And now, at last, is at peace.
Dianne Marie Michel, lovingly known by many as "Lil Di," was a woman of deep feeling and fierce edges-a complicated soul who lived a life marked by struggle, laughter, survival, and love in her own way. She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a friend, and in many ways, a mystery even to herself.
She loved hard, hurt deeply, and rarely let her guard down. But underneath the weight she carried was a spirit that still wanted softness, still reached for grace.
Dianne had a fire in her-one that lit rooms when she let it, and sometimes scorched when the pain grew too heavy. She was scrappy, unapologetic, and entirely unforgettable. For those who knew her, even briefly, she left an impression that didn't fade easily.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lottie Ann Addington, whom we trust met her with open arms on the other side.

John Raymond Palcsey, age 73, of Dravosburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025 after a brief but courageous battle with metastatic cancer. He was born on September 22, 1951 in McKeesport and lived his entire life in the community that he loved, Dravosburg. He graduated from Serra Catholic High School in 1969, and while he was there, joined the Third Order of Saint Francis. Following in his father’s steps, John joined Dravosburg Volunteer Fire Department Number One in 1967 and continued decades of service as a firefighter, lieutenant, captain, director, and financial secretary. He was a member of the Dravosburg Archives Committee and helped to organize the book All About “The Burg” documenting the history of Dravosburg released in 2003. He served as the borough emergency management coordinator for many years and later served for 12 years on borough council. He was also proud to have served as the president of the Western Pennsylvania Firemen’s Association. His servant’s heart was passed onto his children and has inspired countless people to serve their community. While he had many jobs ranging from a safety inspector/firefighter at the Bettis Plant and a flower deliveryman for Grayson’s, he was most notably known as the Dravosburg Postmaster, a position he held proudly for 26 years. His postal career lasted nearly 50 years. John was also an active member of Mary, Mother of God Parish in McKeesport and served on pastoral council for a number of years as well. He loved eating chicken wings, drinking Rolling Rock, listening to country music, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, and going hunting with David and Michael.

Julius Martin Panico, age 77 of North Huntingdon, passed away on June 5, 2025, at his home. He was born on June 30, 1947, in McKeesport, a son of the late Antonio and Rose Giganti Panico. Julius was a graduate of McKeesport High School and later did mechanical and auto body work. For the majority of his career, he was employed as a boiler maker by George Marker and Sons. He later went into sales at CS&E from where he retired. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding his motorcycle, boating and working on cars. In addition to his parents, Julius was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and Robert Panico, three sisters, Doris Crammer, Gloria Hockenberry and Joan Morris. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Haberjak Panico, two daughters, Lisa Panico Jackson (Bill), Wendy Lieberum (Eric), and two grandchildren, Isabella and Raelynn Lieberum. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on from Monday 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in McKeesport Versailles Cemetery. Pershing and stepdaughter of Laurel J. Pershing, who passed away December 8, 2020. Patti graduated from Elizabeth Forward High School. She attended culinary school and worked at local restaurants. Eugene N. "Gene" Capristo, 97, of Duquesne entered into eternal rest on Wednesday June 4, 2025 peacefully at Kane Community Living Center, McKeesport. Born November 24, 1927 in Duquesne, he was the son of the late Frank and Rose (Madero) Capristo and the beloved husband of the late Ann Catherine (Husar) Capristo who passed in 2018. Gene was a member of Holy Trinity Church of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish and the former Christ the Light of the World Parish in Duquesne. For over thirty years Gene was the proprietor of Capristo's Barber Shop in Duquesne and an employee at the former U.S. Steel Corporation in Duquesne. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and served the City of Duquesne as a councilman for twenty years. A great and loving father to his daughter, Cindy (Dennis) Caiarelli and his son, Dean (Susan) Capristo. He also was the proud Pap to his grandsons, Ryan (Vicki) and Nathan Caiarelli and four great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ava, Cami and Mia. He will be greatly missed. See you later dad. Love ya! John I. Mitchell, 72, of Clairton, PA, came into this world on June 25, 1952, in Elizabeth, PA. He was the son of the late James Martin and Erma Aggie. He graduated from Clairton High School, where he enjoyed playing sports like basketball and earned a letter running track. After high school, John attended an Apprenticeship program at Rosedale Technical Institute of Pittsburgh, PA, where he graduated with an Associate's degree. The degree allowed him to secure a position as one of the only black Chemical Millwrights for U.S. Steel Clairton Works. He retired from U.S. Steel of Clairton Works in May 2009 after 37 years of dedicated service. His first union, he was gifted with two children, son Kaliffe Mitchell (Marie) of Riverview, FL, and daughter, Johnitta Mitchell of Knoxville, TN. His last union was in 1981 when he met his current wife, Tamra; they united in marriage in 1994, and their union lasted a total of 44 years. In this union, he was gifted with a daughter, Lynae Mockabee-Mitchell, and a bonus daughter, Ebony Jennings (Kevin), both of Pittsburgh. PA. John enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing challenging board and card games like bid wisk and spades as well as socializing with his friends. He spent a lot of time growing all types of fruits and vegetables in his garden and then created delicious recipes.

