John Dominic “J. D.” Sorrentino, 62, of Clairton, passed away at AHN Jefferson Hospital on Thursday, June 7, 2018.  He was born in McKeesport on July 5, 1955 to the late Joseph F. and Lillian Mancini Sorrentino.  John is survived by sister, Linda Medina of McKeesport; brothers, Joseph F. Sorrentino, Victor Sorrentino, Alfred Sorrentino, all of Glassport; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  John resided in Clairton his entire life, was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Church, enjoyed watching tv, and playing bingo. Family and friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at E. C. Lillian A. Sorrentino, 37, of Glassport, formerly of McKeesport, passed away at home on Thursday, June 7, 2018.  She was born in McKeesport on February 3, 1981 to Joseph F. Sorrentino and the late Barbara J. Cooper Sorrentino.  Along with her father, Lilly is survived by 2 brothers, Joseph Sorrentino and Carter J. Sorrentino both of Glassport; aunts, Linda Medina of McKeesport, Brenda Barret of Saltsburg; nieces, Lyndee Sorrentino of Glassport, Kelsea Sorrentino of Greensburg; and many cousins. Lillian enjoyed music, poker machines, magazines, and stuffed animals.  Family and friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at E. C. Dorothy A. DiTommaso, 87, of North Huntingdon, died Monday June 4, 2018. She was born October 22, 1930 in Trafford, the daughter of the late Marko and Mary (Fabijnac) Turkovich and was also preceded in death by her husband Angelo L. DiTommaso and a brother Paul Turkovich. Dorothy and her late husband Angelo co-founded the popular eatery Angelo’s Ristorante in 1956 on Rt. 30 in Irwin. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin, a former member of the Irwin Garden Club and belonged to several golf leagues. Cooking was her passion. Surviving are her children John M. (Sana) DiTommaso, Denise (Vince) Dalicandro, and Debbie (Robert) Huey; her grandchildren Christian Koury, and Angela and Alyssa Huey; and her great granddaughter Viviana Koury.

Arnold V. Plum, 90, of Elizabeth Township, died Tuesday, June  5, 2018. He was born February 16, 1928 in Versailles and was the son of the late Nicholas and Esther (Johnson) Plum. A life long resident of the McKeesport area, Arnold graduated from McKeesport High School and Muskingum College and then earned his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Prior to attending college, Arnold served as a Corporal in the US Army at the end of WWII. He later practiced law for 59 years, the last 30 of those years proudly with his daughter, Linda C. Plum. Arnold was a career member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and  American Bar Associations, and was inducted as a Fellow of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation. He served as chair of the Municipal and School Solicitors and Public Relations Committee, as well as a member of the Probate and Trust Law Section, Lawyers Insurance Committee and Arbitrator Fee Dispute Committee, all of the Allegheny County Bar Association.

George A. Wray, age 102, of Irwin, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018. He was born April 26, 1916 in Altoona, a son of the late James and Minnie Luemma (Heacox) Wray. He was a long-time member of New Hope Presbyterian Church in North Huntingdon where he served as an elder and on their property committee and was proud of his membership in the Norwin Men’s Prayer Fellowship. He was a World War II Army veteran that served in the 188th Combat Engineer Battalion attached to General Patton’s 4th Armored Division. He retired after 42 years as a production coordinator for Westinghouse Corporation in East Pittsburgh.
