Carl Allan Griffith, age 63 of South Park and formerly of Port Vue, passed away at his daughter's home surrounded by his family on Friday, April 6, 2018.  Born September 11, 1954 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Harry L. and Katherine (Rodehaver) Griffith.  The owner/operator of Griffith Auto Sales and Neighborhood Dollar Store, both in McKeesport, Carl also worked as the head body man at John Naretto Buick and White Oak and Bowser Pontiac and also as an insurance adjuster.

James E. Goldsworthy, 53 of Elizabeth died April 4, 2018.  He is the son of the late Ernest and Marilyn Schwirian.  He is survived by his children Justin (Amber Bound) Goldsworthy, Nicole (Mike Jackson) Goldsworthy, Jessica Goldsworthy and Jerred (Carly Hindman) Goldsworthy; his beloved granddaughters Taylor and Braelyn Jackson; brother Ernest Schwirian and cousins Jerry (Joanne) Wirbicki and Randi (Tommy Carr) Reed.  James was a very proud grandfather who loved spending time with his grandbabies.  He also loved cooking, fishing and playing cards.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport, Wed. 6-8, at which time a funeral service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wojciechowski Funeral Home.

James “Jim” Kenneth Burge, 92, of Clairton passed away at home on Saturday, April 7, 2018.  He was born January 8, 1926, in Clairton, to the late James and Elizabeth Long Burge.  Jim was a loving husband, for 67 years, to his late wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Demis Burge, who passed away in 2015.  He is survived by sons, James (Jane) M. Burge, Paul A. Burge, both of Clairton; daughter Barbara (Mark) A. Murray of Clairton; grandchildren, Mary (Jeff) Trott, Anne (Jerome Ramsey) Burge, Christianna Murray; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Jakob, Noah, Ian, and Sofie.  Along with his parents and spouse, Jim was preceded in death by brothers, Adrian “Dutch”, Robert, William; sisters, Esther MacNicol and Edna Lees. He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton, a graduate of Clairton High School, served his country in the Armed Guard Service of the US Navy during WWII on the Merchant Marine ship The SS Jonathon Worth, enjoyed Clairton High School football, frequenting the coffee shop to socialize, and spending quiet days at home.  Visitation and service will be private at S. M. PALKO 75, of Munhall, formerly of West Mifflin & Duquesne, died on April 4, 2018, at the home of her daughter, Jodi.  She was born on March 9, 1943, in Pittsburgh, to the late Paul & Della (Gaca) McGrail. She was the wife of the late Stephen J. Palko, Jr. She is survived by children Marci (Mark Provident) Palko, of West Mifflin, Jodi (Chris) Thomas of South Park, Stacie Fagan (Tom Yuhas) of West Mifflin; grandchildren Quinn Palko, Cody (fiance, Katie Flaugh) Fagan, Luke Fagan, Owen &  Keagan Provident, and Logan & Erica Thomas, sister of Larry (Sherry) McGrail of Peters Township. There is no visitation. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Hedwig Church of Christ the Light of the World Parish on Monday, April 9, 2018, 10 am with the Rev. Thomas Lewandowski officiating.  Private family burial will be held at St. Hedwig Cemetery, West Mifflin.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph Retirement Fund, 1020 State St., Baden PA 15005. Isabella (Pearson) Thompson, 84, of Palmyra, Virginia went home to be with her Lord on Easter morning, Sunday, April 1, 2018. She was born in Homeville, Pennsylvania on April 15, 1933 to the late George H. and Dorothy (Lingertot) Pearson. Isabella grew up in Dravosburg, Pennsylvania, Where she graduated from McKeesport High School in 1951. She married the love of her life, the late Thomas Cowan Thompson of Glassport on May 16, 1952 at the First Methodist Church in Glassport. They were married for 60 years and resided in Elizabeth Township. After raising her four sons, Isabella began a career in banking and eventually retired as a bank officer for Three Rivers Bank. She was baptized at the Riverview Baptist Church of McKeesport in 1962, but continued following her love of Anglican Worship throughout her life. Most recently, she attended the Christ Anglican Fellowship Church in Orange, Virginia. Her favorite Bible verses were Philippians 4: 6-7. Isabella and Thomas had a love for travel and visited Nova Scotia, Bermuda, Israel and Alaska after retirement.
