Olive "Ollie" Jane Swackhammer, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2020. She was born May 7, 1938 to James and Viola Patterson in Pittsburgh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Swackhammer; brothers, Donald, John, Edward, Thomas; and sisters, Dorothy Mesko and Irene Lewis. She was the loving mother of Daniel Jr. (Barbara), Randy (Lydia), Jeffrey (Dawn), Tammy Harkovich, Keith (Debbie) Swackhammer and Tracey (John) Diroll. She was an endearing grandmother to Steven Swackhammer, JP Diroll, Jeffrey Swackhammer, Randy Swackhammer, Michelle Mandery, Timothy Swackhammer, Eric Bittner, Matthew Swackhammer, Samantha Duran, Sarah Harkovich, Hailey McLindon, Austin Diroll, Keith and Addison Swackhammer; and brother, James Patterson. She is survived by 16 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and her beloved Sweet Pea. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the James W. Elizabeth M. “Beth” Sabo age 97, of West Mifflin, on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at home. Daughter of the late Earl & Ann (Gwynn) Lloyd, she was the former owner of a ceramic business and a hairdresser and a member of Faith Lutheran Church in White Oak. She was the beloved wife of the late Stephen A. Sabo for 71 years ; mother of the late Gene Stephen Sabo; and sister of the late Thomas Lloyd, late William Lloyd and late Daisy Valiquette. She is survived by sister-in-law Charlotte (late John) Rezes; nephew John Rezes; niece Suzanne Koribanic; and grand nephew Brandon Schnelzer. Robert Michael Saunders, 67, died January 29, 2020 at home in McKeesport, Pa. Known affectionately as “Banjo,” he was born December 23, 1952 in Homestead, Pa.
He was the son of Taft Saunders and Elizabeth Krista and the third of five children. He was educated in the Homestead Public School System. As a young adult, Banjo would go on to work side jobs such as roofing and other small hands-on jobs. He also enjoyed acting. On April 2, 2002, Banjo married Mathilda Jones of Homestead.
Along with his brother Richard (Rick), he was seen in the movie “Dawn of the Dead,” where he would play a major role as a zombie.
A drummer who loved heavy metal rock, Banjo and his brother Rick joined several bands and performed at many shows and local venues, and was a devoted fan of pro wrestling.

Lula Mae Russ-Lennon, 95, daughter of the late William Henry and Queen Victoria Shaw Russ was born on May 10, 1924 in Council, North Carolina. She departed this life Tuesday, January 28, 2020 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, Doshia Drakewood and Lily B. Smith; siblings, Viola Beatty, Rather Larkins, Betsy, Willie, Cephus, Raymond, Chester and Joseph (Buster) Russ.
Lula came to Christ at an early age. She joined Kitchen Branch Church, Council, North Carolina and remained faithful there until she moved to Duquesne, Pennsylvania. There she was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church until she met and was married to James D. Lennon for 41 years. She later joined Macedonia Baptist Church.
While at Macedonia, she became a long-time member for over 70 years. She was President of the Pastor’s Aid Society, Kizzie Clemens Guild, and Gospel Chorus. She served as den mother for the Cub Scouts Pack 316. She also volunteered for over 20 years at Kane Regional Center in McKeesport, PA. She loved cooking for her family and baking for friends as well. She was noted for her Pineapple Upside Down and German Chocolate Cakes.
