Elveria H. Johnson, 82, of McKeesport, died Saturday, December 2, 2017 at UPMC McKeesport.  Born in Port Vue, PA on January 19, 1935, she had been employed by the former Famous Department Store and Bill Taylor’s Catering.  She was a member of the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, White Oak and its Young At Heart, Pricilla Circle, and Women of E.L.C.A., was a volunteer at the Intersection and Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank, was a member of Amaranth, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Beatrice Chapter #147, Pythian Sisters of Irwin.  Daughter of the late Charles and Hilda Marie Johnson Blamick; wife of the late Donald Lewis Johnson; sister of the late Robert S. (Lois) Blamick, Joseph E. Blamick, Charles (Gertrude) Blamick and Jeannette (Steve) Jeney; sister in law of the late Walter Mains and Carl Seitz.  She is survived by her son, Wayne (Deborah) Johnson of Driftwood, PA; granddaughter, Melissasue Moore of Emporium, PA; brother, Wesley E. (Carolyn) Blamick of Tallahasse, FL; sisters, Vervaine E. (Vickie) Mains of White Oak and Kathryn M. Seitz of White oak; sister in law, Arlene Blamick of North Huntingdon; also by nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received in the Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA  15132 on Tuesday from 6-9 PM and Wednesday from 9-11 AM.  A service will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 12:00 noon in the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Michael Ryan officiating.  Interment will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery.  The family suggests contributions to her church.

August W. “Gus” Pastor, 73, of North Irwin, died suddenly Saturday December 2, 2017 while hunting in Avella. He was born November 14, 1944 in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Frank and Goldie L. (Burkhart) Pastor. Gus retired as owner of RTP Machine and Manufacturing and was a former machinist for Westinghouse Airbrake Co., Wilmerding. He was an Army veteran and an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He was a member of North Irwin Fireman’s Club and liked to watch Judge Judy and the Price is Right. He loved driving his Jaguar and riding his Harley Davidson. He is the beloved husband of 28 years of Tracy (Payne) Pastor; loving father of Ronald J. Rodgers (Christine Christopherson) of CA, Colleen (Tom) Cimino of Houston, Cathleen (Jay) Siefert of Greensburg, and Bill Pastor of GA; loving grandfather of ten grandchildren; cherished brother of Frank (Arlene) Pastor of Burgettstown; son in law of John and Mary Lou Payne of North Huntingdon; brother in law of Sherry Payne (Bob) DiCristofaro, John (Linda Pavlik) Payne, and Jody Payne (Raun) Churchfield all of North Huntingdon; also many nieces and nephews.

Scott Kenneth Binkney, 53, of Ridge, MD, formerly of Liberty Borough, PA, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Saturday November 25, 2017. Cremation was chosen to honor Scott’s wishes.

Scott was born May 16, 1964 in Mckeesport, PA and was the son of Judy E. Fullerton Binkney Kantorczyk of Mooresville, NC and the late Ralph Kenneth Binkney. He is survived by his wife, April Diane Pearson Binkney of 22 years, sons, Ryan  (Brynn) Binkney of Lexington Park, MD, Andrew (Trista) Binkney of Struthers, OH,  Adam , Jared, Joseph and daughters, Ciarra and Madison all of Ridge, MD. Grandchildren Audrina, Alexander, and Aislyn Binkney. Sisters, Rebecca Binkney of Glassport, Pa and Merry Skotnicki of Louisville, KY, and brothers , Chris Binkney of Penn Hills, PA and David (Kristen) Binkney of Mooresville, NC. Step-mother Donna Binkney of Mckeesport, PA, many  nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-father Ernest Kantorczyk and grandmother Margaret “Nana” Binkney.

Scott was a member of Word of Worship Church in White Oak, PA and was a corporate Job recruiter. Scott was very patriotic and loved his country. He was very proud to have served in the United States Navy for 14 years.  He enjoyed coaching his children’s basketball and soccer teams. Scott was compassionate towards others and was always willing to help a friend or stranger in need.  He was an organ donor and in the past had donated bone marrow.   Scott will be remembered most for his passionate words and rants on facebook along with his sarcasm, humor and quick wit.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Scott’s life will be held at Word of Worship Church, White Oak, PA.  Family will be there at 2pm to greet other relatives and Friends.  The service will begin at 3:30. She was a 1953 graduate of McKeesport High School.   She worked at People’s Union Bank in McKeesport as a bookkeeper and was a homemaker.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 701 in White Oak.
