He was born January 24, 1942 in Clairton, Pa., a son of the late James and Amelia Henderson. Prior to his retirement Jim was a home health care worker and a member of The Church in Sutersville.

A kind gentle soul, Devon, considered everyone a friend. He was always willing to help someone with his physical strength. He was an avid Steelers fan who loved sports in general. A self-professed chef, Devon enjoyed cooking and experimenting with new recipes. He also enjoyed life according to his own terms. He was resourceful and reserved who loved to chuckle, even at the silliest of things.

Carnelia Garrett, 91, of Duquesne, PA departed life peacefully on Saturday December 12, 2020 at Canterbury Place, Lawrenceville, PA.
Carnelia was born August 30, 1929 in McKeesport, PA, daughter of the late Reuben, Sr and Wilmer Reid Lyerly. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Thomas Garrett, sons, Ernie Garrett (Angelic Garrett, Donna Clifford) and Rodney Garrett, brothers, Reuben Lyerly Jr., Eugene Lyerly and Manuel Lyerly.
Carnelia was raised in Clairton, PA, and attended school there. At a young age, she was baptized at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was employed at one time for K-Mart in South Hills.
Carnelia loved doing hair and graduated from the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy and earned her Beautician License. She was very successful doing hair in her home salon. She enjoyed spending time with family and socialized at Community Life making new friends, playing games, field trips, and the meals they prepared. Carnelia loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and on any given Sunday she was cheering for them or she would be watching CNN. She was one who never minced words, she would say exactly what was on her mind.

Born November 29, 1930 in Avella, she was a daughter of the late John and Celia (Delfus) Royal. While residing in Pleasant Hills, Doris was a member of Pleasant Hills Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon. Upon moving to Elizabeth she joined Round Hill Presbyterian Church and was member of the Seasoned Saints Sunday School Class and attended worship regularly. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Merle Gindlesberger, her son Chip (Patti) Gindlesberger, her identical and "mirror" twin sister Dorothy Hudak, and her sister Emma Jean Seewock. Doris is survived by her children Gayle (Dennis) Larcinese of Elizabeth, Dave (Torrie) Gindlesberger of Florida, and Doreen (Len) Kendo of Elizabeth; her ten grandchildren and three step-grandchildren (to whom she was GramGram); her ten great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren; and also nieces and nephews.

Edward Meador was a father of 4 and loved by his Fiancé, Naimah Williams. He enjoyed Friday night boat rides and whiskey bbq.
