Richard T. “Chicken” Prakop, age 84, of Duquesne, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022, at home. Born in Duquesne on August 29, 1938, he was the son of the late John and Barbara (Bornyik) Prakop. He was a retired machinist from Mesta Machine, a member of the Pine Run Boat Club, and a member of the Croatian Club of Duquesne. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Steven (Rita) Babyak of Forest Hills, Jerry (Kathleen) Babyak of Acme, PA, Les (Donna) Babyak of Shaler Twp., and Bonnie (Carl) Begovich of Florida. He is also survived by many great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Marion (Frank) Clark, William (Agnes) Prakop, Emma (Stephen) Babyak, Irene (Edward “Rusty”) Wilmans and John (Louise) Prakop. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October  8, 2022, from 2-6 p.m., at which time prayers will be offered, at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. Joanne M. (Stoffiere) Gassner, age 83, formerly of Elizabeth, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Mon Valley Care Center. She enjoyed country music, traveling, crafting, reading, shopping, cooking and baking - especially cookies, and loved spoiling her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born May 30, 1939 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Loretta Mesko and wife of the late Joseph J. Gassner Jr. She is survived by daughters, Darlene Gassner of Pricedale, Linda M. (Earl) Parker of Charlottesville, VA and Patricia (Howard) Sajecki of Wake Forest, NC; son, Joseph B. (Peggy) Gassner of Belle Vernon; grandchildren, Emily (John) Anthony, Miranda (Jack) Smeck, Sarah Parker, Ashley (Steven Norelli) Sajecki, Amber Sajecki, Valerie (Patrick) Hassler, Joseph (Virginia) Gassner Jr. and Jessica (Phillip Smith) Gassner; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Olivia, Rebecca, Payton, Reagan, Camryn and Thane; also, sister-in-law, Winiford Burke; brother-in-law, Richard Gassner; and nieces and nephews. Salomea "Sally" Ann  Prailey, 87, of Boston, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 at home. She was born August 22, 1935 in Boston and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Martinaitis) Wroblewski Snyder. She was the wife of the late Frederick R. Prailey who passed away February 26, 2010. They were married for 56 years. Sally was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church in Christy Park. She was an Administrative Assistant to the District Manager at the former J.C. Penny Co. in the Eastland Mall, She worked there from 1967 to 1997. She had previously worked at McKeesport AAA, Helmsteder's, and Balsamo's. Sally was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an excellent homemaker and loved to cook, bake, and make candy. She was also a seamstress and made clothes for herself, her daughter and even made miniature Barbie Doll clothing. She loved her cats, reading, gardening and watching the history and educational channels. She enjoyed knitting, crochet, crossword puzzles and motorcycling with her husband. She was quick witted, ornery, and extremely strong willed. She was an impeccable dresser and loved sweets and chocolate. Sally and Fred loved to travel and were once labeled "The Travel Couple" by the former McKeesport Daily News.

