Patti had owned the Comfort Zone tanning and nail salon in Level Green, and work at the Westwood Banquet Center in Duquesne before dedicating her time to her mother’s care.

Betty Ruth Kline, age 88, of White Oak, died May 28, 2016 at her residence. She was born in McKeesport on August 22, 1927 and is the daughter of the late Max and Leona Berkowitz Greenfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of over 60 years, Bernard H. Kline, a WW ll veteran and her brother, Donald Greenfield.

She was a retired registered nurse, a former Brownie Leader, loved to go to lunch with her friends and play bridge and Mahj Jongg. She was a member of Temple B’Nai Israel, the Sisterhood, B’Nai Brith Women and Hadassa. She truly enjoyed singing and tapdancing in the Sisterhood Plays and at the membership luncheons.

She is survived by daughters; Ellie (Bruce) Lederman of Pacific Palisades, CA, Meryl (Fred) Trachtman of Olney, MD, son; George (Mary Jo) Kline of White Oak, grandchildren; Eric, Jeffrey, and Joshua (Elizabeth) Lederman, Reita, Lena, and Max Kline, and Rachel and Molly Trachtman, and sister, Phyllis Greenwald of N. Hills, California.

Friends and family will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Tuesday from 1:30 until 3:00 pm. when services will be held in the funeral home chapel. Rabbi Paul Tuchman will officiate the services and the eulogy will be by Rabbi Daniel Schiff. Burial will follow in Agudath Achim Cemetery in Forest Hills.

He was a member of the Sierra Club, Dental Association of Western Pennsylvania, Hungarian Room Committee of Pittsburgh, and served as secretary and treasurer of the Hungarian Social Club of McKeesport.

Born March 15, 1929 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Jula) Hirjak, and beloved husband of the late Margaretta (Mastilak) Hirjak. Michael honorably served in the US Navy, and following his military service, he began his career as a Master Technician for the automotive industry. He worked for many years as the Service Manager at Devereaux Chevrolet and Tom Clark. He was also a member of the White Oak Gun Club and the National Rifle Association. Mike enjoyed playing checkers with his great-grandson Jacob and loved watching his great-granddaughter Maura dance. His talent and passion for fixing things and being an all-around handyman will be missed by many. He is survived by his daughters,  Linda M. (Gary Kiesell of White Oak) Kiesell of Liberty Boro, Patricia Ann (the late Bob) Bashore of Elizabethtown, PA and granddaughter, Stacey Tabanli; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Maura Joy Tabanli whom he adored; his loving companion, Norma Budnick; and many nieces and nephews. Irene Fenton Laura, age 90, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at St. Anne Home, Greensburg.  She was born June 13, 1925 in Boquet, PA, a daughter of the late Charles H. and Marie S. Anderson Fenton.  Irene was a member of St. Michael's Orthodox Church, McKeesport and deeply loved and cared for her family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, M. George Laura; siblings, Cecil Fenton, Lois Auden and Gladys Barnhart.  She is survived by her son, William Terry Laura and his wife, Barbara, daughter Janet Dranko and her husband, Dennis; six grandchildren, Jason (Amy), Chip, Chad, Bryan, Christopher and Jennifer; and 12 great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA.  A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Entombment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.

Edmund J. Traczynski, age 84 of McKeesport, died April 24, 2016 at his home. Born July 10, 1931 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late John and Josephine (Mucha) Traczynski, and beloved husband of Dorothy (Frinsko) Traczynski for 64 years. Ed began his career as a butcher at a young age, and went on to become part owner of the J.T. Packing Company in McKeesport, where he retired from after many years of dedicated service. Following his retirement, he worked for City Foods and also served the community as a security guard at Renzie Park. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Gary Traczynski of McKeesport and Deborah Ann Traczynski of San Francisco, CA; siblings, Irene Charmo, Virginia (Sam) Greese, Maxine (Norman) Sherwood, Ruth Ann Stoffiere and John (Julia) Traczynski; also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry and Edward Traczynski. Per Edmund's request, services will be private and are entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory. The family would like to thank the staff of Bridges Hospice for the love and compassionate care provided to Ed .
