DAVID E. HOWARD age 94, of West Mifflin on July 29, 2018. he was a son of the late Daniel and Mary (Flaherty) Howard. He was retired from US Steel Duquesne Works,  as a loader. A member of Resurrection Church in West Mifflin and he proudly served his country in the Army Air Corp. during WWII. Husband of the late Dorothy M. (Monahan) Howard; father of David M. (Ruth) Howard of Duquesne,PA, Kevin P. (Rose) Howard of Sinking Springs, PA, James E. (Paula) Howard of Lincoln, RI, and the late Colleen (surviving spouse Jerry) Kovaly; also 10 grandchildren and six great-granschildren. He was predeceased by six brothers and two sisters. Visitation on Sunday, August 5 friom 1-8 p.m., at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave Duquesne 412-466-3300, where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 9 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name Chruch of Christ the Light of the World Parish at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Thomas Lewandowski officiating. Burial with Military Honors at Jefferson Memorial Park.

Stanley M. "Ducky" Kaska, 90, of Clairton, died July 29, 2018.  He is the son of the late Anthony and Antoinette Kaczka.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Dorothy (Garber) Kaska; daughter Cindy (Curtis) Tanner; sons Andrew Grant, Alan and Randy (Yolanta) Kaska; grandchildren Drew, Amber, Noel  (Jeff) Skorvan, Josh and Jaden; great grandchildren Alexa, Kylie, Ava Skorvan, Julian and Victoria Kaska;  brother John (Betty) Kaczka; sisters Stephanie Edmundson and Mildred Prejean; also nieces and nephews. Stanley was retired from P @ LE Railroad and American General and was a member of Holy Spirit Church in West Mifflin.  He was very proud of his football success with the Glassport Gladiators, Glassport Odds and the McKeesport Ironmen.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home Fri. 3-6.  A funeral blessing will be held Sat. 11:00 am in the funeral home.  Interment following Lebanon Church Cemetery.

Faith Ann Noll, 45, of Port Vue, formerly of Glassport, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.  She was born in McKeesport March 17, 1973 to John and Sharon Noll of Port Vue.  Faith is survived by daughters, Katelynn (Timothy) Binns of West Mifflin, Sarah Noll of North Versailles; son, Nathan Noll Nelson of Port Vue; step-daughter, Julia Nelson of Port Vue; grandchildren, Lillie & Lyla Binns; sister, Amanda (Christopher) Palyo of Jefferson Hills; brothers, John (Lisa McCune) Noll III of Port Vue, Jason Noll of Lincoln Boro; nieces, Allyssa, Teagan; nephew, Christopher; her cat Ren.  She was preceded in death by her dogs, Vanity and Schmoodle.   Faith was a caregiver at heart.  She cared for anyone in need, her granddaughters, and family, because that’s what she loved.  Visitation will take place Friday, August 3, 2018 from 4 – 8 at E. C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 235 Monongahela Avenue, Glassport,  PA  15045.  A memorial service will take place at the funeral home at  7 pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the funeral home to help defray costs.  Online condolences may be offered at www.finneyfuneralhome.com

Virginia (Suranski) Valigura, 88, of Springdale, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 27, 2018. She was born on January 23, 1930 to her parents, the late Charles F. and Anna (Marks) Suranski.  Virginia was a 1947 graduate of McKeesport High School and a 1948 graduate of Mason Frederick’s Beauty School. She passed the state boards and worked 9 years as a Beauty Operator. 

She moved to Springdale in 1956 when she married the late Michael Valigura.  Mrs. Valigura was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Springdale.  Virginia’s life revolved around her son Bobby, her family and her many friends.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Michael and brother Charles F. Suranski Jr.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Irwin, an avid poker player and enjoyed going to the casino, and had a pilot license. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, a Pittsburgh sports fan, and enjoyed having coffee with friends.
