Rosemarie (Intrieri) Ali, formerly a long-time resident of Glassport, age 87, died peacefully at Concordia in Monroeville on Monday, May 12, 2025. Rosemarie was the wife of the late John Ali for 46 years.

She was the loving and devoted mother of JoAnn (Patrick) Niehl of Penn Twp., Lawrence (Vicki) Ali of Greensburg and Linda (Jerry) Morle of TX.

Rosemarie was the proud grandmother of Kayla Marie (fiancé, Garrett Cockeram) Ali, Lucas (Alexia) Ali, Logan (fiancé, Olivia Mansier) Ali, Michelle (Andy) Kulaszewski and Amber (James) Shelton.

Nancy E. Rustic, age 78, formerly of North Huntingdon, now residing in Pittsburgh died May 11, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. She was born December 28, 1946, in Kennedy Township, a daughter of the late Harold and Gloria Schibner Englert. Prior to her retirement, Nancy was employed as an early childhood educator. She loved reading, traveling, farmer's markets, music and attending cultural events with her friends. She was a long time employee of Westmoreland County Community College. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Rustic in 2008 and an infant son William Anthony. She is survived by her daughter Amy Rustic (partner Daniel Hock) and a sister, Susan Baker (husband Gerald deceased). There will be no visitation. JAMES W. Sherma Feldman Fiedler

Sherma Feldman Fiedler, age 98, passed away peacefully at her home in Lake Worth, FL, on May 5, 2025. Sherma was born in Pittsburgh on January 28, 1927, to Maurice and Lillian Feldman. She graduated from Taylor-Alderdice High School, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. In her youth, Sherma studied dance with Gene Kelly, who went on to be a film star. At Pitt, she met Morton I. Fiedler, who had just returned from his tour of duty as the commander and pilot of a B-17 in the Eighth Air Force, based in England. The two married on Sherma’s 21st birthday. They moved to White Oak, where they raised their family. 
 They were members of Temple B’Nai Israel, and Sherma was active in the temple sisterhood and sang in the adult choir under the direction of Cantor Gold. They were also members of Baldoc Hills Country Club. In the 1970s, the Fiedlers moved to Chicago, and Sherma enjoyed working as an official during election years. When the couple retired to Lake Worth, FL, Sherma was a regular duplicate bridge player, and took up tennis with her friends in their community. She is pre-deceased by her husband of 70 years, and her sister Elaine Friedlander. Survivors include her children Nancy Fiedler Millman (Jeff) of Cave Creek, AZ, and David Fiedler (Becky), Barrington, IL. She is also survived by her granddaughters Amy Fiedler, M.D., San Francisco, and Morgan Delack (Nathan) of Barrington, IL, and two great grandchildren, Hannah and Caleb Delack. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her devoted caregivers Francine Fenelon and Marie Mode Coulanges.

Joseph William “Bill” Smart, 79, of Elizabeth Township, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 2, 2025, at his home in Naples, FL. Born on February 12, 1946, in Elizabeth to the late Charles Ritchie and Mildred (Gephart) Smart, Bill lived a life defined by devotion — to family, country, community, and faith. Bill dedicated much of his career to General Motors as a skilled Machine and Vibration Analyst, where his sharp mind and steady hands earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike. A proud U.S. Navy Veteran, he carried his sense of duty and service into every chapter of his life. A man of deep faith and generosity, Bill was a devoted member of Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, where he served not only as a elder but also as a joyful presence in the choir, a tireless volunteer, and a beloved cook at countless church gatherings. His love for music was a lifelong passion, bringing him great joy as he sang with the Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church Choir, the Vanderbilt Presbyterian Church Choir in Naples, FL, and the Everglades Barbershop Quartet. His rich tenor voice lifted spirits and built community wherever he went. A lifelong learner and nature enthusiast, Bill was an avid reader and an expert on birds, able to identify their calls with ease. On the golf course, his competitive spirit was matched only by his love for the camaraderie of the game.

