William “Bill” Fekety, age 68 of Clairton, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.  He was born on August 1, 1953, one of two children of William Eugene Fekety, Sr. and Barbara Ellen (King) Fekety.

Bill was a graduate of Clairton High School class of 1971.  He served in the U. S. Air Force as a communications specialist retiring after 20 years of service.  During his military service he served in Germany and Belgium. After his military career, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Gabriele “Gabi” (Probst) Fekety; two daughters, Michele (Guenter) Hoffmann of Bliealf, Germany and Nicole (Bryan) Harbin of Charlotte, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Kai and Nora Hoffmann and Ayla and Hayden Harbin; his sister, Donna Julian of Clairton and nieces, nephews and cousins.  Bill is also survived by his “third” child, neighbors, Tabitha and Sam Ziegler and many In-Laws and extended family in Germany.

A Memorial reception for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 3 – 5 pm in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com. A Memorial Service and celebration of his life will be held at 5 pm in the funeral home.  His cousin, Reverend Judi Slater will officiate the service.

His family suggests donations in his name be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation www.jdrf.org.
