Nicholas Karlovich, age 89 of Oakdale, Pa died August 19, 2019 at Concordia in Monroeville. He was born February 10, 1930 in Pittsburgh, Pa., a son of the late Rudolph and Danica Karlovich. Nicholas was a hardworking construction worker. He was a proud member of the Masons, veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War and had a heart of gold. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Pauline, an infant son, David Michael, and ten brothers and sisters. He is survived by his niece Denise Pochan, grand nephew Michael and grand niece Melissa. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, Pa on Thursday from 6-8 p.m during which time a funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. . Private interment at Greene County Memorial Park. Mark J. Lazzaro, 76, of North Huntingdon, went to be with his Lord and Savior August 17, 2019. He was born September 21, 1942 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Joseph J. and Josephine M. (Mazzei) Lazzaro. Mark was a bus driver for most of his working life and drove over 3,600,000 miles as a safe bus driver. He worked for Lincoln Coach, Pennsylvania Coach, 88 Transit, and Community Life. He also worked at Sam’s Club. At age 59 he rode his bike with friends 45 miles from Ohiopyle to Sutersville.
 
Mark excelled at everything he did. He was a member of Norwin Christian & Missionary Alliance Church where he served as an elder, a devoted Sunday school teacher and was in charge of the church van. Mark battled cancer courageously and valiantly with a trust and faith in Jesus as his savior beyond all measure. Mark was a Marine Corps disabled veteran and a member of the Marine Corps League.

A member of St. Joseph's Church, Duquense. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, writing to people and traveling. He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II; husband of the late Mary Jane (Dougherty) Schorr; father of Janice Schorr of Salt Lake City, Utah and Paul (Amy) Schorr of West Mifflin; also five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; brother of Jerry Schorr of White Oak, Rene (late Jim) Eisenhuth of Boalsburg, PA, the late Alberta Schorr, late Walter Schorr, late Theresa (late Bob) Fontanese, late Dolores (late Joseph) McKenna and late Mary (late Thomas) McAraw. Col. Eugene Stanley Lynch

Col. Eugene Stanley Lynch, 85, of Springfield, Va., died August 6, 2019. He was the son of Charles and Viola Lynch.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Virginia Lynch who he referred to her as honey or sweetie and first met her as part of his First Holy Communion class 14 years earlier; sons Michael E. Lynch, William S. Lynch, Brian Lynch; daughters Kathleen Pepper, Pamela Ott; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Sammy, and Kristopher Pepper, Michelle Appel and Matthew Lynch, Courtney and Julianna Ott; great grandchildren Ben and Alexis Pepper; brother Henry Lynch; sister Eleanor Nigro; and wonderful nephews and nieces. Gene was predeceased by his brothers Carl and Leonard Lynch, sister Dolores Gabany.

Gene was a Cadet at West Point as part of the Class of 1956. He attended daily Mass at the Catholic Chapel which helped him throughout his four years. He was an excellent athlete and loved playing intramural sports with lacrosse being his favorite. He was a US Army Ranger Paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division. He served in the Field Artillery during the Vietnam war. During his military service Gene coached his children’s sports teams and teaching his players the fundamentals. Coach Lynch immensely enjoyed his players improvements over the course of the season and his players loved playing for him. He served as an Usher and handed out bulletins at church.

After retiring from the Army in 1982, Colonel Lynch worked for Applied Research Corporation on NASA programs and later for Metters Industries rising to Chief Operating Officer until retiring from private industry.

Vameer Davis, 37, of Rickenbacker, Ohio, departed this life on Saturday, August 10, 2019, in Hamilton Township, Ohio.

He was born August 8, 1982, in Pittsburgh, PA, son of Leevan and Ruth Lena Davis of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Vameer formerly attended Creative Ministries Berachah, while residing in the McKeesport area.  He worked for a shipping and handling company in Columbus as a Forklift Operator.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother and father, Leevan and Ruth Lena Davis of Charlotte, North Carolina; children, DeShea Davis and Triston Davis and their mother and his devoted companion of fourteen years, Britney N. Brown all of McKeesport; siblings, Leevan Jefferson of Florida, VanTara Burney of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, VanLavar and Leticia Davis of Turtle Creek, VeeJay Davis and Vonbreem and Kayla Davis both of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Jessica Gentile of Penn Hills, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Colonel Paul R. Flebotte, Army, Retired, age 79, of North Huntingdon, PA, passed away August 13, 2019. He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, the son of French Canadian immigrants. He spent 30 years of service in the Army.
 
Paul began his military career by volunteering for the draft and enlisting in the infantry. During this period he served one year in Vietnam. After two years he enrolled in Officers Candidate School and received his commission upon graduation. Paul served a second tour in Vietnam. Military intelligence was his specialty. He served most notably as Army Attaché in Saudi Arabia and Morocco and Defense Attaché in Tunisia.
 
He is survived by Kathy, his wife of over 49 years, and by his son Shawn and wife Crystal; grandchildren Brendan, Olivia, Delaney and Landon; sister Esther Donahue; niece Renee Spring and husband Fred; nephew Mark Donahue and wife Kerry.
