Thomas P. Dunmire, age 79 of North Huntingdon died February 21, 2024, at Transitions, North Huntingdon. He was born November 16, 1944, a son of the late Harry W. and Jean Barrett Dunmire. He was a graduate of Westinghouse Memorial High School. Serving as both secretary and treasurer of the Larimer VFD Social Club, Tom enjoyed spending time with his friends and socializing. Prior to his retirement, Tom was employed by WABTEC in the shipping department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Taber. He is survived by one brother, Larry Dunmire; a sister, Rose Dworek; and three nephews Ron Taber (Vickey) and their son Shannon (Claudia), and their children Milo and Rachael (Nick) Carter, and their children Delaney and Lydia, Daniel Taber, and Bobby Taber (Mona) and their children Jessie and Bobby.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Larimer Volunteer Fire Department.  Visitation will be Sunday 1-4 PM with a service at 4PM at James W. She was born February 3, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Domenick Greco and Eugenia Dell of Sewickley PA. Gloria was preceded in death by her late husband, Walter Heisler and brother Henry Greco. Gloria worked for McKeesport Hospital in the dietary department as a cook for 11 years. Her passions include cooking, playing her guitar and spending quality time with her family. She was a devoted Christian and a member of The Church in Sutersville, PA.

Eugene A. “Geno” “Fonzy” Hamar, age 60, of West Mifflin, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, at home, in the presence of his family. Born in McKeesport on July 30, 1963, he was the son of the late Robert J. “Chip” and Sheila H. (Holahan) Hamar. He was a custodian for the University of Pittsburgh, a former altar server at Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church-Duquesne and enjoyed watching TV and sitting on his back porch.

Eugene is the beloved husband of 21 years to Deloris “Dee” (Cutshall) Hamar. He is survived by his beloved dog and faithful companion, “Cupcake.” He is the brother of Maureen (Dr. Thomas) Reilly of Morrisville, NC, Roberta (Don) Baker of Dormont, Sandy Hamar of Brentwood, James Hamar of West Mifflin, Judy Hamar of West Mifflin, John (Becky) Hamar of Brentwood, Joseph (Sherri) Hamar of West Mifflin, Jeffrey (Laurie) Hamar of Brackney, PA, Sheila (Chris) Radovic of West Mifflin, Patty (Earl) Andersen of Seattle, WA and Karen (Robert “Skip”) Williams of West Mifflin; brother-in-law, Michael (Jen) Cutshall of Clairton; and many nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, puzzles, playing solitaire, listening to music, and spending time with her granddog Memphis. Val was employed by Accessibilities as a caregiver for her brother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew Jeremy Radziwon. She is survived by her daughter Brittany Miller (Brad); beloved sister Vickie Radziwon (Butch); brother Billy Ressler; nephew, Tony and (April), great nieces and nephews, Anthony, Aubrea, and Lexi; and former husband and friend Bruce. Robert Arthur Boot, age 81, of North Huntington, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on February 16, 2024. Born April 20, 1942, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Arthur "Dink" and Martha (Campbell) Boot and the husband of Joan (Kohl) Boot for 57 years.
He worked at Westinghouse for 18 years and Meco/Whemco as an electrician until he retired. Bob was a graduate of McKeesport High School.
He served in the US Navy for four years on the Destroyers USS Forrest B Royal & USS Arcadia as a Maintenance Foreman and Damage controller during the Vietnam War.
He was also a Volunteer fireman for the Hartford Heights Fire Company.
Bob and his wife Joan were always together, riding their trike, traveling the country in their RV, vacationing to see family, or visiting New England.

