Theodore “Frank” Zarichansky, 92, of North Versailles, Pa., died on February 23, 2021.
Born in Wall, PA, February 21, 1929, was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Bernadine (Stalowski-Ellenberger), parents John and Catherine (Zamiszcak) Zarichansky, four brothers (Michael, Anthony, Andrew and John), one sister (Mary Rullo), and step-son Jack L. Ellenberger.
He is survived by his brother, Nicholas (Mary) Zarichansky, his step-children Donna (Louis) Paulisick, Darryl Ellenberger, and step-son’s widow, Sharon Ellenberger. He is survived by nine grandchildren: Richard and Karen Paulisick, Kristin (Dr. Jim) Richards, Jocelyn (Jeff) Bell, Jack (Michelle) Ellenberger, Kayla (Robert) Michalak, Nathan Ellenberger, Michael Ellenberger, and Brandon Ellenberger; and 13 great-grandchildren Matthew Paulisick; Coleman and Caroline Richards; Jennings, Greyson and Charlotte Bell; Alexi, Leo and Julian Ellenberger; Mason, Rylan, Kanon, and Declan Michalak. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Esther (Joe) Deleo, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara (Vranko) Taylor, 64, died Feb. 24, 2021, with her loving children at her side. Barbara was the beloved daughter of the late Joe Vranko and late Helen (Gala) Melko. Loving and devoted mother of Jessica (Daniel) Spung and Brandon Taylor. Barbara enjoyed baking, reading and animals. Barbara worked as a personal care attendant for the physically disabled for over 20 years. She was a kind, caring person and will be deeply missed.

Chuck T. “Yuss” Yellich, age 91, of Duquesne, passed away on February 27, 2021 at Kane Regional Center-McKeesport. Born in Duquesne on March 16, 1929, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Cvitak) Yellich. Chuck was retired from U.S. Steel-Duquesne Work in the General Service and Transportation Department after 39 years. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-Holy Name Church, Duquesne-West Mifflin Knights of Columbus #4210, the former Men’s Club at Christ the Light of the World Parish and he proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War and also in the Navy Reserves. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ann (Merisko) Yellich; father of Lori (Bob) Rushe of Duquesne, Michael (Chris) Yellich Bowman of Las Vegas; grandfather of Heather Jessip; great grandfather of Tanner Michael Jessip; brother of the late Joseph (late Josie) Yellich and late Margaret Yellich.

William Karako, 88, of North Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at The Grove, North Huntingdon. He was born February 12, 1933 in Duquesne, a son of the late Joseph and Rebecca Bayzat Karako. Prior to his retirement, Bill was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service and later drove bus for Norwin School District. He was a veteran of the US Air Force having served during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, Julius and Eugene Karako. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Medulic Karako; son, Steven (Charlotte) Karako; daughter, Karen (Kenneth) Watson; grandchildren, Quentin, Kristopher, Becky, Mandy; and great-grandchildren, Luna and Oren. Lois Yvonne Mains, 92, of White Oak, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, February 21, 2021. She was born January 31, 1929 in Greenock and was the daughter of the late Frank L. and Bernice (Huemme) Railingshafer. She lost her beloved husband, William (Bill) Mains on March 10, 2015. She had worked by his side for many years as his secretary for his successful landscaping company. Lois was a member of Greenock United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and if you were married in the 50’s and 60’s she was most likely the vocalist that sang at your wedding. She was an avid golfer and was on the Butler’s Ladies and The Wednesday Wonders golf leagues at Butler's Golf Course in Elizabeth Township. One of her greatest dreams became a realization when she got a hole in one at Butler’s on August 17, 2010 at the young age of “81.” She was a member of The Red Hat Society and the Elizabeth Township Senior Citizens. She was also a member of the AARP - Clairton Chapter #1612 and enjoyed many pleasurable trips, the most recent to Rome/Greece in 2019.

James “Jim” Jackson, of Liberty Borough, died on February 25, 2021, from complications from dementia. He’s survived by his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Louise Jackson, and his brother Albert Jackson (Carol). Harry (Cokie) Couchenour, 90, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Harry was born December 5, 1930 in Youngwood, PA, son of the late Harry and Ethel Couchenour. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Marilyn Moore Couchenour in 2016 and a sister, Janet Leighty. He is survived by two daughters, Lynn Keegan and husband Pat of Unity Township, and Lauren Condon of Latrobe; a grandson, Ian Condon (Esther), of Charleston SC; Ian's father Harry Condon, and a sister, Linda Price (Dennis).
Harry had a 40+ year career working for Westinghouse, retiring from the Waltz Mill Site. During his retirement years, he immensely enjoyed traveling in his motorhome with his wife, Marilyn. He was a longtime member of Circleville United Methodist Church. A quiet man, Harry was born to be a servant to all. He loved to work, could fix anything, loved helping others with projects and would always be there for you. Even into his 80's, once he cleared his own walkways and driveway of snow, he would do a couple neighbors' driveways, as well. He enjoyed being outside and caring for all the rhododendron and shrubs that his wife lovingly planted all around their beautiful property. Most of all, he loved his little family, and his daughters were always his pride and joy, of which he proudly told everyone.

Marilyn Ruth Mular, age 89, of White Oak, died on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. She was born in McKeesport, PA on August 17, 1931 and is the daughter of the late John and Mary Hayduk Rice and the wife of the late Joseph Mular. Marilyn was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and was a retired elementary education teacher from the McKeesport Area School District. She was a substitute teacher for the McKeesport schools after her retirement as well as a volunteer at St. Angela Merici School. Marilyn was a part time math teacher for the Allegheny Intermediate Unit and a former volunteer cub scout leader. She was a current member of St. Angela Merici Church where she was active through the years and a volunteer for the McKeesport Regional History & Heritage Center. In her earlier years she was very much interested in the stock market and enjoyed watching it daily.

Richard D. Jenkins, age 67 of Clairton, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Jefferson Hospital. Born July 5, 1953 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late George Walter Jenkins and Mary E. (Neal) Jenkins Chamets. A former truck driver for many area companies, Richard was a member of the Sons of Columbus, Santa Maria Council #3 of Clairton and Club 46 of Wilson.
A funny man with a great sense of humor, he loved to make people laugh and smile. He was a huge Steelers fan and, in his spare time, loved to fish, tend to his vegetable garden, and enjoy a cold beer. He will be missed by his friends and family. Besides his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife Angela (Angotti) Jenkins, who passed away August 21, 2020, and his siblings Frances Horgos, Margaret Medved, and James and Scott Jenkins. He is survived by his children Richard Jenkins of Clairton and Gina (Jason) Collins of Whitehall; his grandchildren Dejah, Nikko, and Gisele Jenkins; his sisters Nancy Mazzola of Clairton, Judy Wesolowski of Glassport, and Lisa Jenkins of Sutersville; and also nieces and nephews.
