Jean Margaret Riley, age 89, of Wilkinsburg, passed away July 19, 2019. She was born in Pittsburgh on Nov. 10, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Leslie M. and Margaret Skidmore Reese and the wife of the late Philip J. Riley. She was a member of the Pittsburgh Irish Center for many years.
She is survived by her son, Philip J. (Karen) Riley VI of Monroeville; daughters, Margaret A. (Scott) Gibson of N. Versailles, Mary L. (Michael) Hutchinson of Greensburg, Jean A. (James) Gallagher of Prospect; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren; she is preceded in death by her brother, Leslie M. and his wife Gayle Reese.

Walter Everett “Wally” McGee III, 59, of McKeesport, passed away on Monday, July 15th, 2019 at his home. He was born in Mckeesport on May 10th, 1960 to the late Barbara A Csorbaand Walter Everett McGee Jr.Wally is survived by his two sisters; Karen (Regis) Bryer, of Huntersville, NC, and Kimberly (Ken) Zera,of Orange, Va. Heis also survived by his Aunt Betty O’Shell of Pittsburgh and Aunt Janet (Tom) Brady of Boston, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Wally was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Andrew Walter McGee. He will be remembered as a "plumber, welder, landscaper, and a jack of all trades", and a man with a heart of gold. Wally’s kind soul will be missed by so many. He had a smilethat made the worst days better, eagerness to help his friends and family, and stories that you couldn’t wait to hear.Wally was always “busy doing nothing” or he“had nowhere to be ASAP”. Dale William Mays, 66, of White Oak, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, July 18, 2019. He was born August 13, 1952 in McKeesport, loving son of William and Elaine (Ohs) Mays. Prior to his retirement, Dale was a brakeman for Union Railroad and a graduate of Norwin Senior High School Class of 1970. He was an avid reader and loved art and music. He is survived by his sister, Renee Martz and her husband, Bob; nephew, Brett Martz and his wife Addie, and their children, Emma and Mats; niece, Heather Johnson and her husband, Mike and their son, Baylor. Brian Lawrence Hetrick, 21, of North Huntingdon died at home on July 16, 2019. He was born February 28, 1998 in Greensburg, the loving son of Warren Hetrick and Marina Venturelli. In 2002, Brian became the older brother to his surviving sibling, Alex Hetrick. Brian was a 2016 graduate of Norwin High School. He was about to begin his Senior year at University of Pittsburgh, Greensburg, where he was a Dean’s List student after transferring from WCCC in 2018. He also worked at Kohl’s, North Huntingdon for the past few years.
Brian was a good kid. He didn’t do drugs, never got into trouble, and hardly drank. He went to pre-school at Calvary Preschool Center, attended first grade at West Hempfield Elementary before transferring to Sunset Valley Elementary, and continued his high school career at Norwin School District. He received First Communion and Confirmation at St. Agnes Church.
He played soccer for many years at the Norwin Soccer Club, playing for coach Seth’s Travel Team, and later for the 9th Grade High School Team. He went on to play for WCCC his freshman year in college. He also participated in martial arts, T-ball, baseball, basketball and track growing up. Brian spoke Italian, and he loved travelling to Italy to visit his Nonni, and especially adored being with his two young cousins there, who took to him so much. He also enjoyed beach vacations growing up, and being with his good friends Marc, Cayden, Cam, Kevin, and many other special friends from all parts of his life.

Patricia Ann Harris, age 87, of McKeesport, died July 17, 2019. She was born in McKeesport on October 17, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Ida Mondin Forsberg and her late husband, Elmer. She is the wife of the late Jack H. Harris. She was retired from Penn State University after 40 years of service, working in their Continuing Education Program.
When wintering in Florida with her daughter, she volunteered at South Florida Fair in West Palm Beach. However, because of her love for the City of McKeesport, she was extremely active in various organizations. She was the Volunteer Coordinator at McKeesport Heritage Center and Co-Chair of the Festival of Trees. She organized the Penn State Retirees Luncheon Group and volunteered for many years for McKeesport International Village.

Clark M. Kerr, age 90, of Irwin, died July 14, 2019. He was born in Turtle Creek and the son of the late Mary and Edwin O. Kerr. He graduated from Turtle Creek High School then served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After serving in the military, he earned a bachelor degree from Slippery Rock University and a master’s degree from Indiana University. He taught at South Fork, Gateway, and 25 years as a guidance counselor in the Hempfield Area School District. He was preceded in death by son-in-law Ben Lubinsky, brothers Blaine Craig, Carl Kerr, and sister Elva Zenk. Surviving are his wife Mildred Patterson Kerr, two children: Dr. Clark M. Beloved husband for 54 of Caroline Schwab Riley, whom he married on August 28, 1965. Loving father of Michael Andrew "Andy" (Sandra) Riley III and Julie (Alexander) Tschammer-Osten. Proud grandfather of Katherine, Julia, Ava, & Annika.
Born and raised in McKeesport, PA, Michael was a Korean War Army Veteran, attended Robert Morris College, and worked for 32 years for U.S. Treasury Department as an IRS Agent. He was a member of Brentwood VFW, Brookline American Legion, Dormont AARP, and a longtime member of Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Brookline and recently St. Richard Catholic Church in Gibsonia. In his retirement years, Mr. & Mrs. Riley traveled extensively in the U.S., Canada, & Europe. The Riley's moved to Gibsonia in 2015 to be near family.
