Mary Soltis, 97, of North Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019.  She was born June 13, 1922 in Skrabske, Czechoslovakia, daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Halkova) Kacvinsky.  Mary was a member of St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church where she was past president of the women's club and was involved with the fundraising for the church.  She embraced her Slovak heritage and was a member of the GCU and enjoyed cooking delicious  traditional Slovak dishes and desserts for her family and friends.  She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those lives she touched with her gentleness, love and devotion.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nicholas Soltis; and beloved sons, John and Paul Soltis.  She is survived by her daughters, Mary Bezick and her husband, James, Ann Dole and her husband, Darrell;  son, Michael Soltis and his wife, Terri; grandchildren, Denine (Eddie) Clouse, Denise Bezick-Hume, Kristine (Jason) Mong, Danielle (Paul) Baker, Summer Soltis, Matthew (Ashley) Dole and Lindsay Soltis and her fiance, Dan Moore; great-grandchildren, Sara (Evelyn) Clouse, Nicholas, Jordan Clouse, Elizabeth and Wyatt Hume, Emily and Raymond Baker, Ethan McCoy,  Emma and Caleb Dole; and numerous nieces and nephews in Slovakia.  Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon.  A Parastas service will take place at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9:30 - 10 a.m. at St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church, North Huntingdon A Divine Liturgy will follow at 10 a.m.  PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH.  Interment to follow in Irwin Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church in memory of Mary.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.

Alice Faye (Peabody) Bealko, age 86, a longtime resident of Irwin Manor, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, August 21, 2019. She was born August 29, 1932 in Louisville, KY, a daughter of the late Russell E. and Rose O. Peabody. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son-in-law Dennis Petrovay; a brother Jerry Peabody; and a sister Roberta Howell. Alice lived a life full of love for family and friends. She enjoyed fishing, bingo, traveling, and her scratch off tickets. She is survived by her daughters Beverly Petrovay of North Huntingdon, Veronica Walker of Port Orange, Florida and Susan (Dennis) James of North Huntingdon; her grandchildren Kristi, Rick, Rebekah, Lisa, Joanna, Alexis, Amy, Jeremy, and Dennis; her great grandchildren Chelsy, Brandy Steeley, Destiney, , Giovanni III, Miranda, Harley, Alex, Jerry, R.J., Adam, Zachary, George, Madden, Eli, Marina, Aaron, Nevada, Arianna, Brady, Layla, and Mya; and her great-great grandchildren Kyle, Lauren, Alexandria, Madison, and Giovanni IV.

Patricia C. Greene, 76 of North Huntingdon died August 24, 2019 at Excela Health Westmoreland Regional Hospital. She was born May 2, 1943 in Wilkinsburg, Pa., a daughter of the late Norman and Agnes Ward Carney.  Prior  to retirement she was a Realtor  for Century 21. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Robert Carney. Patricia enjoyed playing bingo, trips to the Atlantic City Casinos, and reading.  She is survived by her husband Lowell, a son Lowell  (Miranda), two daughters Connie (Ronnie) Kelch and Jennifer Barron.  Seven Grandchildren Amanda (Jake), David, Justin, Eddie, Tommy, Dylan, and Henry. Edward Kuzio, 88, of Glassport died Saturday August 24, 2019. He is the son of the late Francis and Rose (Dworek) Kuzio. He was preceded in death by his wife Claire Celesky. Edward is survived by his daughter Nicole Kuzio and his sister Theresa (Tessie) Richards. He was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters. Nicholas J. DiLucente, age 66, of West Mifflin, died Thursday, August 22, 2019.  He was born in Braddock on January 7, 1953 and is the son of Carmela DiNinno DiLucente and the late Joseph DiLucente.  He was employed at US Steel Irvin Works Local #2227 in West Mifflin. He was a loving husband and father who dedicated his life to taking care of his family. From listening to his transistor radio as a youth to his love of satellite radio through his Sonos speaker, “Fee” was an ardent music lover.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Paczak DiLucente; sons, Joseph (Stefani) DiLucente of Irwin and Dominick DiLucente of West Mifflin; granddaughter, Scarlett; sisters, Patty (George Jr.) Shaw of Murrysville and Linda DiLucente of Glassport; He is the uncle and Godfather of George III and Taylor Shaw; Also his beloved cat, Bella, who would never leave his side.

Charles Joseph Emert was born March 3, 1933 and passed on August 21, 2019 at Mt. Vernon of South Park. Chuck graduated from Central Catholic High School and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He also went to the University of Utah where he received a master’s degree in science. Chuck could tell you anything you wanted to know about the Periodic Table. He was a nuclear physicist at Bettis Atomic Power Lab where he built nuclear reactors for submarines. He retired in 2001 due to family complications. He spent his free time as a cantor at St. Isaac Jogues Church and was a photographer for their services like Communion and confirmations. He was an avid photographer, a great chef, and an astronomer. Chuck leaves behind a loving family including his wife, Mary Ann Emert, his stepchildren, step-grandchildren, nephews, and some close family friends. Visitation will be at the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth, on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 10 AM until the time of a blessing service at 11 AM with Fr. Bud Falkenhan officiating. Bonner, 75, of Sewickley Township, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019.  She was born in McKeesport, Pa., a daughter of the late Carl and Ruth Beltz.  Carole was a graduate of McKeesport High School and owner of her beauty shop in her house in Port Vue.  Her and her husband, Thomas, were foster parents for 10 years.  She loved walking at Indian Lake in the summer and riding on the mower cutting grass and was a member of SOAR US Steel.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Renee Bonner; brothers, Carl Jr. and William Beltz.  She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas Bonner; sons, Thomas D. Bonner Jr. and his fiancee, Andrea; two grandchildren, Leah Marie Bonner and Venessa Ballough; and five great-grandchildren.  She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Judy Mollozzi; brother-in-law, Dr. Ronald Bonner and his wife, Diane and their sons, Jason and Joshua; numerous nieces and nephews, Paula, Dean, Mark, Melissa, Jennifer and Carl.  Friends will be received on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. at the James W.