Deborah L. Hreha, age 71, of White Oak, died on February 17, 2024, at UPMC East Hospital. Born February 3, 1953, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Wray) Cooper and the wife of Duane Hreha.  Deborah's journey began at Mon Yough Catholic Girls School, where she nurtured her love for learning and graduated in 1971. She furthered her education at Penn State University, graduating in 1975, where she met her soulmate, Duane Hreha, who would become her devoted husband.  After Penn State, Deborah went on to Carnegie Mellon University where she earned her Master of Science in Chemical Engineering. As an Analytical Chemist for the Department of Energy, Deborah displayed exceptional skill and passion for her work, earning the respect of her colleagues.  A woman of many talents and interests, Deborah was an active member of various organizations, including the Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemists and Applied Spectroscopy, the Society of Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh, Mary, Mother of God Parish, and the Christian Mothers. She also cherished moments spent honing her creativity through cake decorating, crocheting, and crafting, bringing joy to her family and friends with her handmade creations.  Throughout her life, Deborah found joy in simple pleasures, from trips to Kennywood, Idlewood, and Rehoboth Beach to sharing special moments with grandchildren. Her dedication to her family, community, and passions will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Kenneth McCusker, age 67 of North Huntingdon, passed away on February 18th, 2024 at his home.  He was born on September 24, 1956 in McKeesport, a son of the late Joseph E. McCusker and Dolores Kaminski McCusker. Ken was a graduate of McKeesport High School, Class of 1974, and was a Social Member of the American Legion Post 701 in White Oak. Prior to his retirement, Ken was an electrician at US Steel Clairton Works. He enjoyed fishing, loved a good laugh, and was always the life of the party. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Laura Whitehead McCusker, daughters Brianne McCusker, Kyra Kelly (Dan), brothers Robert McCusker (Mary), Wayne McCusker (Teresa), sisters Georgene Bingman (Robert), Carol McCusker, Donna Diak (Jeff), and his beloved grandchildren Royce Jackson, Piper Kelly, and Danny Kelly. He is also survived by his constant companion Hawkeye. Friends will be received at the Sampson Mills Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 24 from 3-4 PM followed by a service at 4 PM. Linda J. Nana” Carden, age 75, of North Huntingdon, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, in UPMC Magee Hospital. Born in Braddock on April 10, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Kathleen (Thomas) Malmberg.

She was a property manager for many years. She was a former member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church-Irwin, where she was a former Sunday school teacher. She loved shopping and craft shows. Linda adored her grandchildren, from just sitting and playing games with them to coming to big events in their lives, she was alway there. She also loved the beach. These past few months, Linda had been obsessed with Baywatch. She said it made her feel like she was on the beach. She truly had such a great personality and such a big heart. She also loved traveling with her family, especially over the past many years with Summer to the Caribbean.

Linda is the mother of Nicole (Doug) Smith of Summerville, South Carolina and Summer (Jason) Pendro of North Huntingdon; grandmother of Ashley, Steven, Alyssa and Miabella; and sister of Edmund (Patty) Klingensmith of Chalfant, Robert E. Bobby” Malmberg Jr. and the late Gwendolyn Kay (Harold survives) Lawhorne and late Patricia Pat” Ellen (Thomas survives) Valko. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Spending time with her family and friends for the holidays was something she always looked forward to. Every holiday, no matter which one it was, you would always hear Lindas voice. She loved to sit and catch up with everyone.

Marlene G. Bailey, 92, of Buena Vista, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024. She was born June 30, 1931 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Catherine B. Gardner (nee McLean) and Carl E. Swanson. She was the wife of 58 years to the late John E. “Jack” Bailey, who passed away June 12, 2016. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Frank, a member of the Buena Vista Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Rebekah Order of the Odd Fellows. Marlene was an avid gardener and did a lot of her own canning over the years. She was a collector of antiques and antique bottles and amassed an extensive collection of all types of old bottles, many of which she dug out of the ground in different locales around the area. For many years she did volunteer work for the Central Food Pantry of Elizabeth Township, including a tenure as president. She also worked for the G.C. Murphy Co. in their home office in McKeesport in the 1950’s. She enjoyed traveling and shopping and spending time with friends. She was well-loved by friends and family and her kindness, generosity and good humor will be greatly missed.
