Claudia E. Cowalsh, age 80 of Port Vue, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Riverside Nursing Center in McKeesport. Born August 20, 1937 in Duquesne, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Sara (Kukic) Begovich. A former cook at Pauley's Lookout and cashier at G.C. Muphy's and Co., Claudia was preceded in death by her husband, John N. Cowalsh, and a daughter Denise Swiger, who passed away July 4, 2015.

Saundra Lee (Elder) Wallace, 68 of White Oak, died Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Southwestern Nursing Center. She was born May 1, 1950 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise Helen Fazekas Elder. She was Past Matron of Old Glory Chapter 270, Past Mother Advisor of Old Glory 139 and Elizabeth Assembly 120 of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls. She was an avid Pirates fan, loved to cook especially for friends and loved to crochet. She is survived by her three children and their families, nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be no services at this time.

Jeanne Rae (Rogers) MacDougall, a resident of Wilmington, Vermont passed away December 17, 2017 at her home. Jeanne was born in McKeesport, PA on May 7, 1942 the daughter of the late George and Jessie (Black) Rodgers. Jeanne was preceded in death by her late husband, Alan Miles MacDougall and her parents. She attended McKeesport High School and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Pittsburgh. Upon graduation, Jeanne worked for the United States State Department in Washington DC and retired to Wilmington VT. She was very civically involved in Wilmington helping the Deerfield Valley Food Pantry, Friends of Historic Memorial Hall, a member of the Brattleboro Woman’s Chorus, and attended her beloved St. Mary’s In-The-Mountains Episcopal Church. Jeanne was a world traveler, was a renowned instructor in Scottish Highland Country Dancing, and loved all things Scottish. She is survived by cousins Linda Eminson and her husband Thomas and their daughter Dawn Svor all of Round Rock, TX, Agnus Oskin of North Huntington, Alvin Oskin of Jeanette, Diana Scott of White Oak, James Orr of Murrysville and other cousins in Ohio, Florida, Washington State and Pennsylvania. A committal service for Jeanne will be held on June 9h at 11:00 AM at McKeesport-Versailles Cemetery.

Doris “Dee Dee” Hamilton, age 63 of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 11, 1954, one of six children of Donald H. and Mary Lou (Ray) Hamilton. Dee Dee was an active member of the Duquesne Family Support Center and an avid volunteer and supporter of Duquesne youth athletics.
She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her 10 children, Daniel Hamilton, Glen Hamilton, Olive (Scott Hatten) Hamilton, Kevin Hamilton, Derrick Hamilton, Amanda Davis, Crystal Smith, Meredith Smith, Victoria Smith and Donnie Smith; 30 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 5 siblings, Patricia Leatherwood, Donald A. Hamilton, Gloria Hamilton, Mary Carman and Jacqueline Mehrmann.
