He was born November 9, 1923 in Irwin, a son of the late Russell L. and Returah “Toots” (Stitley) Kinsey and was also preceded in death by his wife of sixty nine years Eleanore B. (Jacko) Kinsey in September 2016, a daughter Marianne Kinsey, a son Thomas L. Kinsey Sr., and a brother Arthur C. “Bud” Kinsey. He was a graduate of Norwin High School, class of 1942, a Navy veteran of WWII having served in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre, a retired employee of Westinghouse Electric Corp., East Pittsburgh and a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Irwin. He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman.

Nowicki, age 92 of McKeesport, entered into Heaven’s Gates on March 29, 2017 at Paramount Senior Living in McMurray.  Born March 15, 1925 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Sally (Rymar) Kustra and wife of the late Edmund R. Nowicki.  Our mother always looked for the good in everyone and offered a warm greeting to everyone she met.  She had a gracious, selfless spirit and indomitable strength despite all the challenges of her life, because, “someone always has it worse”.  She was our heart and soul.  She was the Past President of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers & Ladies Guild, Past President of the Rosary Society, Eucharistic Minister and former member of the Pastoral Council.  She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court #221 and the McKeesport PNA #352.  She is survived by her son, Dr. Edmund J. (Christi) Nowicki; daughter, Patricia J. Dobranski; grandchildren, Aaron Stewart, Lacey Stewart, Kellie (Josh) Stahlman, Logan Stewart, Edmund C. Nowicki, Haley Nowicki, Roberto Nowicki, Jack Nowicki, Amanda (David) Stone, Melissa (Daniel) Fletcher, and Ethan Dobranski; great-grandchildren, Caleb Stahlman, Rayne Stone, and Clara Stahlman, and also survived by many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by daughters, Cyndi Nowicki and Marianne Stewart; sister, Gladys Golik; brother, Edward Kustra and niece, Donna Golik.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 2-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Corpus Christi Church.  Fr. Born September 23, 1946 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late David C. and Mary Elizabeth (McCarthy) Krimm, Jr. and loving wife of the late Anthony V. Perozich, Jr. Loretta worked as a Nurse’s Assistant for McKeesport Hospital, having retired from after many dedicated years of service. Following her retirement, she began working as a tax collector for Lincoln Boro. She was also the President of the Lincoln Boro Fire and Rescue Ladies Auxiliary, the first female member of the Lincoln Boro Fire Dept., assistant Girl Scout leader, past President of South Allegheny Band Parents, and a member of St. Mark Parish of Liberty Boro where she was an usher and Christian Mother. Above all, her greatest joy was the time spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Anthony (Annette) Perozich, III of Lincoln Boro, Susan Lynn (Charlie) Griffin of Plum Boro; grandchildren, Erica, Hallie, Anthony IV, and Meghan Perozich, Rebecca Lynn and Emma Louise Griffin; great-grandson, Caleb Lee; and brother, David (Diane) Krimm, III of Delmont. Raymond A. “Mex” Maldonado, age 63 of McKeesport, died at home on March 28, 2017.  Born June 26, 1953 in McKeesport, he was the son of Harry R. (the late Margaret) Maldonado and Alicia (Jerry) Peters.  He was the loving husband of Cindy (Stumme) Maldonado for 25 years.  Ray worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for Mifflin Estates.  He was a “dad” to many and was always willing to mentor and provide for anyone.  He was remembered in the summer for paying the ice cream man in advance so that way, any kid who came up was more than welcome to enjoy some ice cream at no expense.  The word hate did not exist in his vocabulary.  He had a passion for bass fishing and going to his second home at Lake Wilhelm.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Chad (Sarah) Maldonado; Kelly (John Jr.) Hatfield, Katy (Layne) Hurst, and grandchildren, Olivia “O”, Caleb, Cash, Jordan, and Alexis; siblings, Lisa Maldonado, Brian Maldonado, Cindy Campagna, Jennifer Evars, Jerry Peters, Pam (Tom) Keffer  and Leayn Thomas.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, special sons and daughters.  He was preceded in death by mother, Margaret Maldonado; brothers Bruce Maldonado and Chuck McCune.   Family and friends will be received on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m, and Monday services will be held at the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.  Condolences may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com