Whittington of Front Royal, VA and the late Kathryn Vyolet “Kitty” (Jewell) Whittington. An avid bowler, Matt was a member of the AMF Bowling League in Rostraver Township. He is survived by his wife, Maranda Hill-Johnson; two daughters, Abby and Raelynn Whittington; son, Austin Hill; brother, Timothy (Lindsey) Whittington of Forward Township; nieces, Hallie and Hadley Whittington; four brothers in-law, Edward and Gene Davis, both of the State of Washington, Andrew Davis and Thomas Frye, both of South Park. Love, 71, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, September, 30, 2022 at home.  He was born October 4, 1950 a son of the late William and Katherine (O'Conner) Love.  Prior to his retirement, Richard was an operating engineer for Local 66 and attended First Evangelical Free Church, McKeesport.  He enjoyed playing softball, hunting, was a model train enthusiast and loved spending time with his grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Leo.  He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Lori (Nindle) Love; daughters, Katie Grubbs and her husband, Robert, Jamie Stone; brother, Ronald (Vivian) Love; sister, Kathy (John) Wheeler; Papa to, Jaelyn, Jakob and Emry; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the James W. Nancy Shuber, 78, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital.  She was born October 5, 1943 in Plum, a daughter of the late Morris and Minnie Machen.  Prior to her retirement, Nancy worked for Monsour Hospital and later became an administrative assistant for family practice residency at Shadyside Hospital and after retirement worked at the family business, Shuber Service.  She was a member of Herminie Methodist Church and enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas and visiting the casinos and her Thursday night Whiskey and cookies with her cousin, Jen.  Nancy was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and canine companion, Robin.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Shuber; daughter, Barbara Shuber Eiser; brother, Robert; sister, Rose "Pat" George; half-sister, Grace Seemuth; and half-brother, Alan.  She is survived by her son, Stephen Shuber and his wife, Renee; two granddaughters, Anna and Megan; and brother, Bobby Machen.  Friends will be received from 6-8  p.m. on Thursday and 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the James W. Louise Mallozzi, age 99 of Elizabeth Twp. and formerly of Clairton, passed away at home on Thursday, September 29, 2022.  Born October 11, 1922 in Besancon, France, she was a daughter of the the late Alexander and Josephine (Gennari) Cola.  A member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish - St. Clare of Assisi Church, Clairton, Louise was a member of the St. Clare of Assisi Parish Womens Guild and the Sons of Columbus, Genova Council #6.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dominick Mallozzi, Jr., who passed away April 15, 1975, her daughter Phyllis (Mallozzi) Petros, and her son Ronald D. Mallozzi.  Louise is survived by her daughter Nancy (Larry) Toth of Elizabeth Twp., her grandson Michael (Renee) Toth of South Park; her great-grandsons Alex and Joey Toth; her son-in-law Tom Petros of Port St. Lucie, FL; and also nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She graduated from McKeesport High School and attended business college in McKeesport. She was employed as a secretary at USX Edgar Thompson Works for almost 35 years and also employed at USX Homestead Works and Christy Park Works for some time. She was a member of the First Christian Church in McKeesport and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Jay Patrick Null, 60, of McKeesport, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 after a courageous battle with ALS. He was born December 4, 1961 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Robert M. Null, Sr., and the late Mary M. (Madden) Null. Jay was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish- St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Township and was also a member of the church choir. Jay was a 1979 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and received his Bachelor's degree from Penn State University and his MBA from Waynesburg University. He was a Senior Marketing Engineer for Westinghouse. Jay was a very kind, compassionate man who cared very deeply for his family, friends and neighbors. He loved dogs, gardening, and was an excellent cook and baker.

Edward G. Tirk, age 81, of North Huntingdon, died September 26, 2022, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. Born February 24, 1941, in Altus, OK, he was the son of the late George E. and Mary Jane (Larouere) Tirk and husband of Merry (Humphries) Tirk. 
Edward had a lucrative career with Kodak, touring the country as a Technical Sales Rep. After he retired from Kodak, he became Sales and Marketing Manager for Filmet. He served as Past President of the Norwin Lions. Ed was a motorcycle enthusiast, rode for many years, and was a member of the PA Spyder Riders. 
In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by children, Eric (Christine) Tirk, Christopher (Christine) Tirk, and Natalie (John) Masten; grandchildren, Kailee Spaur and Savanna Tirk; sister, Diane (David) Owen; nephew, Daniel (Cara) Owen; great-nieces, Greta and Liv Owen; brother in law Robert Humphries: mother of his children and good friend, Patricia Tirk-Arena and his cat BooBoo. 
In addition to his parents, Ed was also preceded in death by a grandson, Simon, and a great-grandson, Leo.

  Kipling “Kip” Tornblom, 60 of North Huntingdon died unexpectedly September 25,2022. He is the son of James and Delores (Hursh) Tornblom. His battle ended in the arms of his loving wife and best buddy of forty years Cathy (Jackowski) Tornblom; daughters Heather (Kevin) DeFrancesco and Amber (James) Nicholls; granddaughters Riley Nicholls (13) who was his true “buddy guy”, Giavanna (4) and Valentina (3) DeFrancesco who he referred to as “his Indians”. Kip was a simple kind of guy and his only wish was that we all stay happy and love one another unconditionally. Sisters Loreen (John) Vigne, Darla (Jeff) Kelly, Honey (Joe) Ebbitt; brother Shawn (Tracey) Tornblom; also several nieces and nephews; and multiple close friends. Kip was an AVID Trump supporter “FJB”. Kip was a “Jack of all trades”, a master craftsmen… building his own home and helping numerous others build theirs. His true adoration of American made Chevy and GMC trucks was quite obvious. Kip had unwavering admiration for John Deere tractors. Please remember his sense of humor and how he loved to laugh, listening to country music… and as Hank said… “A country boy can survive” Kip was a tremendous husband, father and grandfather!
