Gerald "Jerry" Kapolka age 70, of West Mifflin, on May 26, 2019. He was born March 17, 1949 in McKeesport, and died at home. He was a son of the late John and Mary (Yanichko) Kapolka. Jerry worked in Hotel Accounting. He was a member of Christ, The Light of the World Parish. He enjoyed golfing and was an outstanding athlete in his youth, and was a long-time caretaker for his mother and brother. He was a brother of the late Ronald J. Kapolka and the Marjorie Bishoff. He is survived by his caretaker and beloved friend, Dr. Andrew (Karen) Giran of Elizabeth. There will be no visitation. Graveside service will be held on Friday, June 14 at 10 a.m. At St. Hedwig Cemetery, West Mifflin. Rev. Thomas Lewandowski officiating. She was retired from the Register of Wills and the purchasing Dept for Kane regional centers for Allegheny County. A member of Christ the Light of the World Parish, Duquesne. She enjoyed shopping. She was the wife of the late Ralph Barkac and former wife of Richard "Iggy" Ignat, Sr.; mother of Richard (Nita) Ignat, Jr. of West Mifflin, Sherri (Joe) Hamar of West Mifflin; grandmother of Clayton (Christina) Ignat, Shaina Ignat, Chelsea (fiancé, Imir Sanders) Ignat, J.T. Hamar, Kaitlyn Hamar; she was preceded in death by her grandchild, Tyler Mikulla; great-grandmother of Cameron Ignat, Caleigh Ignat, Santana Sanders; sister of Audrey (James) Ferencz of Penn Hills and Joan (Gary) Schink of West Mifflin; stepmother of Holly Barkac-Costello and Stacy Barkac-Mainwaring. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at 10 a.m. at Holy Name Church of Christ the Light of the World Parish, Duquesne. Rev. Gloria M. (Tait) Cade, 92, of North Huntingdon, died Monday June 3, 2019. She was born May 11, 1927 in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Charles and Mathilda F. (Kasparek) Tait and was also preceded in death by her husband John E. Cade Jr., a brother Charles Tait, and a sister Mary Jane Dingfelder. She was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict serving as a nurse and attaining the rank of Captain. She was certified as a registered nurse and had worked at Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. Gloria was a longtime active member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Larimer, the Larimer VFD Auxiliary, and the McKeesport Nurses Alumni. She is survived by her children Dr. John E. “Jack” Cade III and his wife Samantha and Patricia L. Young and her husband Chip; her grandchildren Caitlin C. Young and Robert (Tracy) Futon; also nieces and nephews.

He was a junior McKeesport Area High School and employed at Tillie’s Restaurant, McKeesport. Ciquan enjoyed playing basketball and PlayStation 4.

He is survived by his daughter Megan Thompson; brother A. Robert Tracy Ziemke, age 93 of Versailles, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Born October 7, 1925 in Versailles, he was a son of the late Frank and Emma (Tracy) Ziemke. A 1943 graduate of McKeesport High School, Robert was a World War II Veteran of the US Army, serving in D Company, 254th Infantry Regiment, 63rd Infantry Division "Blood and Fire." Robert married the late Mary Lou (Feightner) Ziemke on January 15, 1947, and they stayed happily married for 57 years until her passing on February 15, 2004. He worked for US Steel's National Tube Works from 1947 to 1960 and Equitable Gas from 1960 to 1991, joining their Equitable Gas Retirees' Club.

David Hubert Scott, age 67, of North Versailles, died Monday, June 3, 2019. He was born in McKeesport on July 8, 1951 and is the son of the late Hubert W. and Dorothy Emma Prezel Scott. He served in the Marines during the Vietnam war. He was a chef at Robert Morris University and at Parkhurst Dining in Pittsburgh.

A graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Kathleen also worked as a secretary for Rost Electric, her family's business. She was a devout member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Twp. and kept her faith strong. In her spare time, Kathleen loved to play bridge and golf with her Y.C.C. Women's Golf League. She enjoyed travelling with her friends from N.E.C.A. and loved her family vacations to Stone Harbor, NJ and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, FL. Most importantly, she was a loving and devoted wife to William F. Rost, who passed away August 14, 1992.
