Anthony M. Mulac, 86, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday September 6, 2018. He was born February 25, 1932 in Port Vue, a son of the late Daniel and Anna (Flanyak) Mulac and was also preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Mae Pickell, and brother Daniel Mulac. He was a proud U.S. Army Ranger Veteran that served during the Korean Conflict and he was retired of Bethlehem Mine, Marianna, PA. Anthony is survived by his children Susan (David) Petrulak of Jeannette, Sherry (Don) Acalotto of North Huntingdon, Patricia (J.R.) Acalotto of North Huntingdon, and Pamela (Bob) Beranek of Irwin; grandchildren Erica, Anthony, Kellie, Kristopher, Brianna, Leanndra, and Lindsay; and 8 great grandchildren.

Joyce M. Pozzuto, 80, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Christy Park,  passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at UPMC McKeesport Hospital.  She was born July 12, 1938 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late William and Genevieve Roeder.  Prior to her retirement, Joyce was an administrative assistant for MSA Credit Union and a member of St. Agnes Parish.  She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, playing games on her IPad and especially loved spending time with her family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred (Herky) Pozzuto; and brother, Bill Roeder.  She is survived by her son, Herky Pozzuto and his wife, Courtney; daughter, Michelle Locke and her husband, Russell; brother, Ed (Marilyn) Roeder; sister-in-law, Nana Roeder; grandchildren, Adam (Evie) Locke, Brandon (Gabriella) Locke, Nick Locke, Matt Pozzuto, Maria (Zac) Allan, Chris (Lauren) Pozzuto and Jake Pozzuto; and great-granddaughter, Eden Rose Allan.  Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-7 p.m. at the James W. Cecilia Marie (Forgie) Ditter, age 75, of North Huntingdon, formally of Turtle Creek passed away peacefully at Forbes Regional Hospital on Monday, September 3, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Robert Forgie and Lorraine (Forgie) Engleman. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church and former member of Penn Woods United Methodist before its closing. She worked at the Irwin Bank and Trust as the bank manager for over 20 years before retiring. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Miller. She is survived by her husband of over 56 years Donald “Don” F. Ditter, children Tammy (John) Blackwood of Rostraver and Donald R. “Dirt” (Dana) Ditter of Trafford; grandchildren Kolin and Megan Ditter; sister Anita (Robert) Minnix of Richmond, Virginia; brother Robert (Donna) Forgie of Turtle Creek; brother-in-law Tommy Miller; and many nieces and nephews especially Christopher and Carter Minnix who thought of her as “grandma”.

Oscar Benjamin Toth

Oscar Benjamin Toth, 95, of Elizabeth Township, died Wednesday, August  22, 2018 in UPMC McKeesport Hospital after a brief illness. He was born July 22, 1923 in New Castle and was the son of the late Paul and Esther (Gyori) Toth. He was the husband of the late Angeline (Ross) Toth. They were married November 22, 1945 and celebrated 65 years of marriage sharing their time and love with family and friends.

He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Elizabeth Township and was retired from US Steel Irvin Works. Oscar was a WWII Army Veteran. He entered the Army Air Corps on February 13, 1943 and served as a ball-turret gunner on a B-17. He completed 33 Missions in the European theater before being injured in combat. His last mission was on November 30, 1944, which prevented him from returning to active duty. He proudly served his country for 2 years 3 months and 27 days. For his service he received the Purple Heart with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters and the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon. Oscar retired from US Steel Irvin Works after 38 years of service and was highly regarded by his co-workers. He developed a love of the outdoors early in his youth and became an avid hunter and fisherman. He shared his love of the outdoors with his son and then with other family members and friends and was a positive role model to follow. He is survived by his son, Benjamin (Terri) Toth of Harrisville, daughters, Laura E. (Robert) Cabon of Elizabeth Township and Linda (William) Oliver of Mercer, grandchildren, Amy, Laural, Stephen, Stephanie, Adam and Benjamin, great-grandchildren, Paige, Brianna, Claire, Christopher, Lauren, Ellena, Henry, Jack, and Matthew, and nieces and nephews.

Robert “Bob” Lester Dearth Jr., 76, of North Huntingdon, previously of McKeesport, passed away at UPMC East in Monroeville Wednesday, September 5, 2018.  He was born December 30, 1941 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Robert L. Sr. and Helen Seymour Dearth.  Bob is survived by his loving wife, of 43 years, Stella L. Warnick DeSalvo Dearth; son, Richard DeSalvo of Irwin; daughter, Gina (Joseph) Herrera of Trafford; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Caitlin), Brandy, Kayla (Kevin); nieces, nephews; sister & brother in-laws, Dan & Sherry McDowell of Versailles; siblings, Bernard (Hilda) Dearth of Stoutsville, OH, Beverly Burroughs of Kingston, OH, Barbara (Edward) Halterman of Washington Court House, OH.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Bernice Fetters. Bob was a US Navy Veteran having served during the Vietnam War and the Cuban Missile Crisis.  He worked in the HVAC/Maintenance department at Carnegie Towers, enjoyed working and was a dog lover.  Arrangements have been entrusted to I. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 4th Street, Dravosburg,  PA  15034. Betty (Frantz) Davis, 97, of Upper St. Clair, formerly of Pleasant Hills, died Sunday, September 2, 2018. She was born May 8, 1921 in Clairton and was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Ann (Sharrocks) Frantz. She was the wife of the late Charles Allen Davis who died January 17, 2017. They were married for 69 years. Betty was a member of Hamilton Presbyterian Church and was a former member of Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority there. She taught school in the Clairton School District for 5 years and volunteered with Meals on Wheels for over 20 years. Betty enjoyed many things including dogs, baking, cooking, feeding the birds, book clubs, groups at church, and bridge clubs. Betty and her late husband Allen enjoyed their international experiences living in Valencia, Madrid and Bilbao. She is survived by her son, Allen (Connie) Davis of Greenville and daughter, Ann (Mark) South of North Huntingdon, grandson, Wesley (Rebecca) Davis and great-grandson, Samuel G. Davis of Fairfax, VA.
