Vincent C. Witkowski, 56, of West Mifflin died suddenly on Friday, August 3, 2018. Born in Braddock, April 20, 1962, he was the son of Florence (Czaplinski) and the late Henry R. Witkowski. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Raymond and Anthony Witkowski, and two sisters, Mary Ann Seibel and Bernadette Grimes. Vince was an employee of the maintenance department of Kennywood Amusement Park in West Mifflin. All services were private. Arrangements were in charge of William S. Skovranko Memorial Home.

Klement E. Segina, 80, of West Mifflin died Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born in Duquesne, November 30, 1937, he was the son of the late Joseph S. and Irene A. (Polivka) Segina. Mr. Segina was a retired employee of the former U. S. Steel Corp., Duquesne Works, and the McKees Rocks Forging Company. He proudly served his country in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. Beloved husband of the late Gloria (Stout) Segina, he is survived by three sons, Gregory (Lisa) Segina, Michael (Kathy) Segina, and Jason (Heather) Segina, a brother, Joseph (Nancy) Segina; eight grandchildren, Katie Bisuti, Felicia Saket, Dillon Boggs, Emily Saxon, Connor Segina, Tyler Axon, Gunner Segina, and Ares Segina; and one great grandson, Braden Bisuti.

Per Mr. Segina's wishes, there will be no visitation and all services are private. Arrangements are in charge of William S. Skovranko Memorial Home.

Helen E. (Urban) Obranovich, 93, of West Mifflin died peacefully on Monday, August 6, 2018 in Kane Regional, McKeesport. Born on February 28, 1925, in Duquesne. She was the daughter of the Late Joseph and Helen (Rohal) Urban. Mrs. Obranovich was a faithful member of SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne, and former employee of Westinghouse and the former U.S. Steel National Tube Works. She also was a member of the Parish Club of SS. Peter & Paul, it's Rosary Society, a former Choir member, and former member of The Duquesne Annex Senior Citizens.

Born in McKeesport, July 13, 1941, he was the son of the late Edward  and Olga (Gonchar) Guzewicz. Mr. Guzewicz was a member of Christ, Light of the World Church, Duquesne, The Knights of Columbus Council # 4210, The AARP Bowling League Chapter 3172, and an avid bowler. He was a retired Craneman of the former US Steel Corp. Duquesne Works and proudly served his country in the US Army. Beloved husband of Donna (Lamanna) Guzewicz; he is also survived by his loving daughter, Diane and her husband, Danny Sims of Cincinnati, OH; and a brother, George and his wife, Jenny Guzewicz of Palm City, FL.

She is the beloved mother of Sr. Mary Ann Fatula, O.P., Bill (Mary Jean) Fatula, Mike (Late Barbara) Fatula, Rita (Don) Moldovan, and Dave (Faustyna) Fatula. She is also survived by seven treasured grandchildren, nine beloved great-grandchildren, and loving nieces and nephews. Mom was the Lord's precious gift to us. Her deep Catholic faith, her sweet and gracious temperament, her kind, peaceful disposition, and her gentle loving ways made her the very heart and soul of our family and a joy to all who knew her.

Mrs. Hart was a member of the Homeville Christian Church, the Homeville Fire Hall Women's Auxiliary, and a dedicated employee of Conrad's Catering with 29 years of service. Beloved wife of William "Murph"  Hart, she is also survived by her loving children, Barbara (James) Dorney, Kathleen Koval, and Mark  T. Hart; seven grandchildren, a great- granddaughter, Harper, and a sister, Juanita (Late Charles) Sloss.

Lois Ann Amiano, 63, born January 13, 1955 passed away unexpectedly on May 29,2018. She was met by her parents Charles & Lois (Scott) Amiano, her brother Charles J. (Chuckie) Amiano, and her beloved pet Kirby. She leaves behind her three daughters Eva West, Courtney (Michael) DeVinney, and Marissa (Joe Thompson) Broadus. She was known affectionately as Ma, MeeMaw, and Gammie by her six grandchildren Michael West, Dylan Thompson, Ava Amiano, Joseph Thompson III, Vivienne DeVinney, and Audrey Thompson. Aside from her girls and grandchildren she leaves behind her three sisters, Linda Eiler, Shirley Amiano, Susan Hudson, and a brother Craig Amiano along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was loved immensely by her girls as she was an amazing and caring mother. She loved her grandchildren fiercely and spoiled them rotten. She was always supportive, smiling, joking, and doing her best to lighten the mood. She will forever be missed and treasured. Friends received, Monday, June 4, 2018, from 4-7 with a prayer service to follow in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home,  828 Richford St., Duquesne, PA.

Charles P. "Chick" Sloss, 89, of West Mifflin, died peacefully on Friday, May 11, 2018 in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born in Duquesne, May 19, 1928, he was the son of the late Edward and Violet (Morgan) Sloss. Mr. Sloss was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish, Duquesne, a retired employee of the Fisher Body Plant of General Motors and the Union Rail Road Company. Mr. Sloss was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Bickus Sloss, four daughters, Cheryl (Larry) Stefan, Beverly (John) Seba, Karen  Boytos and Nita (Richard) Ignat, all of West Mifflin; a brother, Thomas Sloss, fifteen grand children and twenty-four great grandchildren.

Our family have found ourselves humbled by the outpouring of love, support, and prayers we have received from all. They have been heard and appreciated. Mrs. Cmar was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin, The Confraternity of Christian Mothers, K of C Senior Citizens, K of C 4210 Auxiliary, Duquesne Annex Senior Citizens, and a graduate of Mason/Frederick Beauty School. She was the beloved wife of the Late Joseph B. Cmar. This year they would have celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary. She is survived by their loving daughters, Eileen (Patrick) Bridge of Forest Hills, Joanne (David) Jordan of Port Vue, and Mary Lou (Charles) Mahoney of West Mifflin, eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, and lifelong friend Dorothy Stringer. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Szabo and Mary Ann Cohen.

Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne and a former school crossing guard in West Mifflin. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest L. Seech. She is survived by a son, Ernest (Wendy) Seech of West Mifflin, and two granddaughters, Delainy and Emily. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah A. Seech, and three brothers, William, Edward and Michael Girovsky.

Frank Joseph (Big Poe) Pulkownik, 79, of Wind Ridge, passed away on January 27, 2018. Frank was born October 3, 1938 in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Frank and Sophia (Tereletsky) Pulkownik, of Duquesne. Frank served as a Heavy Truck Driver in the US Army from 1958-1961.  After his military service, Frank protected his community for 23 years as a Police officer for the city of Duquesne.  After leaving the Police Force, Frank worked as a laborer with Mastech until his retirement. Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching his grandsons participate in sporting events. Frank is survived by his former wife, Joanne Patrick of Munhall; two sons, John Pulkownik of Castle Shannon, and Joe Pulkownik of Munhall; two grandsons, Dylan and Logan Pulkownik of West Mifflin; and a brother, Bill (Jeanne) Pulkownik of Wind Ridge, along with several nieces and nephews.

Maria Elizabeth (Bajus) Heddleston

Maria Elizabeth (Bajus) Heddleston, 42, is now with the Lord, after her 7-year battle of stage four breast cancer, on January 22, 2018 in Pittsburgh, PA. 

Maria was born August 28, 1975 in Pittsburgh, PA to Donald and Mary Louise Bajus.  She was a 1993 graduate of Steel Valley High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Edinboro University in 1997.  She also earned a Master’s of Education from Slippery Rock in 2003.  In 2008, she became a National Board Certified Teacher and recently became recertified in December of 2017.  She was very active in St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Munhall.  Maria married Brian Heddleston in November of 2001.
