Edward Meador, 50, was born March 18, 1970, in McKeesport.  The beloved son of Robert (Hazel) L. Meador and Aileen (Holmes) Murray, departed this life on December 8, 2020, at UPMC McKeesport. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Stephen Murray.    

Edward Meador was a father of 4 and loved by his Fiancé, Naimah Williams. He enjoyed Friday night boat rides and whiskey bbq. He loved home-cooked meals, ribs, greens beans, and potatoes; so much so his nickname was Porkchop. He was loved by family and friends. He dedicated his Sundays to reading the bible with his fiancé and praising God.

Edward is survived by his parents, Robert (Hazel) L. Meador and Aileen (Holmes) Murray; children Manisha Tatum, Jonathan Bagley Sr., Chelsea Sherman, Z’lamir Meador-White; brother, Robert Meador Jr of Erie, PA; sister, Stephanie Murray of McKeesport, PA; grandchildren; Keontae Traimere Harrison, Na’sir Javari Tatum Bagley Jr.; nieces, nephews,  extended family and friends.

Sherman E. Elias, 90, of White Oak, died Monday, December 14, 2020 at Sinai Hospital, Baltimore, MD.  Born in McKeesport, July 19, 1930, he was the son of the late Martin and Beatrice Davis Elias. 

Husband of the late Arlene Gland Elias, he is survived by his daughters, Ruth (Jacob) Gordon of Baltimore, MD and Mimi (Mitch) Maizlech of Israel, grandchildren, Naomi (Aryeh) Ho, Aaron Gordon, Shui Maizlech, Sammy Maizlech, Sarah Baila (Tzvi) Friedman, and the late David Gordon, great grandchildren, Meir Ho, Dovid Simcha Ho, and Ezra Ho, and by brother, Ray Elias of California. 

Mr. Elias was a member of the Congregation Gemilas Chesed and the Jewish War Veterans was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force. 

He was an insurance broker and real estate agent associated with the Lee Nationwide Agency of White Oak.

Prior to his retirement, Gilbert was project manager for Westinghouse and a veteran of the US Army.  He was a member of St. Agnes Parish and enjoyed reading, researching his genealogy, fixing things and spending time with his family.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Kubancsek; brothers, Kenneth and Eugene Kubancsek; sisters, Irene Vargo and Violet Mae Evanov.

She was a member St. Michael's Parish in Elizabeth Twp. and a former member of the Central Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Born June 5, 1945 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Hugh Bartrug and Edith (Connors) Shaler and wife of the late Duane Ellsworth Kennedy. She is survived by sons, Eugene Pritchard of Rostraver Twp. and James Pritchard of Rostraver Twp.; grandson, John Pritchard of Dravosburg; brother, Arthur Bartrug of Carnegie; sisters-in-law, Joyce Bartrug and Brenda Bartrug; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Hugh and Don Bartrug. There will be no viewing. Private family burial will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.
