Carol Sue Santone, age 77 of Port Vue, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at home.   Born October 14, 1943 in Dravosburg, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Laura Mae (Lutz) Newton.  Carol loved crafts, music, and spending time with family and friends at her family cottage.  Carol was preceded in death by her husband, the late Patrick E. Richard A. Wilson, 80, died Jan. 17, 2021.  He is the son of the late Albert and Mary (Marcus) Wilson and beloved husband of the late Wilma (Kania) Wilson.  Richard is survived by his sons Richard (Cheryl) Wilson, Dave (Sharon) Wilson, Eric (Melissa) Wilson and Chris (Teresa) Wilson; step daughters Samantha and Katrina Miller; grandchildren Sean and Hannah Wilson and Bailey and Ellie Maskil; brothers John Wilson, Danny Wilson, and Al Wilson and sister Mildred Liebel. He was preceded in death by brother Bill Wilson. Richard was retired from US Steel Irvin Works.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Wed. from 2-4 and 6 to 7:30 at which time a blessing will be held.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth and a social member of the Elizabeth and Blaine Hill Fireman’s Clubs. Born October 8, 1929 in Elizabeth, he was a son of the late Lindo and Helen (Romanski) Moresea and husband of the late Janet Ann (McKown) Moresea who passed away December 19, 2020. He is survived by his son, Michael L. (Tammi) Moresea of Beaver Falls; and grandsons, Jacob D. and Michael L. Moresea.

Dennis P. “Denny” Malloy, age 68, of Gibsonia, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021. Born in Carlisle, PA on August 22, 1952, he was the son of Norma J. (Ganczak) Malloy of Duquesne and the late Francis M. “Sonny” Malloy. He was retired from Port Authority where he was head of subway maintenance and was a member of St. Richard Church in Gibsonia. He enjoyed going to his cottage in Pymatuning, enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, talk radio & spending time with the people he loved especially his grandchildren Dawson C. and Brody P. Boyer. He proudly served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Besides his mother, he is survived by his former wife, Carmen Malloy and was happily together with Meghan Palmer. He was the father of Melanie Marie (Malloy) Boyer of Wexford, Hannah P. Malloy of Wexford and Sean M. Malloy of Lawrenceville; grandfather of Dawson C. and Brody P. Boyer; brother of Paul (Janice K.) Malloy of Munhall, Sharon McCracken of West Mifflin and Patrick A. Malloy of Duquesne. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Andres, Diana, Brittany, Mariajose, Juan Felipe, Jose Miguel, Anna Victoria and Isabella.

Phillip J. Spinosi, age 92, of White Oak, died January 17, 2021, at home. Born September 7, 1928, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Julius and Rose (Borrelli) Spinosi and the husband of the late Mary T. Spinosi.

Phillip retired from US Steel National Tube Works, where he was a rigger with 44 years of service. He was a US Navy veteran serving during WWII, where he was the quarterback of the Navy football team in Pensacola, FL. Phillip was a member of the Mary, Mother of God Parish.

James Fedasz

James Fedasz, age 94, of McKeesport, died January 15, 2021, at Canterbury Place.  Born February 19, 1926, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Harry and Anna (Tech) Fedasz.  Jim was a 1944 graduate of McKeesport High School and furthered his education at Carnegie Tech (Carnegie Mellon University).  He would then go on to join the Army, 103rd Division in France during World War II. 

He earned the EAME Theater Ribbon with two Bronze Battle Stars, the Army Occupation of Germany Medal, Victory Ribbon, and a Good Conduct Medal.  He fought significant battles in Central Europe & The Rhineland alongside the French First Army and French Moroccan Soldiers and was also an Honor Guard for General Patton.  Using the GI Bill he earned, Jim enrolled at the North West School of Neon (Oregon Polytechnic Institute) to learn the craft. 

Once back home in McKeesport, he had his own one-man neon sign shop on Walnut Street in McKeesport, and his neon signs could be found at businesses and schools throughout the area. 

Jim was a talented artist and was a member of the McKeesport Art Group.  He loved to paint and sculpt with wood and bronze, and his painting of the B&O Crossing (in McKeesport) and sculpture of the SS McKeesport are in the permanent collection at the McKeesport Heritage Center. 

At home, his garden became another canvas for his artistic talents.  Using different colors and textures of grasses, Jim created his last name in letters large enough to be seen from a helicopter.   He was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, Corpus Christi Church, where he was an usher.  As an avid duckpin bowler, his artistry with the ball was apparent, bowling numerous 300 games.

Michael P. Carnahan, age 51, of Mt. Vernon, died January 13, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport. Born December 27, 1969, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late David E. and Mary Jane (Matuschek) Carnahan and the husband and best friend of Sandra (Buotte) Carnahan.

Michael was vice-president and general manager of Scalo Solar Solutions, a division of Burns & Scalo Roofing. He most recently completed the installation of the largest single sloped solar structure in the United States, located at Mill 19 in Hazelwood.

She helped to manage McCracken Oldsmobile in Elizabeth for 30 years with her husband and son. Born May 12, 1928 in Elizabeth, she was a daughter of the late John and Helen (Bonno) Jenkins and wife of the late William G. “Bill” McCracken. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, William C. "Bill" McCracken, and brother, Thomas Jenkins. James Berwick was the loving husband of 36 years to Irene L. Curry Berwick. He is survived by his sons Jimmer (Lisa) Berwick of Greenville, Tim (Isabel) Cotero of Buena Vista, and daughter Wendy (Scott) Wampler of Frederick Maryland, grandchildren Kirsty Lee Berwick of Greenville, Douglas Wampler of Squirrel Hill, and Ryan J. Catherine "Kay" Vukovich, age 92 of Clairton, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in Jefferson Hospital.  Born June 23, 1928 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Dokman) Vukovich.  A retired secretary for Westinghouse Corporation, Catherine was a member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Clare of Assisi Church.  She is survived by her sister-in-law Dorothy Vukovich, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.  Besides her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her brother Frank M. Vukovich, sisters Mary Markle and Nellie Vukovich, and Chris Markle.