Timothy "Ace" Paul Lawrence, of McKeesport, passed away on May 6, 2025, his 63rd birthday. He was born on May 6, 1962 and was the son of the late Andrew and Dorothy (Frinsco) Lawrence. He worked for Aramark in Beverage Sales at the Pittsburgh Stadiums which he enjoyed. He also enjoyed attending the McKeesport Community Day events, he loved music and playing his guitar. He will be missed by his sister, Dorothy "Sunny" Popp of McKeesport and nephew Kelly "Kip" Kaylor of White Oak. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Lawrence. There is no visitation. Inurnment will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 11 AM at McKeesport-Versailles Cemetery. Charles “Willie” Valvo, age 90 of Clairton, PA, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 in Allegheny General Hospital of Pittsburgh. Born June 16, 1934 in Fredonia, NY, he was the son of the late Angelo and Anna (Gambino) Valvo. Willie was a US Army Veteran, served in the Korean War and was the recipient of a Purple Heart. He was a retired operator for the Clairton Municipal Authority, member of the American Legion, Daniel Keffer Post #75, and devout member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton. Willie is survived by his wife of 61 years Marlene J. (Lepri) Valvo, his children Ralph A. (Kelly) Valvo and Maryann (fiance Ed Opst) Cross. He also leaves behind his loving grandchildren Adam, Logan, and Morgan Valvo and Josh and Kirstie (A.J.) Corsan; his great grandchild Leo Corsan, his sister-in-law Beverly Mazza of Clairton and many nieces and nephews. Jeffrey Mayersky, 56, of Elizabeth Township passed away Friday, May 9, 2025. He was born and raised in McKeesport on December 28, 1968. Jeff was a CDL Truck Driver for Dura-Bond and for Tube City for many years and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time. In addition to his mother, Jeff is also survived by his son, Jonathan Mayersky of Elizabeth Township; his mom, Barbara Mayersky; cousin, Jason Batchelor; his former wife, Jennifer Argyle; as well as many lifelong friends. Michael A. Lovas I, age 87, of West Mifflin, and formerly of Elizabeth, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Southwestern Nursing Center. He was a retired deckhand for both Ohio and Ingram Barge Lines, a US Navy veteran, and a member of the Elizabeth Fire Hall. Born June 13, 1937, in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Andrew and Veronica (Pocsik) Lovas and husband of the late Phylis Dorothy (Hoy) Lovas. He is survived by daughters, Amy May of Apollo and Tammy (Tom) Conroy of North Huntingdon; son, Michael Lovas II of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Jeramey (Zoie) Derkas and Calvin Conroy; great-granddaughter, Vyvian Renee; also, nieces and nephews. Arleen Brough, age 85 of North Huntingdon died May 10, 2025. She was born August 11, 1939, in East McKeesport, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Auld Perkosky. Prior to her retirement Arleen was employed by Air Tek as a secretary. She was a member of the Irwin Moose, Jacktown Ride and Hunt Club, enjoyed crafting and decorating. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David W. Brough in 2008 and one brother, Dennis Perkosky.  She was the beloved mother to three sons, David Brough (Terri), Ken Brough (Kim) and Tim Brough (Leslie) and one daughter, Jill Farah (Greg), one sister, Betty Ann McGraw, grandchildren Mason, Chad (Bethany), Derek, Clay (Alyssa), Trevor (Kayla), Nolan, Mitchell, Conor, and Ellis, great grandchildren Brynlee, Teagan, Ellie and Jameson. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Friends will be received at the JAMES W. John Paul "Johnny" Haus, age 85 of Hahntown, North Huntingdon died May 9, 2025, at his home. He was born May 6, 1940, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late John L. and Margaret Hartman Haus. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a truck driver by Consolidated Freight Way. After he retired, Johnny did house painting and electrical work. He was a member of the Italian Miners Society Club, the Wendell club, enjoyed NASCAR, gardening and loved his friends from Hahntown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother James Haus and a sister, Sue Ann Truitt. He is survived by one son, Tommy Haus and his wife LaDonne, two daughters Tracey Ray (Rodney), Laurie Plummer, his twin sister, Margaret (Sissy) Wachter and two additional sisters, Janis Gallagher and Linda Rupert (Ken), grandchildren Jacob Ray, Tommy and Steven Haus, Emily Haus-McCarthy, Allison Plummer, Ethan Plummer, great grandchildren, Austin, Caleb, Finnley, Eleanor, Victoria and Zeke. Sarah Jane Diecks Aubrey, 97, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025. She was born March 14,1928 in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania and spent most of her life in the Greater Pittsburgh area. She married Alfred Aubrey on February

