Beloved wife of 61 years to the late William A. "Willie" Marino, Sr.; mother of William A. (Jeanne) Marino, Jr. of East Springfield, PA, Marilyn Marino of West Mifflin and Robert A. Marino of Port Vue, PA; grandmother of Angela (Mark) Barsotti, Anthony Marino, Jason (Sarah) Pastor, late Todd (surviving spouse Tracy) Pastor, William "Willie" Marino, Stephen (fiancée Alex) Barncord and the late Robert Barncord; great-grandmother of Dean and Reed Barsotti, twins, Tristan and Ethan Pastor and Mia Pastor; sister of Al Nicolosi and Sandy Bucaria, both of New Jersey.  VICTOR C. "CHARLIE" BOYTOSVICTOR C. "CHARLIE" BOYTOS age 25, of West Mifflin, on December 20, 2017, as a result of a construction accident. Beloved son of Victor G. and Karen (Sloss) Boytos of West Mifflin. He was a carpenter and a heavy highway construction worker. He was a member of Laborers Union in Pittsburgh. He was a graduate of West Mifflin High School Class of 2011. Besides his parents, he is survived by his sisters and brother, Angeline (Jon) Stajger of North Huntingdon, Abby Boytos of West Mifflin and Dylan Boytos of West Mifflin; uncle of Liliana and Ella Stajger; grandson of Charles and Juanita Sloss of West Mifflin and the late Victor and Angeline Boytos. She was born December 3, 1936 in Tiffin, OH, and was the daughter of the late Milo and Leola (Price) Cramer. Barbara was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenock, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Somerset, and the Eastern Star.

She was also a member and past president of Elizabeth Forward Education Association. Barbara was an Elementary School Teacher for the Elizabeth Forward School District and had taught at the Greenock and Elizabeth Elementary Schools. She is survived by her husband, Dale M. Smith, son, Bradley M. Smith of Scottsdale, AZ, daughters, Kelly L. (Jon) Kruper of Jones Mills, and Lori J. (John) Schwerzler of McMurray, grandchildren, Megan, Madison and Mackenzie, brother-in-law, Dr. Raymond B. (Mary Lynne) Smith of Longboat Key, FL, nieces and a nephew.

Born April 15, 1928, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Magdalena (Kijowski) Szalankiewicz and the wife of the late Angelo Tarli, who died August 6, 2004. She first worked at the former Crown Chocolate Company, with 6 years of service and then at Dorothy's Candies with 31 years of creating sweet delights. She was a member of the Holy Family Polish National Catholic Church. She was one of the founders of the Port Vue Legionette Drill Team. She was a member of the Port Vue Seniors, Port Vue Auxiliary Unit 447, Glassport Seniors and Spojnia 132 Polish National Union. She is survived by her children, Diane Jo James-Baran of Port Vue, Alfred Piekielek of Rossiter, PA and Cindi (Robert) Elm of McKeesport; former daughter-in-law, Debbie Piekielek of White Oak, step-children, Barbara (Doug) Bannon of Elizabeth and Carol Prior of Lakeland, FL; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph, Edward "Scratchy" and Helena Szalankiewicz; stepson Anthony Tarli; daughter-in-law, Connie Piekielek.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, December 21, 2017, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. A blessing will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017, in the funeral home chapel followed by Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at Holy Family Polish National Catholic Church, with Rev. Bruce Sleczkowski as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Holy Family Polish National Catholic Cemetery. Stephen Baran, 96 of Glassport died Dec. 19, 2017.  He is the husband of the late Genevieve Baran.  He is survived by his daughter Eleanor (Pat) O'Hara of West Mifflin; son Stephen Baran of Bear Rocks; grandsons Stevie Baran, Sean O'Hara, Adam O'Hara and Aaron O'Hara and granddaughter Lindsay Zeiler; great grandsons Stephen and Andrew and brother Paul Baran.  Stephen was retired from US Steel Irvin Works, a member of Queen of the Rosary Parish, American Legion in Clairton and served in the US Navy.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport Thurs. 3-7.  A funeral blessing will be held Fri. 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Father Miroslaus Wojcicki.  Interment following New St. Joseph Cemetery.

Helen (Nolfi) Sovich, 80, of Glassport passed away at Southwestern Nursing facility.  She was a faithful and devoted wife of 63 years to her surviving husband Richard Sovich; most loving mother to her son Richard (Becky) Sovich, Jr. and daughter Shelly (Steve) Gilligan and most loving grandmother to Erick Sovich.  She is also survived by her sister Mary(Arthur) Cipriani, sister-in-law Patricia Nolfi and other extended family, nieces and nephews.  She was the proud daughter of  Italian immigrants Eligio and Adele Nolfi.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her twin brother Dr. E. James Nolfi, brother Del Nolfi and sister Lena Dacquisto.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport Thurs. 2-4 and 6-8.  A funeral mass will be held Fri. 10:00 am at Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church in Clairton.  Interment following Ascension Cemetery.
