Ellen A. Hildenbrand, 65, of North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017, after a brief illness.
She was born February 20, 1952, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Harry Dean and Nancy (Rain) Hildenbrand. After graduating from Howland High School, she earned a degree in Computer Science from the University of Akron. After retiring from Mine Safety Appliances she found her greatest joy learning and teaching others about the art of decorative painting. She was a member of the Golden Triangle Decorative Painters where she had served as president, Town and Country Decorative Painters, and the Irwin Art League. She is survived by sister, Beth (Jose) Colon, uncles, Robert (Nancy) Hildenbrand, of Greensburg, and Charles (Nancy) Hildenbrand, of Madison, aunt Rose Hildenbrand; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Amy Hildenbrand, from Cortland, Ohio, and brother, Michael Hildenbrand, of Pittsburgh. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. Burial will be private.
