Keith was a self-employed plumber. He attended First Evangelical Free Church of McKeesport. Keith was a hardworking, fun-loving son, father, and friend. He had the biggest heart and was always willing to lend an ear or a hand.

Robin Ruffin was born on November 19, 1965 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Roy Johnson, Sr. and her beloved mother, Lavelle Cook-Campbell. She peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at home. She was also preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents, and nephew Sherrod Johnson.

Robin, a graduate of Wilkinsburg High School, was a fun and loving person. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She spent most of her life working in Childcare. Robin loved children. She treasured educating them and planning fun activities for them to do. A woman of true wisdom, she loved to read and write poetry.

Mary Almetta Singleton–Randall

Mary Almetta Singleton–Randall was born on September 6, 1932 in Blythedale, Pa., to the late Joseph and Chosie Helena-Edwards Stoutamire. She triumphantly gained her wings and slipped peacefully away on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at UPMC East Hospital a few days after celebrating her 88th birthday.

Almetta, as she was known by many, held various jobs during her working career in Pennsylvania and Maryland utilizing her many talents which included workings as an accountant at Cox’s Department Store, McKeesport PA.  Years later, she utilized her great culinary skills as a cook at the University of Maryland in College Park Maryland (UMPC), where she retired in late 1990.

McKeesport was home for Almetta which is where she returned after her retirement from UMCP to care for her only sister Anna Long, who precedes her in death. She attended Ebenezer Baptist Church in Blythedale and Christ Temple AME Church in McKeeport PA.

Andrew Justin Larson, 29, West Palm Beach, Fl, formerly of North Versailles, passed away Monday, September 14, 2020. He was born November 14, 1990 in Pittsburgh and was the son of Harry A. "Howie" (Sharon) Larson of East McKeesport and Cheryl A. (Greg) Chronowski Berko of North Versailles. Andrew graduated from East Allegheny High School in 2009 and served in The US Air Force at Sheppard Air Force Base for almost 2 years. Andrew worked as a contractor doing home remodels, he also enjoyed working out, skydiving, snorkeling and pool & billiards. He was known as an avid cook and grillmaster as well. He loved his motorcycle and had plans to go to Palm Beach Bike Night and Bike Week. Most importantly, he loved his children more than words can say.

Our beloved mother, Arvilla Mae Johnson was born September 22, 1926 and through her almost 94 years, she has been a Godly mentor to not only her children but everyone she met.  On September 15, 2020 she went to the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.  Daughter of James and Florence Williams.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Frank Johnson Jr.; brothers, James Williams Jr., Richard Williams, Robert Williams; sister, Sara (Betty) Johnson and Mary Ann Henderson.  Surviving are her children, Frank (Carolyn) Johnson III, Paul (Rebecca) Johnson, Carol (Donald) Hart; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Lois Friedline.  Friends will be received from 10-11:30 a.m. on Monday at the Open Door Baptist Church, 970 N. Main Street, Greensburg, with a funeral service to follow.  Interment will be private in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sun Crest Hospice, 4075 Monroeville Blvd., Suite 210, Monroeville, PA  15146.   Arrangements were made by the James W. L. James Auberle, 92, of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020.  He was born July 19, 1928 in McKeesport, a son of the late Logan Mains and Lillie Mae (Davis) Auberle.  Prior to his retirement, James was a manager for Bell Telephone for 42 years, a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Korean War Era, and a member of Mary, Mother of God Catholic Church, McKeesport.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed bowling, golfing and fishing.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Joseph Auberle.  He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Mary (Savona) Auberle; son, Dr. James Auberle; daughter, Karen Hathcock and her husband, Rick; sister, Donna;  grandchildren, Melissa (Jacob) Studer, Christine Auberle; great-grandson, Jackson Asher.  Services are private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary, Mother of God Parish, McKeesport in memory of James.  Arrangements made by the James W. Arnetha Lee Sallie

Arnetha Lee Sallie was born on June 15, 1924, and raised in Monongahela, PA. She was the loving daughter of the late Robert Lee and Lucinda Mitchell. Arnetha departed this life on September 7, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sallie, Sr., brother, Sylvester Lee, and sister, Dorothy Hawley.  

Arnetha resided in McKeesport, PA.  She graduated from LaSalle University with an Associate’s degree and worked as a CPA.  She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church until 2004, at which time she relocated to Las Vegas to live with her daughter after her husband James passed away.  She loved sitting for hours reading her books and cards that her children and grandchildren sent to her.  Another one of her joys was celebrating holidays, birthdays and just being with her family. She had been trying to get back home ever since she left McKeesport.  Now we can say that sixteen years later she “Finally Made it Home.”

Helen McGrew of N. Huntingdon passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 15, 2020.  She was born in McKeesport, preceded in death by her husband, Findley McGrew.  She was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Helen was a homemaker and was known in the family as “the best cookie baker ever”! More than anything, she cherished her family.  She enjoyed doing volunteer work for the Norwin YMCA in her 70’s.  She was also a faithful supporter of St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Boystown.  She loved working in her huge yard and maintaining it all by herself up until the age of 82.  She mowed the lawn and did all the shrubbery trimming.

She is survived by three daughters, Deborah (Raymond) Dirjan, Donna (Gus) Bricker and Shirley Hindman; five grandsons, Christopher (Amy) Findura, Gregory (Stephanie) McCullough, Robert (Tara) Hindman, Richard (Kelly) Hindman, and Anthony (Kristin) Dirjan.  She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Stephen Gary Murray, 66, beloved son of Dolly Rollfeller was born June 30, 1954, in McKeesport, PA.  Stephen departed this life September 8, 2020, at St. Margaret’s Hospital. He was preceded in death by his adopted parents Stephen and Violet Dorsey.  

Stephen grew up in McKeesport, PA that was a tight-knit community where he was able to enjoy his community, family, and friends. He later moved to Wilkinsburg, PA  where he made his home. Stephen was the Owner-Operator of Imperial Coach Limousine Company. He was a proud entrepreneur and was dedicated to each of his businesses.  He enjoyed his Restaurant & Catering business and the constant smiles that lit up each clients face. He took pride in knowing that he had deliciously satisfied, each client "palate", yet nothing could ever compare to the smile and delight, that he loved to see crossing; daughter Stephanie's face immediately after preparing her favorite dishes. 

Stephen believed that:  "The ears hearing something is not as good as the eyes seeing it; The eye's seeing it is not as good as the foot's treading upon it; the foot's treading upon it, is not as good as the hands differentiating it" (Shuoy Yuan).  He felt taking someone by the hand and teaching them step by step, would prepare them to soar an entire lifetime. He became a member of the "Big Whip Riders Club"  he was able to enjoy his love for travel, trucks, and cars. Although he appreciated and liked them all, his favorite remained: "antique cars".
