Cecilia A. Pollock, age 81, of McKeesport, formerly of Versailles Borough, died July 12, 2016, at John J. Kane Regional Center. Born June 14, 1935 in Blacklick, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul T. and Cecilia Betty (Verst) Pollock.
Cecilia had worked for Pellecchia Beauty Shoppe and retired from Giant Eagle. She was a member of St. Patrick Parish. She enjoyed donating to many organizations.

John F. Sisko, Sr.

John F. Sisko, Sr., age 64, of McKeesport, died July 13, 2016, at his home. Born January 25, 1952, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ann (Ondrovic) Sisko and the husband of Nancy (Keener) Sisko.
For 15 years, John worked for Dura-Bond Industries at the Liberty Borough and Duquesne plants. He was a past member of St. Mary’s Czestochowa Catholic Church. John enjoyed spending time with his family, his dogs, gardening and watching the Syfy channel.

Rose Marlene (Andreoli) Chiaverini, age 75, of North Huntingdon, formerly of White Oak, died July 10, 2016, at home with her loving family by her side. Born April 25, 1941 in Liberty Borough, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Angelina (Patriarco) Andreoli and the wife of the late Anthony Chiaverini.
Rose was the owner and operator of Chiaverini’s Family Restaurant. She was a member of St. Patrick Parish, where she formerly served on the finance committee. She was also a member and former president of the Palanese League of America and a member of the White Oak American Legion Post # 701. 

Edward Terry “Tank” Gilmore

Edward Terry “Tank” Gilmore, age 40, of Duquesne, formerly of Lincoln Borough, died July 1, 2016, at UPMC Mercy. Born September 4, 1975, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Edward Terry Gilmore and Linda (Webber) Gilmore.
Tank last worked for MPW Industries, in Dravosburg. He had a passion for motorcycles, tattoos, muscle cars and drag racing. He always had a smile on face, an infectious laugh and everyone knew when he walked into a room. Tank will truly be missed by everyone that knew him.

Thomas D. Gatchie, age 59, of Clairton, formerly of McKeesport, died June 28, 2016 at his home. Born June 30, 1956, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late John and Catherine (Coulter) Gatchie and the husband of the late Gina L. Gatchie.
Tom was a hard-working man, who worked at S&S Transit for many years as a driver and dispatcher. He was a wonderful, gentle person who found sobriety late in life, overcoming the impossible and lived proudly to tell the tale. Tom was giving and selfless and would take the shirt off his back for a stranger. He made you feel like you mattered and would extend his hand to anyone in need.

Kathleen Rosso, age 61, of Port Vue, died June 23, 2016, at UPMC McKeesport. Born May 7, 1955, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Helen (Novotniak) Rosso.
Kathleen was a member of Holy Family Polish National Catholic Church in McKeesport. She dedicated her working life to helping children with special needs. A former teacher at Baldwin-Whitehall School District, she currently served as a private, special education tutor. Kathleen’s favorite pastime was going to the casinos with her family.

Susan A. Pollard, age 63, of Wilkinsburg, formerly of Troy Hill, died June 16, 2016 at home. Born May 24, 1953, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Trudy Klein and the wife of Allen Roberts.
Susan worked as a caretaker for the mentally disabled. She loved vacationing in Costa Rica with her sister Marie and found great delight in nature. Susan was a talented artist in design, painting and sculpture.

Robert E. Danforth, age 66, of McKeesport, died June 21, 2016, at UPMC Shadyside. Born February 8, 1950, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Albert L. and Helen I. (Balyo) Danforth.
Bob worked at US Steel Duquesne Works in his early years. He was a member of the former Riverview Baptist Church, where he happily volunteered for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and dear friend Nancy Price.

Joanna Carrozza, age 80, of McKeesport, died June 14, 2016, at Mount Vernon of Elizabeth. Born July 30, 1935, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Helen (DellaPenna) DiVirgilio.
Joanna was an administrative assistant for 34 years at Westinghouse Electric, Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in West Mifflin. She was a member of St. Patrick Church. Dancing was one of Joanna’s favorite pastimes. Her first date with, Bernard “Bernie”, her husband of 61 years, was to a local dance.

Helen M. Snyder, age 80, of New Lenox, IL, formerly of McKeesport, died June 11, 2016. Born September 4, 1935, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Glowaty) Cielieska and the wife of the late Thomas Snyder.
Helen was retired from McKeesport Hospital, where she worked in various capacities in maternity, mail room and cafeteria. She was a former member of St. Mark Parish and attended St. Jude Parish, in New Lenox. She enjoyed being involved in the Port Vue Borough and volunteering for Election Day. Helen was also a Pittsburgh sports fan, a member of the Penguins Booster Club and was best known for her delicious stuffed cabbage and chicken noodle soup.

Bert Gaal, Jr., age 81 of McKeesport, died June 7, 2016, at John J. Kane Regional Center. Born May 6, 1935, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Bert and Elizabeth (Kish) Gaal, Sr. and the husband of Wanita S. (Chalfant) Gaal.

Bert retired from National Tube, where he worked as a machinist. He was a former member of First Free Evangelical Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, watching Pittsburgh Penguin games and was an avid Dallas Cowboy football fan.

Mary Ann Bench, age 75, of Port Vue, died June 2, 2016, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born June 2, 1941, in Wilkinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Vella (Riffel) Perino and the wife of the late Joseph Bench.

Mary worked as a licensed cosmetologist in her early years and later as a nurses aide, until retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in McKeesport. She was the past president of the Red Hat Ladies Society at Riverside Nursing Home. She enjoyed trips to the beach, crafts, bingo, and she especially enjoyed bowling with the other residents of Riverside Nursing Home.

Frank T. Carek, age 55, from McKeesport, died Sunday, May 29, 2016 at his home. Born December 2, 1960, in McKeesport, he was the son of Bert and Wanita S. (Chalfant) Gaal, Jr.
Frank was an auto body technician. He enjoyed the outdoors, the beach at Outer Banks, NC and all Pittsburgh sports. He loved the family pets, Puppy, Lucy and Bella.

Victor W. Molnar DDS, of McKeesport, died May 20, 2016, at Southwestern Nursing Care Center. Born June 24, 1928, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Barillo) Molnar.

Victor was a retired dentist. While maintaining a private practice in McKeesport, he often provided free dental services to McKeesport School District students. Victor was a member of the former Transfiguration of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church, where he served as a trustee. He was a member of the Sierra Club, Dental Association of Western Pennsylvania, Hungarian Room Committee of Pittsburgh, and served as secretary and treasurer of the Hungarian Social Club of McKeesport.
