George L. Glagola, 74, of North Huntingdon passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  He was born January 7, 1945 in Wilmington, DE, a son of the late George and Blanche (Nicholas) Glagola.  Prior to his retirement, George was a slicing technician for Verizon and a member of St. Agnes Parish.  He enjoyed playing softball, basketball and volleyball, and enjoyed listening to oldies music.  He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Virginia Logesky Glagola; son, George Glagola; daughters, Gia Sanders and her husband, Jay, Kristen Wassel; grandchildren, Caden and Sarah; and lifetime friend, Jim Barry.  Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Msgr. Sue Ann (Gobbel) O’Brien, age 79, of North Versailles, passed away peacefully at Concordia of Ridgewood Sunday, March 3, 2019. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years Dennis M. O’Brien. She was born in McKeesport on March 5, 1939 along with her identical twin sister Sandra Dee Danielson. They were known in McKeesport as “The Gobbel Twins”. They both graduated from McKeesport High School and were inseparable. It was common for people to mistake one for the other, which they both enjoyed. Sue Ann took great joy in caring for her husband and three children. She was competitive, athletic and stayed active throughout her life. She became a very good golfer in her 50’s and played as often as she could while battling Alzheimer’s.

She was a member of St. Patrick Church, McKeesport, where she was an usher and an adult volunteer in the youth group. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, William T. Nola of North Huntingdon, Neal (Lisa) Nola of Monroeville;  sister, Geraldine (Gary) Roberts of Asheville, Georgia; brother, Leland Sharpe, also of Asheville, Georgia; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Raymond Nola.

Eleanor was born April 9, 1933 in Duquesne  and was the daughter of the late Stephan and Mary (Sabol) Andrejcak.    She was wife of 31 years to the late Frederick W. "Bud" Hecker, Jr., who passed away June 25, 2018.  Toots, as she was also known, graduated from Duquesne High School in 1951 and worked in retail sales at Kaufman's, Gimbel's and Sak's for over 40 years. Loving sales work, she was a friend and blessing to all. She was an active member of St. Angela Merici Parish and also lived in Naples and Celebration, Fl with her late husband Bud.