Flora F. (Yoder) Pomocki, 85, of Port Vue, entered into eternal rest peacefully at the home of her sister, Cookie Yoder, on Monday June 2, 2025. Born in Homestead, November 21, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Margaret (Weber) Yoder. A wonderful caring homemaker she is the beloved wife of August Pomocki, she is survived by her loving sons; David (Kerri) Pomocki, James Pomocki, Thomas (Michelle) Pomocki and Mark Pomocki, a sister, Cookie Yoder, who Flora was not only a sister but a mother and best friend after their mothers passing. Flora is also survived by her grandchildren, Gabby Furey, Isabella Pomocki, and Dillion Pomocki, and a nephew, Robert (Kelly) Yoder. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert (late Sandy) Yoder.

Gerald “Jerry” T. Wagner, age 98, passed away peacefully in the home he built 65 years ago, surrounded by the family he so deeply loved. Born on April 25, 1927, in McKeesport, PA, Jerry lived a life defined by devotion—to his country, his work, and most of all, his family.
A proud veteran, Jerry honorably served in both the U.S. Army and Navy before returning to Glassport, where he began a long and skilled career as a machinist at the Irvin Works. It was also there that he met the love of his life—Evelyn, the girl who lived just across the street. Together they shared 56 wonderful years of marriage before Evelyn’s passing in 2010.
Jerry and Evelyn built a beautiful life together, raising six remarkable children: Gerald A. Wagner (Lynn), Bert P. Wagner (Kathy), Margaret J. Wagner, Kellie M. Wagner (Richard), Anthony J. Wagner, and Stacey L. Skerkoski (Eugene). Their home became the heart of the family—a place where grandchildren and great-grandchildren gathered, laughed, learned, and were loved unconditionally by their “Pap” and “Pappy.”
He leaves behind 14 beloved grandchildren: Lauren, Nathan, Hanna, Emily, Jessica, Jeremy, Luke, Jesse, Jacob, Jared, Josef, Chloe, Colton, and Caden—and 6 treasured great-grandchildren: Finnegan, Sullivan, Emerson, Olivia, Ford, and Vada.
Jerry lived a full life, rich in hobbies and humor. He loved cars, hunting, fishing, playing cards, and pulling off the perfect practical joke. Above all, he cherished a house full of family. His warmth, wit, and unwavering presence were the foundation of the Wagner family, and his legacy will continue to live on in every story told, every laugh shared, and every memory made.
He was the cornerstone of our lives, and his absence leaves a profound void. The impact he had on all who knew him is immeasurable, and the love he gave will forever echo in our hearts.

Born November 5, 1934 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Carmella Antonella. A former administrative assistant at Westinghouse's Bettis National Laboratory and member of Mary, Mother of God Parish - St. Angela's Church, Tina will always be cherished and remembered fondly by all for her strength of character, keen sense of humor, all-embracing kindness, unsparing generosity, remarkable resilience, and last, but not least, her truly exceptional baking skills and treats. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late Ronald A. Smith, who passed away in August 2005, and all seven of her older siblings. Tina is survived by her daughter Linda (Chris) Temple of Harrison City, her grandsons Michael (Ashley) Temple of Harrison City and Jeremy (Milena) Temple of Penn Twp, the light of her life, her great-granddaughter Lexi Temple, and also many nieces and nephews. Mary Ruth Queen, 77, of McKeesport, was born March 2, 1948, in Industry, PA. She was the beloved daughter of the late Cecil and Carrie Spence Anderson.
Mary was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School, a former member and past President of Mt. Vernon Elementary PTA. And she was also inducted into the softball Hall of Fame in Boston, PA.
Mary was employed at Dicks Sporting Goods warehouse working in the distribution, shipping and receiving departments.
Mary was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, friend, and wife of the late Robert Queen, Sr.

Carol was a lifetime member of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church of McKeesport, Pennsylvania. For many years, she served on the Senior Usher Board. She was employed and retired from Mon Yough Community Services as a receptionist. Carol was a member of the Robinettes (Clairton 88’s women’s softball team). She was a fashionista and loved to attend the Ebony Fashion Fair Fashion Show every year that it came to Pittsburgh.