Never married, Fred drove tractor trailers for many different companies and was a long time member of Wilson Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his brother, John S. Roberts and his wife, Glenda of White Oak; niece Crystal Roberts Stalter and her husband, Mark; nephew Ryan S. Roberts and his wife, Kristy; two great nieces, Caitlin and Taylor; two great nephews, Joshua and Cody; also many cousins and his special cousin, John Lickert who was very good to Fred in visiting him at Kane and before that taking him to his doctor appointments. Fred is loved and will be missed especially by his brother. A Memorial Service celebrating Fred’s life will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 12 Noon at the First Evangelical Free Church, 4001 University Drive, McKeesport, PA 15132. Paul was a loving husband, for 68 years, to the late Shirley Granger Kalp who passed away in 2013. Anthony “Tony” Michael Salvador Jr., 89, of Dravosburg, formerly of Glassport, passed away on Sunday March 5, 2017.  He was born August 9, 1927 in Glassport to the late Anthony M. Sr. and Laura (Craig) Salvador.  He is survived by sons, Anthony M. (Lois) Salvador III of White Oak, Vincent G. (Kathy) Salvador of North Irwin, Howard G. (Lisa) Salvador of Boston, MA; daughters, Sharon A. Karch (Lucian) of Pembroke Pines, FL, Patricia L. Salvador (Charles) of McKeesport, Sara E. Salvador of Kenneth City, FL; significant other, Mary Ann Pici of Versailles; eleven grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  Along with his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by wife, Anne M. (Laird) Salvador; brother, Howard Salvador; sisters, Ellen Tambella and Betty Corletti.  He enlisted in the US Navy in 1945 during WWII.  Upon discharge, he became a reservist and was reactivated during the Korean War. He was part of the Atlantic Fleet, during both periods of service, aboard the USS Currituck and USS Worcester where he was a storekeeper/trainer. Tony was a member of the Dravosburg United Methodist Church where he was a Trustee, usher, and member of the Methodist Men. He also enjoyed spending his leisure time ballroom dancing. He retired from Copperweld Steel Company in Glassport, was a member & past officer of United Steelworkers Union Local 1407, a past commander of American Legion “Burt Foster” Post 361 in McKeesport, and a member of American Legion Post 701 in White Oak. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm at I. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 4th Street, Dravosburg,  PA   15034. Service will take place at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 9, 2017   at Dravosburg United Methodist Church followed by interment at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park in North Huntingdon with full military honors. Vincent E. Wassel, age 54, of McKeesport, died March 4, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born October 2, 1962, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Robert and Dolores (Clark) Wassel and the husband of Kimberly (Picketts) Wassel for 32 loving years.
Vincent was the Deputy Fire Chief, of the McKeesport Fire Department, Station # 190. In the line of duty he acquired cancer and after a year and a half long battle, he gave the ultimate sacrifice. Vincent’s life and death was true to The Fireman’s Prayer: “I want to fill my calling and to give the best in me, to guard my every neighbor, and protect his property. And if according to your will, Lord, I have to lose my life, Please bless with your protecting hand, my children and my wife, Amen.”
Vincent was a member of Corpus Christi Church. He was also a member of the Croation Men's Club , in Versailles and the McKeesport, P.N.A. He enjoyed hunting, camping, golfing and most of all spending time with his friends, loving family and his loyal dog, "Meeka." Additionally, he was an avid photo bomber and he had great dance "skills."
In addition to his wife, Vincent is survived by children, Ashleigh (Matthew Paige) Wassel of Jefferson Hills and Vincent “Vinnie” Wassel of McKeesport; siblings, Robert (Wendy) Wassel, Patricia Wassel and Brian Wassel all of White Oak; mother-in-law, Janet Picketts of McKeesport; brother-in-law, Gary (Jennifer) Picketts of North Huntingdon; sister-in-law, Diana (Daniel) Barkovich of Gibsonia; also many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Wassel.
Family, fellow Fireman and friends will be received at the Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 8, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 9, 2017, 10 a.m., at Corpus Christi Church. Committal and Fireman’s Honors will follow in the Round Hill Cemetery.
