Marcus “Marc” Glenn Stauffer Jr., 72, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. Marc grew up in White Oak, PA and lived in a few places before settling in Arlington, Virginia where he spent the majority of his years.

Marc graduated from McKeesport Senior High School in McKeesport, Pennsylvania and his continued education included a bachelor’s degree from Bethany College, in Bethany, West Virginia, as well as a Master of Divinity from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School in Rochester, New York, and Doctor of Theology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Marc was an avid reader, lover of genealogy, wildlife, conservation, LGBTQ+ rights, political science, and he loved his morning conversations with family and friends. Marc also loved animals, as he and his husband had numerous cats and dogs throughout their lives. Marc found joy in cuddling with pets, as they brought him comfort and companionship after the passing of his husband, Steve.

Linda L. (Crookham) Heath, age 73, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Jefferson Hospital. She retired as a self-employed aesthetician. She was a former manager at Gale Trucking in Elizabeth, a former coach at Dish Network in McKeesport, and a former member of Blaine Hill Fire Hall. Born August 26, 1947 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Annie (Halt) Crookham. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Garner G.  Heath; sons, Harry "Butch" Serena of Elizabeth Twp., Earl (Lynn) Rothey of Madison and Brian Rothey of Charleston, SC; stepdaughters, Garnet (Tom) Sevcik of Elizabeth Twp. and  Patty (Chris) Kraemer of Moon Twp.; granddaughter, Samantha (John) Walker of Port Vue; sisters, Mary Ann (Bert) Morey of Texas and Faith Murphy of Elizabeth Twp.; stepbrother, Albert DiVirgilio of Elizabeth Twp.; stepsister, Denise Pellegrino of Clairton; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by granddaughter, Alyssa Rothey. No visitation or services are planned. Karen M. (Tom Katona) Paterra, 71, lifelong resident of Versailles Borough, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020 in White Oak. Karen was born in McKeesport on April 14, 1948, daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Smith) Paterra of Versailles Borough. She was preceded in death by her sister, Paula Paterra who died in 1972. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Church - St. Patrick Worship Site, The Palenese League of America, and served as a past officer of the Palenese Women's Auxiliary She was retired from the County of Allegheny where she worked for over 24 years as an administrative secretary. Karen was a jack-of-all-trades. and would attempt any home repair job that she physically could. She was a women of great faith and her family was the center of her world. She was a 1966 graduate of McKeesport High School. From 1969 to 1971 she traveled to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy and France. For her, the highlight of these travels was when she was so close to Pope Paul VI, she could almost reach out and touch him.

Sally was a member of Central Presbyterian Church where she was a Deacon, Elder, Choir member and past president of the Women's Association. She was also a member and past president of the McKeesport Symphony Ladies Auxiliary. She was previously a member of the former First United Presbyterian Church of Boston.

Van Ryn, 63, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at UPMC McKeesport Hospital.  She was born May 13, 1957 in Homestead, daughter of the late Robert and Gerri (McClintock) Thomas.  Pam was a graduate of Norwin Sr. High School Class of 75 and a member of Norwin Christian Church.  She was the best mom and grandma and loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed gardening and loved sunflowers.  She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Robert Van Ryn; daughters, Hanna Burke and her husband, Pat, Marissa Donahoe and her husband, Tom; brothers, Robert D. Thomas Jr. and William Thomas; grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Josephine, Porter and Wyatt.  Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Ron was the owner of McKee Asphalt Paving Co. in Duquesne for 50 years and enjoyed going to the casino and making sure his vehicles were impeccable. He was the husband of the late Geraldine (Huwalt) McKee; father of Debra (Ron) Kurta of Duquesne, Michelle (John) O’Donnell of North Versailles, Ronald “Butch” (Stephanie) McKee Jr. of West Mifflin, Michelle (Steve) Guffey of North Huntingdon, Cynthia (late Patrick “Mick”) Mains of White Oak; brother of Robert (Gina) McKee of White Oak, Noreen (Bill) Dirling of McKeesport, and late Jean (husband Tom survives) O’Neil; companion of Denise Garvey of Canonsburg; and also survived by Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. Richard was a member of Christy Park United Methodist Church and was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a former City Controller and Tax Collector for the City of McKeesport and had retired from US Steel. Richard was manager of McKeesport 50 + Softball Team and was instrumental in the Mon Valley Unemployed Committee that was formed in the 1980s.

She worked as a secretary for Firth-Sterling Steel Co. in McKeesport, PA for many years, was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton, and a former member of St. Paulinus Church in Clairton, where she served as a secretary. She loved going to the Twinsburg Festival in Ohio with her twin sister Ella and her greatest comfort was walking through the Holy Doors of the Vatican in Rome.

Born February 19, 1931 in Bitner, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Edith P. (Stull) Nicklow and wife of the late Lawrence C.  Lenhart. She was a loving mother to Deborah L. (the late Ronald) Albeck of Boston and the late Robert L. Lenhart; grandson, Timothy Lenhart of Altoona; brother, Robert D. (Pamela) Nicklow Sr. of Forward Twp.; her puppy Molly; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, husband and son, she was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond, Harry, Donald and Melvin Nicklow. Friends will be received in the Paul E. She was a member of St. Eugene Church in Liberty Boro and would work as a secretary for the family business. She loved spending time on the family farm (Perkoski’s Farm) and will remember as a loving mother, grandmother, and as the glue that held the family together.
