Theresa Aversa Rivetti, 95, of Elizabeth formerly of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born in Pizzoni, Prov. DiCatanzaro, Italy on October 28
th, 1923 to the late Domenick and Lucia Donato Aversa. Theresa was the loving wife of 33 years, to the late Charles Rivetti. She is survived by her step children Andrea Rivetti Dotson, of N. Tonawanda, NY; Chuck (Shelley) Rivetti of Johnstown, PA; grandchildren, Cindy Filia, of Elizabeth, PA; Michael (Kim) Filia, of Elizabeth, PA; Rickilynn McDonald, of N. Tonawanda, N.Y.; Gregory (Jessica) Cook of N. Tonawanda, N.Y.; Katie (Ben) Sechrist, of Sayre, PA, and Andrew (Shanice) Rivetti, of Fredericksburg, VA, as well as many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Theresa was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Filia; her sister Marianna (Francesco) Marino and brother Nicola (Connie) Aversa. She was a retired employee of Giant Eagle where she worked as a clerk. Theresa was a member of Holy Spirit Church in West Mifflin, the previous Saint Paulinas Church in Clairton, and a member of The Sons Of Italy, in Glassport. She enjoyed baking, cooking and loved being a grandmother. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6

Florence Worek Michaels also known as "Flo, Matka, Mom and Nini", our Lord called her home Oct. 1, 2019 at 93 years of age she was born March 31, 1926 and lived in Glassport all her life.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband George, they were blessed with 61 years of marriage.
She is survived by her son Kenneth (Alice) Michaels of New Bern, NC; daughters Geralyn (David) Sefchok of Cheshire, CT and Bonnie (James) Leasure of Harrison City; granddaughters Sarah Sefchok, Caitlin and Julia Leasure; granddogs Rusty and Maxie; sister-in-laws Aleen Michaels, Mary Ann Worek and Mary Bifano and was preceded in death by her son George Michaels; brothers Joseph and Stanley Worek and sister Wanda Ropar. She was a loving wife and mother who truly put her family first.

LeLa M. (Simmons) Powell, 84 of McKeesport, Pennsylvania formerly of Duquesne, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family Monday, September 30, 2019, at home.
LeLa was born June 23, 1935, in Tuscaloosa, AL, daughter of the late Luther Simmons and Nicey Charles Simmons. She was also preceded in death by her late husband John Alfred Powell.
Ms. Powell worked as a CNA for Riverside Nursing Home for many years. After moving to North Carolina she was a faithful member of Piney Grove AME Church in Evergreen NC, where she played an active role on the deacon board, usher board, and sang in the choir. After relocating back to Duquesne, Pennsylvania she reunited with the Payne Chapel AME Church.

Elizabeth M. Betty (Ellis) Bogacik age 93 of Sharpsburg, GA., Formerly Of Duquesne, on September 27, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth (Kaplar) Elles.
Betty was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish in Duquesne. She played the bass Fiddle in a musical group, and wrote a song about Christ the Light of World and presented it to the parish. Betty created her own crossword puzzles and dedicated her life to God and was very generous and gave glory to God.
Her former husband, Paul J. Bogacik, preceded her in death.
She is the mother of BettyAnn Harvey of Cumberland, Md., Bonnie (David) Calhoun of Hanover, PA., JoAnn (late John III) Hailstones of Liberty Boro, Theresa “Terri” (Mark) Dull of Sharpsburgh, GA., Paul (Jodie) Bogacik of Orlando FL.
Sister of George (late Irene) Elles of Erie, PA., also 4 grandchildren and 1 late granddaughter and 3 great grandchildren.

Tim was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and Penn State University. He was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He had worked for US Steel Clairton Works, and also worked for Allegheny County as Assistant to the Director of Human Resources, tip staff to Judge Ronald Follino, and Supervisor for Juvenile Court/Probation.
