Darlene Jean Thorp, 75, of McKeesport, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Kane Regional Center, McKeesport.  She was born July 19, 1940 in Wilkinsburg, PA, a daughter of the late John and Bertha Thorp.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Stewart.  She is survived  her four sons, John, Richard, Gary, and Charles (Carla) Blon; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, on Friday from 4-5 p.m.  followed by a memorial service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the White Oak Animal Shelter, Lincoln Way, PA.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.

Julia T. Benvin, age 74 of North Huntingdon died February 5, 2016 at Latrobe Hospital. She was born February 28, 1941 in Dublin, Ireland, a daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Bryne Nugent. Julia enjoyed knitting, crocheting and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Sean and Eddie, one sister, Marie. She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Joseph J. Benvin, four sons, Sean Benvin and his wife Nicole, Ryan Benvin and his wife Paula, Wayne and Garry Aiken, one daughter Tara Ferraro and her husband Steven, three brothers, Jim, Willie and Paddy, two sisters, Hannah and Dolores, 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.

Prior to her retirement, Pearl was a Home Interiors Consultant, was a member of Norwin Alliance Church and the Norwin Democratic Club. She enjoyed decorating, shopping for her family and loved her pets, Jack, Butters and Tim.
