seth’s Travel Team, and later for the 9th Grade High School Team. He went on to play for WCCC his freshman year in college. He also participated in martial arts, T-ball, baseball, basketball and track growing up. Brian spoke Italian, and he loved travelling to Italy to visit his Nonni, and especially adored being with his two young cousins there, who took to him so much. He also enjoyed beach vacations growing up, and being with his good friends Marc, Cayden, Cam, Kevin, and many other special friends from all parts of his life.

Rick was a member of Walnut Grove Assembly of God where he was a former Elder, member of the Men’s Ministry, volunteered with the food bank and coached flag football for the school, U S Army Vietnam veteran serving with the 199th Infantry and a retired letter carrier for the U S Postal Service.

Margaret Campoli, age 94 of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at St. John's Specialty Care Center.  She was a Key Punch Operator for Blue Cross/Blue Sheild in Pittsburgh.  Born June 26, 1925 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Carmine of and Maria (Zuppa) DeFlavis.  Margaret joins her husband, the late William Campoli, who died December 16, 2010.  She is survived by her sons William J. (Melanie Dortschy) Campoli and Larry (Dara) Campoli; her grandchildren Chase, Danielle, Max & Jake Campoli.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Robert Campoli and her siblings Joseph Deflavis and Elizabeth Mussori.