14, 1949. Together, they built a life and a family over the course of their 65 years of marriage before his death in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Gertrude Diecks; her siblings Ernest, Don, and LaRue; and her son-in-law, Robby King. Sarah is survived by her brother, Russell; three sons: Allan (Ruth), Rob (Theresa), and Rich (Sheri); four daughters: Jan Westfall (Marv), Nancy Miller (Carl), Laurie Steiner (Randy), and Christy King; 21 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Throughout her years, she was an active member in numerous Christian Churches, serving as a teacher, choir director, and minister’s wife. She was frequently involved in Vacation Bible School, church camp, and other

ministries of the church. She loved to bake and specialized in apple pies and cookies. She was also an excellent seamstress. The family will be gathering for a private celebration of her life, and interment will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Marie Elizabeth Moffat, aged 74, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on May 7, 2025, in McKeesport, PA, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on July 19, 1950, in McKeesport, she was a beacon of light and an embodiment of love throughout her life.  Marie was the cherished wife of Dennis H. Moffat, with whom she shared 54 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and many memories. She was a devoted mother to her three children, Dennis C. James A. "Grumpy" Neher, age 89, of McKeesport, died May 7, 2025, at Kane Community Living Center in McKeesport. Born November 12, 1935, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late William Neher and Helen (Zolczar) Neher Oleska and husband of the late Adele (Behary) Neher.  James was a proud veteran of the United States Army, enlisting on November 15, 1954, and serving until his honorable discharge on September 26, 1958, where he achieved the rank of Specialist 4 (E-4). His service to his country was not just a chapter in his life, but a testament to his dedication to the values of duty and honor.  After his time in the Army, James had a successful career for over 50 years as a truck driver, ending his career with Great American Truck Lines, where he navigated the open roads with the same spirit of adventure and commitment that defined his life. As a lifelong resident of the McKeesport area, he was a familiar face to many, always ready to share a story.  James was a member of the Free Hungarian Reformed Church in McKeesport, where he found a deep sense of belonging and community.

Kevin J. Gogoel, age 69, of Blaine Hill, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025, at Jefferson Hospital. He was a veteran of the Air Force, where he retired as a vehicle operations craftsman. He was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Twp. He was a former bus driver for 17 years at First Student Transportation for special needs children and a lifetime member of Blaine Hill Volunteer Fire Company. He loved attending NHRA races with his good buddy Rick. He was a jokester and had the gift of gab. Whether he was standing in the grocery line or at the bank he would stir up a conversation with anyone. Sometimes those strangers found themselves still in conversation 30 minutes later wondering why they answered him in the first place. He loved sports so much and in his younger years he played deck hockey behind the firehall. Most of the neighborhood could hear him broadcasting the game and that is where he got the nickname Myron. Born September 10, 1955, in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Stephen A. and Dorothy R. (Hamadock) Gogoel. He is survived by his sisters, Paula (Bob) Papakie of Hertford, NC, Vicki (Paul) Vespi of Blaine Hill, Terri (Terry) Rodino of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ and Jackie (Joe) Formica of South Park; brothers, Stephen Gogoel of Blaine Hill and David (Colleen) Gogoel of White Oak; also, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 9 AM until 12 Noon.
