Steve C. Kertis, age 89 of West Mifflin, died Thursday, December 28, 2017. He was born January 22, 1928 in McKeesport, the son of the late Stephen and Anna Kertis and husband of the late Sarah Rose Bowers Kertis. He served in the US Army during WWII in the Philippines and Pearl Harbor. He was employed at US Steel Christy Park Works until he retired then became an optician. He was also a member of the White Oak American Legion Post #701.

Andrew M. Ryan, age 74 of Wall, died Thursday, December 28, 2017. He was born September 28, 1943 in Wilkinsburg, the son of the late Leo Michael and Mary Witouski Ryan. Andrew worked for Keystone Auto Parts from 1976 until his retirement in 2007. He loved woodworking and was so proud of all the projects he made for so many friends and family.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Ruthie Jones. For his service, he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal with 1 star and device, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm and the Purple Heart Medal.
