Elmer Galley, age 92, of McKeesport, died April 30, 2019, at The Palms At O'Neil. Born December 31, 1926, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Richard Frank and Pauline (Potocsnak) Galley and the husband of the late Dolores Jean (Woodworth) Galley.

Elmer retired from the former Copperweld of Glassport, where he worked as a crane operator. He was a US Army veteran, serving during WWII. Elmer enjoyed gardening, golfing, hunting and was an avid fisherman. He especially enjoyed fishing with his son's at Pymatuning Lake. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Elmer is survived by his children, Larry Galley of North Huntingdon and Kathy (Bill) Webster of McKeesport; daughter-in-law, Judy Galley of Port Vue; grandchildren, Ronald Deverse, Scott Deverse, Wendy Ressler, Jason Galley, William Webster and Nicole Galley; 6 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; sister, Pauline (Ted) Dworek; also many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Elmer was also preceded in death by his children, Victoria Ressler and Richard E. "Rick" Galley; siblings, Leo, Richard "Rip", Betty Leake and Gladys James.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, May 2, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at Noon, in the funeral home chapel. Chaplin Drew Decrease will be the celebrant. Inurnment will be in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park at a later date.
