Rita E. Emsurak, 93, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Rita was born August 7, 1930 in Elizabeth and was the daughter of the late Fernand Clement and Anna (Gaublomme) Blanc. She was the wife of the late Thomas S. Emsurak, who passed away April 15, 1986. Rita loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for being an excellent cook and baker and loved to feed her family. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cards, especially gin and gin rummy, playing bingo and completing puzzles. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Thomas "Tom" P. (the late Judy) Emsurak; grandsons, Ryan P. (Janeen) Emsurak, and Brad (Allison) Emsurak; great-grandchildren, Brittany (Brian Jr.), Rylee, McKenzie, Jackson, Brook and Zach; great-great grandson, Brian III.; brother, Fred (Jan) Blanc and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and daughter-in-law, she was preceded in death by her sister, Norma (the late Ed) Dodson. Friends are welcome on Sunday, April 21 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 22 at 11:00 am with The Rev. Vince Velas, officiating. Interment will follow at the Round Hill Cemetery.
