Ralph Waltemire Jr., 88, of Delmont, formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away May 12, 2016. He was born August 16, 1927 in Clymer, the son of the late Ralph Waltemire Sr. and Clara Hollis Waltemire. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of over 62 years, Alice Irene Kirkland Waltemire; brother, Charles Waltemire; sister Catherine Brandon; and grandson Clayton Ciocca. He was a member and elder at First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Bushy Run American Legion Post 260.

Ralph was an Army veteran who served in World War II. He earned an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1961, and he worked at Westinghouse for 39 years and retired as the Manager of the Engineering Department. He and his wife loved their RV and traveled all over the United States and spent 22 winters in Florida. He enjoyed spending time at their clubhouse and was a life-long Steelers Fan. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his friends at Cloverleaf and their special social events. He is survived by his sister Marjorie Strong of Indiana; children Linda (Jerry) Brunson of Trafford, Sharon (Spencer) Brady of Uniontown, Darlene (Curt) Ciocca of North Huntingdon and Larry (Mary Kay) Waltemire of Middletown, Delaware; grandchildren Scott (Jodi) Brunson, Jeffrey (Carissa) Brunson, Michelle Rogers, Gregory (Dana ) Brady, Sarah (Jason) Patrick, Laura (Eric)Robinson and Preston and Devynn , Rachel Ciocca, Luke Waltemire ( fiancée Samantha McCarthy), Jake and Taylor Waltemire; and great grandchildren Ryan Brunson, Brady Brunson, Anna Brunson, Brooke Brunson, Bailey Brunson, Cooper Brady, Abigail Brady, Layla Brady, Noah Rogers, Evangelina Rogers and Hunter Patrick. Friends and family will received at the First Presbyterian Church Irwin, from 1 to 1:30 pm Saturday May 28th in the vestibule followed by a memorial service officiated by Rev. Dr. Ronald H. Wakeman. Interment will follow at Long Run Cemetery in North Huntingdon. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church Food Bank, 617 Main Street, Irwin 15642.