Starting her journey as a Ballerina at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, then going to Chatham University to become a teacher, attending St. Margaret's School of Nursing, and finally achieving a Master's degree at Waynesburg University while working as and RN for the VA Hospital in Oakland. Melissa was a member of the White Oak American Legion Auxiliary #701, as well as the American Legion Riders. She enjoyed her trips on the motorcycle, camping, and also loved crafting and being a dog mom. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Robert J. "Bob" Stefanic; her 2 sons, James F. (Angela) Stefanic of Pittsburgh, and Samuel R. (Sasha) Stefanic of Upper St. Clair; her grandson, James R. Stefanic; nephew, John (Crystal) Goldsworthy; and many loving friends. Thomas Wayne Carpenter, age 75 of North Huntingdon, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 1, 2025 while surrounded by his family. Born on October 15, 1949 in New Castle, he lived a life marked by kindness, humility, and unwavering love for his family. Thomas proudly served in the United States Navy, demonstrating a deep commitment to his country. He was a member of Word of Life Church in Greensburg, and the owner and president of Kress Manufacturing. Thomas was a gentle soul with a generous heart, known by all who loved him as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Carpenter, his four sons Chris Carpenter (Kim), Aaron Carpenter (Amanda), Ryan Carpenter, and Jeremy Carpenter, and his cherished grandchildren Morgan, Levi, Tyler, Braden, Sam, Makayla, Owen, Trey, and Ethan. He also leaves behind his brother, Donald Carpenter (Mary), sisters Cande Haski (Marty), and Lynn Rabosky (Ron), and many extended family members and friends. Thomas was preceded in death by his loving parents, Donald and Ruth Carpenter. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, steadfast love, and the profound impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Thomas's legacy lives on in the lives of his children and grandchildren, who were his greatest pride and joy. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, on Thursday from 4-7 PM, and Friday from 10-11 AM. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11 AM with interment to follow in Irwin Union Cemetery. Beth Ann (Schaming) Mattie, 58, of Port Vue, died June 1, 2025. She is the daughter of the late Charles and Sarah (Yousko) Schaming. She is survived by her significant other, Emil "Tim" Yesensky; daughters Courtney Mattie and Sarah (Kevin) Peindl; son Drew (Jennica Shearer) Mattie; grandchildren Carson, Jaxson and Lilliana; brothers Chuck (the late Michelle) Schaming, Darrell Schaming and Dwayne (the late Theresa) Schaming; sister Milissa (Stuart) Kernstock; also nieces and nephews. Robert D. Nicklow Sr., age 90, of Forward Twp., passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Jefferson Hospital. A 1952 graduate of Dunbar Township High School, he was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ in Monongahela and a faithful servant of the Lord. As an Evangelist, he did missionary work in the United States, Canada, and South America. He was a former employee of U.S. Steel Clairton Works’ engineering department and a former member of the Clairton and Jefferson Hills Auxiliary Police departments. He retired as an insurance agent for American General Life Insurance Company in White Oak. Born January 18, 1935 in Phillips, PA, he was a son of the late Arthur and Edith Paloma (Stull) Nicklow. He is survived by his wife, Pamela J. (Rimel) Nicklow; daughters, Bonnie S. (Alan) Metzler of Columbus, Ohio, Robin D. (James Sr.) Burns of Troy, NC and Tamara A. Morle of Detroit, MI; sons, Robert D. (Chris) Nicklow Jr. of Monongahela and Daniel J. (Marnie) Nicklow of Monongahela; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Leah Nicklow of Connellsville; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, Harry, Donald, Stanton and Melvin Nicklow; sister, Geraldine E. Lenhart; first wife, Nancy Ann Nicklow, and second wife, Margaret “Alice” Nicklow. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A funeral service in the funeral home chapel will be Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 10 AM with Evangelist Robert Nicklow Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Connellsville. John Pacerucha, age 81 of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born August 2, 1943 in Glassport, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Prokopchak) Pacerucha. He was preceded in death by his siblings Anne Handra, Michael and Paul Pacerucha. John is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Caren (Yanik) Pacerucha. He was a loving uncle to two generations of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. John was caring and loving to his cousins and friends. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era and a member of the American Legion Post #443 of Glassport. He was a member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish.

Lois Jean Connolly Rodman, age 75, of McKeesport, PA, died on Saturday, May 31, 2025. She was born in Braddock, PA on August 24, 1949 and was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mary E. Letchford Connolly. She graduated from Braddock General Hospital School of Nursing. She retired after many years as a dedicated registered nurse, for which she had a deep passion and cared deeply for everyone. She enjoyed spending time with her family, teaching her grandchildren how to make pierogies and loved shopping. She will be deeply missed. Her quick wit and sense of humor will be deeply missed by family and friends.
