Robert M. Schweitzer, age 69 of West Mifflin, died suddenly on Friday, March 17, 2017. Robert was born in McKeesport on May 7, 1947, son of the late Herman R. and Mary Rose Martucci Schweitzer. He retired happily as a Lieutenant for the West Mifflin Police Department after 29 years of service. He was a member of the #3 Fire Department of West Mifflin, American Legion Post 712 in Pleasant Hills, Fraternal Order of Police, VFW Post 802 in Wilson, Syria Shriners, and the Bethel Park Lodge #761 F&AM for over 39 years. He also loved watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and spending time with his fellow friends.

He is survived by his loving daughter; Rachel Schweitzer (Stephanie) of Jefferson Hills, sister; Sharon (Sam) Terzich of West Mifflin, and many nieces, great-nieces, and nephews.

Friends will be received at Striffler’s of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 2 until 8 pm (Masonic services will be held on Tuesday March 21, 2017 at 7:30 pm). Services will be held on Wednesday March 22, 2017 at 10 am in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Kevin Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Church Cemetery.
