Donald G. Berger, 59, of East McKeesport, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019. He was born July 26, 1959 in Munhall, a son of Donald A. Berger and the late Mary Elizabeth “Liz” (Cerda) Berger. He was a former employee of 5 S Components Inc., East McKeesport, and a member and elder at Linway United Presbyterian Church, North Versailles, where he had also served as the church secretary. He was a fan of 60’s era entertainment, enjoyed bowling, karaoke, and he had a good sense of humor. Donald was a devoted husband and proud father. He is survived by his wife Kathleen A. “Kathy” (Morgan) Berger and his daughter Jessica E. Berger both of East McKeesport; his sister Diana M. (Jim) Smith of West Mifflin; nieces and nephews including Deborah Smith and special thank you Jimmy Smith for his special assistance and care; mother in law Dolores Morgan; brothers and sisters in law Cindy (Marty) Busija, Rick (Shari) Morgan, Sally Rettger (Jeff Conte), and Patty (Sean) Marks.

Amos L. “Toby” Rager, Sr., age 80, of Lincoln Borough, died January 19, 2019. He was born in Fairmont, WV on January 26, 1938 and is the son of the late Frank and Mildred Keener Rager. He was the sole proprietor of A and R metal since 1978. He was a member of the Greater Works Church in Monroeville and the Western Pennsylvania Contest Riders. He loved to ride horses and his famous line to say was “Whip and Ride”.

Robert J. Wawrzeniak, 88, of Glassport died Saturday January 19, 2019. He is the son of the late Michael and Blanche (Pokropski) Wawrzeniak. He is survived by his daughter Kelly (Paul) Heatherington, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, son in law Dennis Sobczak and daughter in law Beth Wawrzeniak. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary (Hornyak) Wawrzeniak, daughter Lynn Sobczak, and son Mark Wawrzeniak. Robert was a member of Queen of the Rosary Parish, Polish National Alliance, American Legion, and was honorably discharged  from the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was the retired owner of Bob's Bar in Glassport where he spent many years with his patrons collecting monies for the UPMC Children's Hospital Free Care Fund. Friends received  WOJCIECHOWSKI FUNERAL HOME, Glassport, Tuesday 2-5 and 6-7:30 at which time a blessing will be held.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the free care fund at UPMC children's hospital  of Pittsburgh www.givetochildrens.org which was near and dear to Bob's heart.

Lawrence “Bub” William Trimnal, 90, of Clairton, formerly of Winter Haven, FL, passed away at home, surrounded by his adoring family, on Friday, January 18, 2019.  He was born January 6, 1929 in McKeesport to the late Irby and Janet Wilds Trimnal.  Bub is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Shirley A. Bobbs Trimnal; sons, Lawrence Trimnal of Clairton, William Trimnal of Clairton, Erick (Sandy) Trimnal of Finleyville, Keith (Cindy) Trimnal of Clairton; daughter, Valerie (August) Smarra of Jefferson Hills; brother, Odis (Dodi) Trimnal of Dravosburg; daughter-in-law, Linda Trimnal of Rock Hill, SC; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  Along with his parents, Bub was preceded in death by son, Barry Trimnal; siblings, Charles Trimnal, Wayne Trimnal, and Doris Stock.  He was a proud veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean Conflict, before retiring, Bub was an iron worker and was a member of Local #3 Iron Worker’s Union.  He was a member of VFW Post 803 in Clairton, enjoyed golf, and loved spending time with his family.  Aside from his love and pride for his family and his country, Bub fulfilled a promise he made to himself when, at age 57, he received his GED.  Arrangements have been entrusted to S. M. C. Lester M. Dolton Jr., 86, of Murrysville, passed away Wednesday January 16, 2019. He was born May 26, 1932 in Clairton, a son of the late Lester M Dalton Sr. and Emma (Adams) Dalton. Lester is an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a retired electrician for U.S. Steel, Clairton Works. He was a member of Holiday Park United Methodist Church and the Junior Order of United American Mechanics where he held various local, state, and national offices. He had a love and passion for bowling, participating in five bowling leagues, one of which he started 50 years ago. He was bowling only weeks before his passing. Lester had a great love of and faith in the Lord. He loved everyone he met and in return was loved by many. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Janet (Crownover) Dolton; son Brian Dolton; son-in-law Keith Ferrington Sr., and brother Ronald Dolton. He is survived by his children Bonnie Ferrington of Murrysville, Sherri (Mark) Ward of Colorado, Randy (Judy) Dolton of Latrobe, Janet (Robert) Allan of North Huntingdon, and Renee Dolton of Myrtle Beach; daughter-in-law Vickey Dolton of Smithton; 20 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; siblings June Betzner of Elizabeth, David Dolton of McKeesport, Donna Stewart of Elizabeth, Larry Dalton of Liberty Boro, and Gary Dalton of Fayette City; also nieces and nephews.

Christina Marie Lindsey, age 62 of Versailles, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019 in UPMC McKeesport Hospital.  Born Christmas Day, 1956 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Steven E. and Ida Virginia (Barkley) Messina, Christina worked as a home-health caregiver at homes in the area and worked for 20 years at the CFU Lodge 146 of Versailles, where she was also a member, and the Elks Club.  She is survived by her husband Michael P. Lindsey, her daughter Shelbi Lindsey of Pittsburgh, her sisters Stephanie (Jack) Oliver of McKeesport and Denise Ann Messina of Michigan, and her grand-dogs Ralph and Rhonda.

Ken retired from U.S. Steel Research Center, Monroeville, and had worked for U.S. Steel for forty years. He was a member of Miller United Methodist Church, North Versailles and a former volunteer for Meals On Wheels. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Viola “Vi” (Rowley) Hensler; his sons Kenny C. Hensler and his wife Shellie of Kennedy Township and Raymond G. Hensler and his wife Kathy of Cranberry Township; his grandchildren Matthew (wife Sara), Kelly, Michael, Brad, and Rachel Hensler; his sister Rita Marrow of East McKeesport; also nieces and nephews.
